What is MUX switch?
@@warriorvedangopA switch to let dedicated gpu do the most. Usually display is connected to integrated gpu (processor gpu) so while gaming dedicated gpu is putting less effort. Dedicated graphics card is especially for doing heavy tasks and when you turn off the hybrid mode(mux switch) the display take everything from dgpu.

I'm not too sure. I just got the legion 5 rtx 2060 variant and my temperatures touches 102. Spikes. Usually stays between 84 to 95c . Without AC in Chennai summer.

This is a great video! I have a question tho, since monitor is connected to eGPU, does that mean nvdia GPU is always on? Even for the desktop or simple browsing? Wont this affect the battery and power consumption? And also, does this model have MUX switch?
Yes it has MUX switch, in its Vantage software it has got a option call Rybride mode so by turing it on u can switch to igpu

Rog is better.
The drawback of this laptop should be its hdd which is 5400 rpm so maybe if we install some games on hdd and play it then maybe it will stutter a bit and gives some frame spikes.

Compared to ideapad gaming 3, this laptop has more usb 3 ports, better thermals, better battery capacity, wifi 6 ,120 Hz display.

@Venom's Tech, would you recommend this laptop for research purpose. Like for running TCAD simulations for 2D/3D devices, reading/writing articles, surfing the internet, watching videos, multi-tasking, keeping 20+ tabs open in chrome etc... I'm not into gaming. Which one is better in my case, this laptop or hp pavilion 14-dv00tu (₹63k) model? Pls suggest...
For 2d rendering, the Intel Iris GPU of the HP Pavilion would be enough. Also, in the HP you will be getting 16GB RAM along with the laptop and because of that you can easily keep 20+ chrome tabs open but the Legion will only come with 8GB RAM, which is fine for most tasks but simulation will be faster with more RAM. Also, you will get 1TB SSD which will be much better than the 1TB HDD + 256 GB SSD or 512GB SSD that is provided in the Legion 5.
But for 3d rendering and simulations usually you will need a good dedicated GPU. I think the GTX 1650 of the Legion will do the job fairly well and much better than the Intel Iris. Also, the build quality and thermal performance of the laptop is very good so even if you use it roughly and put it under heavy load most times, the lifetime won't be affected significantly.
For other purposes like reading/writing articles, surfing the internet, watching videos, multi-tasking, you can use either one of the laptops. And the processors of both the HP Pavilion and Lenovo Legion are almost the same.
RAM can be upgraded in the future as well although it will cost around INR 4000, but the GPU of a laptop cannot be upgraded. So I think if you can spend a little more and upgrade the Legion laptop it will be a good purchase. But if you can make do with a lower graphics card and not much heavy 3d rendering work, the HP Pavilion would be the best option.

@@lionelmessithegoatLM10 when I looked up the specs of the HP pavilion, the processor was listed as i7 10750h which is hexacore and quite similar in performance with the 4600h. But the specs definitely might differ by country.

Bro, I am confused to select between hp pavilion gaming and asus tuf 15 (both ryzen 5 4600h and gtx 1650ti). I love tufs aurora rgb keyboard, but many owners are saying they are having thermal and display issues(a15) . Pavilion also looks sick. I only car about the performance. So which among these laptops do you prefer for me?
Yes asus thermals are shit.. Pavilion also have heating but lesser than asus.. Omen(144hz) and legion 5 is better

@@swapnilanand2557 it's very good dude...great one for entry level gaming...I got if for 67k....it's better to go for a proper gaming label than entry gaming label like TUF, pavilion gaming or whatevs....the build quality and thermals are worth the price!...I tried hp pavilion gaming...legion 5 is in another level in build quality...and I'm pretty sure it has better thermals than tuf
