It’s astonishing how these days a TH-cam video about the failures of mainstream entertainment can be considerably more entertaining than mainstream entertainment.
I don't watch these movies series because they are so boring. Sometimes I go a full month without watching anything just playing video games. Much more entertaining.
It took a long time for them to realize that. There were more than enough problems in the real world and yet they paid for getting their idols destroyed just to feel even more miserable.
As a person in a wheelchair, why do producers care about whether or not a person in a wheelchair is depicted as evil or good? I think it's more disrespectful to believe that a person in a wheelchair CAN'T be evil, as if being in a wheelchair makes a person immune to being evil.

My wife never saw The Matrix so we watched it last night. It struck me that there was a time when you could go into a theater and get blown away by a cinematic masterpiece that had no political message or agenda....just a great story. That don't seem to exist anymore, evidenced by the fact that the 2 biggest movies of last year were Barbie and Super Mario Bros.. Both of which would have been barely noticed Saturday matinee movies 20 years ago.

I spent my entire childhood going to the cinemas and liking the movies I watched... I was so used to them being good that I can still remember the first bad movie I watched (first of the star wars sequels, bloody hated it) and how heartbroken it made me feel :((( from then on it only went downhill and now my favourite hobby only makes me sad

I just started reading the novels. I picture Henry Cavil as the Witcher. I'll never bother with the show. The books are good-to-great fantasy. It is very sad they couldn't have given us the stories that are in the books... Hollywood is a lost cause.

I originally was baffled that Velma wasn’t included on this list, but that’s when I realized that Velma is literally unwatchable. At least a majority of the shows and movies on this list are watchable to a certain extent and considered “entertainment,” no matter how pandering. Velma is an encapsulation of everything horrible about the modern world we live in, meaning that it’s so bad that it’s less of show and more of means of physical and mental torture, made by hateful people. Because of that, I think it’s best that it’s left completely forgotten about.
i honestly cant get why anyone thought Velma was a good idea. There are 2 main groups of Scooby fans: adults who grew up watching it and kids who are it's current age demographic. The series is aimed at adult fans so that rules out the first half of their fan group and adult fans of the show are people who like the old versions of the show, like Scooby himself, and like the overall goofy, campy vibe of the old shows. Velma not only sharply deviates from the original but actively mocks the older fans of the show and goes out of its way to mock and deride men in general, white people in general, and especially cis white men. That makes little sense though since even if you're not white and not a cis male then you're unlikely to find the mockery towards white people and men very funny since the show doesnt even really do it in a humorous manner, they're just straight up mean spirited about it. Also it's doubly stupid since actively mocking and clowning fans of the original losses them _many_ if not _most_ of their potential fan base, and at least based off some common sense the series being originally a 60s and 70s animated american show that's still widely popular in the US you'd assume the fanbase is majority white. The series seems to be made to mainly pander to people who are not white, not cis male, who hate white people and/or cis males, and who dont like any past versions of Scooby Doo but are also not children... which cant exactly be a large market for an American adult animated series, especially considering most non-american viewers are likely to watch it mainly due to name recognition, ie fans of past Scooby shows.
Velma just isn't big enough. Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Dr Who these were beloved huge IPs. Velma is horrid, but it's not likely to affect Scooby Doo even if some normal human wanted to do something with it. Velma is inconsequential.
I successfully avoided watching any of these disasters thanks to yourself and many of those you have on your channel. Voting with my time and my dollar and these got neither!

I was a big Dr. Who fan in the mid 1980's when I was a kid and remained a fan all through to the early 2000's. Last year, 2022, I said I was going to get re-invested in Dr. Who and I am so glad I did not. I am a black man who loves sci-fi and hate when politics and agendas especially the LGTB agenda is put into TV shows and movies related to comics and sci-fi and I REALLY hate the fact they always use a person of color when they are doing it as to pander to the black race which is truly an insult. I NEVER ever want to see a BLACK and gay anything in sci-fi or comics especially a ICON like Dr. Who.

Now, I know next to NOTHING about Doctor Who, but I assume the character looks the way he does because he's half human, half dalek, and the easiest way for a lower budget show to display that is the wheelchair esque look he had before. In fact, most handicapped characters these days are treated like angels, as if they can do wrong. Even when their disability in question varies from physical to mental and congenital to acquired. Admittedly I walked away from new Who in 2016 and have cleansed my palate by continuing to watch old Who, but when did the Doctor ever talk about ANYONE being hot, male or female? I mean in classic Who he was pretty much asexual. In new Who there was underlying romance but it always came across to me as deep conmections he had made with someone (Rose) rather than just acting like a teenager and thinking someone is hot. Funny that, how he only thinks people are hot when it will explicitly confirm his gayness.
That's also when I walked away. Barely made it thru Martha's run as a companion. Donna was annoying AF to me, so when Matt Smith took over I had nothing left in the tank to give AF for the new (also annoying) companions and Doctor Bland.

I have a few friends who work in LA and they say that Hollywood genuinely believes that the work they are making is amazing… and because it’s an echo chamber even if they wanted to say something no one would hear them.

I was out with the family for New Years and there was a Star Trek themed game. Had all the classic Captains and ships. A young teenage girl asked her father “What’s Star Trek?” Her father responded “It was a TV show.” Broke my Trekkie heart. But it shows how irrelevant it has become that not even a father who is in his mid to late 30’s uses “was” to describe it. For the record, I’m the same age as the father.

Seem to me the biggest problem with the movie industry is they don't have any of their own original thoughts. If the movie's not chasing, exploding or being shot, it's not. Remake this, rewrite that, we'll make a sequel. That's about the extent of what is coming out of Hollywood.
I'm 66 & the last film I saw either at home or in the cinema was when I was 18. I haven't watched TV for at least 25 years. Being "outside the asylum" as it were, I like to check every few years to see how the inmates are doing. It all looks totally self destructive to me. I though the idea of a movie was escapism & enjoyment, not to ram indoctrination for the latest woke rubbish down people's throats. Hopefully the kick back from the public against it, combined with the kick back against industry (Bud Light, Target, etc) will be enough to convince these idiots that they have to start catering for the 99% who can see through this trash rather that for the 1% who make all the noise. I was a senior IT technician for over 45 years & have a degree in computing & Microsoft MSCSE, MSCSE/I & Cisco CCNA qualifications & keep up to date with all technological advances. It’s not a movie but Final Fantasy XVI (came out summer 2023) had a hot, ripped, rugged British guy with messy hair in leather pants killing bad guys and monsters with a sword. I can tell you that I did enjoy Clive Rosfield, he’s a guy that does the right thing and ngl he’s easy on the eyes. Also- omg? A LOVE INTEREST where he isn’t a total pushover?!? It’s so bad that a Japanese company does better than America at making an English medieval themed game. Idk if it helps but if you own a PS5 the game isn’t perfect, but tbh it’s on the higher scale of final fantasy and it’s more Dark Souls gameplay than Final Fantasy. Hope this brings you faith in humanity 😭🤣

I don't want to see a dumb movie where women behave as if they are flawless, the best at everything, and are accountable for their actions (not sure this is the correct expression), and worst of all, i don't want to see a movie where it feels like you have to dumb down men in order to make women shine 🙄 that is not how i envision womanhood and it's sure as hell not something i would want to teach my non-existent kids. I want to see a movie with a well-written character that happens to be a woman. Or at this point, just a well-written character.

My wife never saw The Matrix so we watched it last night. It struck me that there was a time when you could go into a theater and get blown away by a cinematic masterpiece that had no political message or agenda....just a great story. That don't seem to exist anymore, evidenced by the fact that the 2 biggest movies of last year were Barbie and Super Mario Bros.. Both of which would have been barely noticed Saturday matinee movies 20 years ago.

I originally was baffled that Velma wasn’t included on this list, but that’s when I realized that Velma is literally unwatchable. At least a majority of the shows and movies on this list are watchable to a certain extent and considered “entertainment,” no matter how pandering. Velma is an encapsulation of everything horrible about the modern world we live in, meaning that it’s so bad that it’s less of show and more of means of physical and mental torture, made by hateful people. Because of that, I think it’s best that it’s left completely forgotten about.

i honestly cant get why anyone thought Velma was a good idea. There are 2 main groups of Scooby fans: adults who grew up watching it and kids who are it's current age demographic. The series is aimed at adult fans so that rules out the first half of their fan group and adult fans of the show are people who like the old versions of the show, like Scooby himself, and like the overall goofy, campy vibe of the old shows. Velma not only sharply deviates from the original but actively mocks the older fans of the show and goes out of its way to mock and deride men in general, white people in general, and especially cis white men. That makes little sense though since even if you're not white and not a cis male then you're unlikely to find the mockery towards white people and men very funny since the show doesnt even really do it in a humorous manner, they're just straight up mean spirited about it. Also it's doubly stupid since actively mocking and clowning fans of the original losses them _many_ if not _most_ of their potential fan base, and at least based off some common sense the series being originally a 60s and 70s animated american show that's still widely popular in the US you'd assume the fanbase is majority white. The series seems to be made to mainly pander to people who are not white, not cis male, who hate white people and/or cis males, and who dont like any past versions of Scooby Doo but are also not children... which cant exactly be a large market for an American adult animated series, especially considering most non-american viewers are likely to watch it mainly due to name recognition, ie fans of past Scooby shows.
Velma just isn't big enough. Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Dr Who these were beloved huge IPs. Velma is horrid, but it's not likely to affect Scooby Doo even if some normal human wanted to do something with it. Velma is inconsequential.

Admittedly I walked away from new Who in 2016 and have cleansed my palate by continuing to watch old Who, but when did the Doctor ever talk about ANYONE being hot, male or female? I mean in classic Who he was pretty much asexual. In new Who there was underlying romance but it always came across to me as deep conmections he had made with someone (Rose) rather than just acting like a teenager and thinking someone is hot. Funny that, how he only thinks people are hot when it will explicitly confirm his gayness.
That's also when I walked away. Barely made it thru Martha's run as a companion. Donna was annoying AF to me, so when Matt Smith took over I had nothing left in the tank to give AF for the new (also annoying) companions and Doctor Bland.

I was out with the family for New Years and there was a Star Trek themed game. Had all the classic Captains and ships. A young teenage girl asked her father “What’s Star Trek?” Her father responded “It was a TV show.” Broke my Trekkie heart.
But it shows how irrelevant it has become that not even a father who is in his mid to late 30’s uses “was” to describe it. For the record, I’m the same age as the father.

Seem to me the biggest problem with the movie industry is they don't have any of their own original thoughts. If the movie's not chasing, exploding or being shot, it's not. Remake this, rewrite that, we'll make a sequel. That's about the extent of what is coming out of Hollywood.

I'm 66 & the last film I saw either at home or in the cinema was when I was 18. I haven't watched TV for at least 25 years.
Being "outside the asylum" as it were, I like to check every few years to see how the inmates are doing.
It all looks totally self destructive to me. I though the idea of a movie was escapism & enjoyment, not to ram indoctrination for the latest woke rubbish down people's throats.
Hopefully the kick back from the public against it, combined with the kick back against industry (Bud Light, Target, etc) will be enough to convince these idiots that they have to start catering for the 99% who can see through this trash rather that for the 1% who make all the noise.

It’s not a movie but Final Fantasy XVI (came out summer 2023) had a hot, ripped, rugged British guy with messy hair in leather pants killing bad guys and monsters with a sword. I can tell you that I did enjoy Clive Rosfield, he’s a guy that does the right thing and ngl he’s easy on the eyes. Also- omg? A LOVE INTEREST where he isn’t a total pushover?!? It’s so bad that a Japanese company does better than America at making an English medieval themed game. Idk if it helps but if you own a PS5 the game isn’t perfect, but tbh it’s on the higher scale of final fantasy and it’s more Dark Souls gameplay than Final Fantasy. Hope this brings you faith in humanity 😭🤣

Talk to people outside of hyper-liberal spaces and social media and you will realize that a lot of women actually agree with this.
