- It was a very busy & chaotic Donington at the last evening track day of the year. I got behind a M2 Comp and tried my best to stay there.
3:28 If you look carefully the Porsche appears to slam all on from 100+ to a standstill infront of the 106.
This really shows again how good the GR Yaris works even in comparison to much more expensive cars. The M2 is only faster on straights, and even here it’s not enough to get rid of the Yaris.

Fellow GR owner here. As much as I love my GR a well driven M2C on a dry circuit with DCT should’ve had the legs on the GR. I think the driver was either inexperienced or way too cautious tbh.
Fantastic taste sir! He is romping away on the back straights but keeps catching traffic which slows him and clears it out of my way :) Really impressed by the M2 comp tbh, I'm tempted to replace my GTR with one to run alongside the Yaris.
@@StottyZr M2C is a quality car and very quick…. but in the dry only. They are very tail happy on any greasy surface and like all BMWs, wouldn’t see which way a GR went on a typical British B road. Especially in the autumn and winter months
I have to say, as an owner of a GR Yaris, it has the worst sounding induction of any car ever built. My Dyson vacuum cleaner sounds sportier
The GR does so well with half the engine,obviously not as fast straight-line with lower power/weight,there's more in it time wise too.
Never even notice the windshield cracked until 2min in LoL
Nice driving, the chap in the M2 was right on the limit at one point. Little GR is a serious bit of kit (I've got one in black). If it was wet, the M2 wouldn't know which way you had gone. Is your GR car standard? I'm considering a DTUK stage 2 tuning box for 321/450.
Have you got the stage 2 eventually?
Great footage - there was 22 seconds difference over the Nurburgring circuit between these two so on a shorter /tighter circuit things are going to favour the Yaris GR4. I fancy a M2 Comp and currently have the GR4 so l found this very interesting 👍👍
I fancy an M2 comp after chasing one! It would've romped away down the straights if it wasn't for the traffic slowing it. Would be nice to chop my GTR in and have M2 Comp & Yaris👌🏼
I really love seeing BMW fans to cry on here.Ok M2 is a very good and quality car for straight roads but in corners there is no comparison between GR YARIS.

Me too, could've caused a pile-up. I've never seen anything like that on track before
I heard, that the windshield of the GR is very "fragile" against scratches (even from windshield wipers).
Now I see a massive crack on this GR and wonder, if that might be true.
But why?

Where did you mount the camera mate?
I got an adjustable shower curtain pole from Screwfix for £7 and put it between the rear windows then used a go pro bar mount!😂
