Yes, there are several shows that, while not critically acclaimed, managed to avoid major controversies. Here are a few examples: “The Brady Bunch” - This classic family sitcom from the 1970s wasn’t a critical darling but has remained a beloved part of pop culture without being marred by significant controversy. “Gilligan’s Island” - Another show from the 1960s that wasn’t highly praised by critics but became a cult favorite. It has maintained a positive reputation over the years. “Full House” - While not considered a great show by critics, this 1980s and 1990s sitcom has a dedicated fan base and has largely avoided major controversies. “Saved by the Bell” - This teen sitcom from the late 1980s and early 1990s wasn’t critically acclaimed but became a nostalgic favorite for many without significant controversy. These shows might not have been groundbreaking in terms of quality, but they have managed to stay in the public’s good graces without being overshadowed by scandals.
I thought you had to have evidence in sexual assault cases. I don't feel comfortable with people remaining silent for decades and then coming forward and the court goes on testimony only.
think of it this way kimberly, if say one of your friends were to babysit your kids, but you find out that they're accused of assaulting a 10 year old girl, would you wait for it to go to court for a verdict and let them keep watching your children alone? The Answer to that is almost certainly no. evidence is for the court room; what people do or don't do in the wake of allegations is unrelated to that.

It’s really hard watching some of these shows again with the awareness of the controversy behind the actors and the show in general.
In other words, we can't separate the art from the artist.
I don’t agree with Buffy being on the list. The toxicity surrounding Joss Whedon has done nothing to ruin the legacy of the show that I am aware of. If anything, it has strengthened the love for the female cast.
The show(s) in which the scandals didn't affect my perception; Buffy & Angel. I love and still watch those shows!
I have no trouble returning to any show that has a scandal as long as I enjoy the show.
For me, the behind the scenes conflict between the two stars of Castle makes it hard to rewatch the series.
TBF they are such consummate professionals that I couldn't even tell they had irl beef, since it never showed
it's not really hard for me to rewatch these shows, but it definitely makes me sad and it just isn't the same anymore....iCarly, Drake and Josh, Amanda Show, All That, Smallville, Roseanne....
Keep it up on your work and this video and channel
I love this video and channel
Thanks you for your video and channel
Two issues: Empire was halfway through its last season, so Jussie didn’t affect it, and the Cosby Show is Iconic: We separate Heathcliffe Huxtable from Bill Cosby. Plus it’s still being rerun on a number of networks today…….🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
10:11 Lies you tell WatchMojo. The legacy of The Cosby show will never be tanked. We will always love that show. People know how to separate characters from real life. The reputation of the show is still stellar even if some networks won’t air it. The representation of a loving, supportive family who treat each other with dignity will never be erased.
Rant Over✌🏾
Well even if WWE isn`t ruined we all know at some points it sucked because of Vince McMahons crimes and Hulk Hogans racism
I am shocked to hear that about BUFFY but if it came on today, or if it was available on one of the streaming apps I have, I would still watch it
Its hard to watch iCarly knowing everything that went on behind the scenes, not to mention Rick and Morty.
What happen behind the scenes this guy didn’t even say in the video
@@Ghostaredead The documentary went into detail about Dan Schneider and how he interacted with his young actors. It basically said he was sexualizing the girls and other accusations. Quiet on Set makes you feel bitter at the end.
@phantomrequim it has a bad impact on Nickelodeon
Pootie Tang was genius. Never saw anyrhing else louie seekay did.
You guys forgot to mention Smallvillie . I can't re watch that show knowing Allison Mack was in a cult and was involved in human trafficking. i can't separate her personal life from her acting.
Oh wow
Honestly, That 70's Show co-stars who defend a Sex Predator. Prove's You don't have heart for the victims. You think you do, But really you do not. I'm glad your ruined making an apology video for almost protecting him still! You don't even now what your saying. Danny,Aston and Mila are all dishonored figures.
This video is censored in such a funny way. I guess youtube has really gone downhill
They said "great shows" some of these were popular but still didn't deserve a pilot
I watched several of the shows before their controversies. I continue to watch them now. Why would I allow the real word behavior of an actor affect my perception of a fictional character they portrayed?
On some shows it is easy to do it, however when the show has them as an exaggerated version of themselves it's when it becomes harder to do so.
@djpegao
Especially when the actor’s name is in the title.
*That 70s show doesn’t seem as ruined since that 90s show exist. BUT the ranch (a netflix show with Danny and Ashton) was ruined irl.*
Cosby wasn't a shock being number one.
That 70's show was full of scientologists. Never gonna watch this cr*p.
At least Laura and Topher are still good in my book
Also in That 70's Show, Wilmer Valderrama got into A HUGE Age gap relationship with Lindsay Lohan before she guest starred.
Doesn't seem to have ruined him. He's been on NCIS for several years now and it's pulling great ratings.
And Demi Lovato
Was either of them a minor if not so what ? Age gaps are not illegal and are only wrong depending on how much of a prude you are.
@@WinstonSmith19847 they were teenagers
@@deaditeera Teenager does not necessarily mean illegal depending on where you are in the US the age of consent in some places is 16 so as I said it depends on how much of a prude you are whether or not it's wrong.
It's difficult to return to The Cosby Show. I literally grew up on listening to and watching Bill Cosby's comedy.
Empire was such a great show; Taraj and Terrance were so good together. Jesse had to mess things up by lying about his attack but thanks to him people are now hesitating to make a report of them being attacked
Smallvile should have been mentioned because of Allison Mack’s involvement with Keith Raniere the NXIVM cult
If you can't separate media from a person's personal life you are doomed. Cosby was it for us black kids growing up and one man's controversy will never diminish the impact that show had on us!

I think it is a matter of individual conscience. It is their choice if they can separate the art from the artist.
A lot of horrible acts get ignored by people like you so they get to go on, Hell, maybe even LIONIZED. YOU are the doom. Ignorance is bliss, to the ignorant and to those who abuse it for their own gain.
I'm someone who can't, whenever I go back and watch I just see a monster.
I'm still a Buffy and Angel fan, despite of the allegations of Joss Whedon. We are getting very few good female main heroes these days and I hope Xena does not any allegations as well.
Two and Half Men = Charlie Sheen's controversy
Smallville = Allison Mack's case
Amazing video watch mojo of great shows ruined by conspiracy/controvery,fantastic job.
Yes, there are several shows that, while not critically acclaimed, managed to avoid major controversies. Here are a few examples:
“The Brady Bunch” - This classic family sitcom from the 1970s wasn’t a critical darling but has remained a beloved part of pop culture without being marred by significant controversy.
Yea I guess
I thought you had to have evidence in sexual assault cases. I don't feel comfortable with people remaining silent for decades and then coming forward and the court goes on testimony only.
Most sexual assault cases don't get reported because how traumatizing it is. Guess who actual report sexual assaults less? Men.
think of it this way kimberly, if say one of your friends were to babysit your kids, but you find out that they're accused of assaulting a 10 year old girl, would you wait for it to go to court for a verdict and let them keep watching your children alone?
The Answer to that is almost certainly no. evidence is for the court room; what people do or don't do in the wake of allegations is unrelated to that.
Do people still watch Seinfield, despite Michael Richards' racist rant years ago?
@@kenterminateddq5311 Compared to Sexual Harassment, or Fake Hate Crimes, I honestly believe Michael Richards made a stupid mistake when it comes to his Racial Remarks, and has tried for years to clean himself up. Jussie Smollett is 💯 times worse than Michael Richards, using the BLM to make himself look like an A-Lister for Nothing
@@kenterminateddq5311 Jussie Smollett is 💯 worse than Michael Richards. It’s one thing to act like that, but it’s even worse to fake it, and trying to get others on your side

Yes we do.
You're kidding, right?
Wow, some of these controversies really did ruin great shows! 😲📺
it just sucks - I LOVED That 70s Show.
Jeffrey Tambor’s abuse of Jessica Walter is a bitter pill to swallow, and seeing the two on screen together is even harder to stomach, so I’ll never see _Arrested Development_ in the same light.
It's not as well known...but Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency....We lost out on the whole third season cause of shit that the producers did
Or what about the animated shows like ren and stimpy, loud house, Clarence, twelve forever and retcely mighti mgiswords with their creators going through a lot of controversy
I Lmao everytime they showed The Cosby' s opening on Family Guy, it is hilarious! 🤣😂
2:46 I was like Is that the reason why Max from Secret Life of Pets voice was different?
Grace Under Fire
Show isn’t ruined, the persons reputation is
Exactly! Many ppl make a show!
well in Smollett's case , it caused the show's cancellation. Ratings plummeted and FOX pulled the plug. They didn't even get a final episode, thanks to COVID
@@radrobd123 True but personally I think the show was better off without him I was never really a fan of his anyways
How about the Wonder Years, especially Fred Savage’s allegations. It doesn't help with that Boy Meets World episode.
Cosby is the one that hurts. I grew up on his comedy and the TV show I Spy and also loved The Cosby Show.
Once again, Bill Cosby takes the top spot!
Charmed: Alyssa Milano's feuds with Shannon Doherty and Rose McGowan.
You’re missing Growing Pains. I really mean it, if Kirk didn’t turn out to be a nut job…
you mean a Christian? so if Kirk was a drug abusing, women chaser like Charlie Sheen, the show would have been ok in history
Plus Robin Thicke. Poor Alan RIP.
Still rewatch all of these. A good show is a good show can't change that.
Only people who cant separate the art from the artists would let themselves be ruined by shows
It's a little trickier to do when the show claims it's a "exaggerated version" of themselves
@@djpegao that still mean it is acted and scripted
@@Denis-89 That is kinda hard for most people when someone is known too well for a show, movie, or character.
Number 7:Most of Dan Schneider Shows from Nickelodeon
Never care for that joke in Amanda show in which Amanda's character is using the bathroom in public
7th heaven and Glee should be on here
An older example Hogan's heroes clouds of mystery and scandal over the death of Bob Crane changed the point of view...worse later views about WWII made the show seem insensitive (Despite both actors portraying nazis being Jewish)
The actors who played Klink, Hochstetter, Burrkholter and Schultz were all Jewish and all WWII veterans. Robert Clary was a French Jewish actor who survived the holocaust, and lost 10 siblings there. That is why the show was not considered offensive. If these actors thought it was okay, chances are it was not offensive.
@@kandilee9892 i agree and most do now but then there was a time in 90s where that was forgotten lol
The documentary "We Need To Talk About Cosby", blew my mind.
I use to look to the Cosby Show as like a refuge as well as a comedy show.
And Im a guy too.
Diff'rent Strokes... The kids after the show went through hard times. Dana & Gary have lost their lives. Todd is the only survivor.
The Goldbergs should have been on because of Jeff Garlin’s confrontation with Human Resources while filming
Hey Dad..!
Australian sitcom from the late 80s/early 90s. Years later, it was revealed that the Dad was molesting the actress who played his youngest daughter.
It’s a shame these shows were ruined for so many people.
As much as I can I don’t let behind the scenes/ extraneous issues affect my enjoyment. These kinds of things can happen in every job. In most jobs you would never hear about it.
Along the lines of the cosby show, the fat albert cartoon series (I grew up on)
Hey! Hey! Hey!
Lovecraft Country is great but the Jonathan Majors weird stuff is distracting
FYI: The only episodes that Roiland "Wrote" were the intergalactic cable episodes, and other mostly improvised episodes
Do top 10 TH-camrs everyone lost respect for
I watch for the shows! And I chose not to allow what the actors have done in their personal lives to affect a good show
I hate how, That 70's Show, has been ruined.
