- Follow one 2023 PCT hiker as she goes through the permit process on Permit Day. Watch how it all works, and share in her excitement as she not only gets a date, but gets the date she wanted all along.
Congratulations! Last year I was shut out and I was depressed for days. This year my time was 5 min. after yours and mid March it is. Best of luck to you! PCT 2023!
Congrats to both of us. Hooray! See you on the trail!
Wow that’s awesome 👏🏻 🙌🏼
It worked out perfectly. Got the date I wanted. Thanks!
Awesome! My log in time was 2:45. Nothing left. Will try in Jan.
Good luck to you in January!
Don’t let the PCTA ruin your dreams. Pull the Federal, State , and possibly local permits and go when you want. It will be some more work. There is online info on doing it.
We the people own this trail, not the PCTA. Yes, they do organize maintenance, but the trail will be there if they are not. Go enjoy!
I'm SOOOOO SUPER EXCITED for you! THANK YOU for sharing your journey.! Truly inspiring.
Only 123 days 👍
That is so nice of you. Thank you so much.
Great job guys - Happy for you that you got your date that you wanted. I start on March 14th. Safe Travels
Thank you, Shades. Good luck to you, too. Hopefully we will see you out there.
Congratulations. Exciting just watching you go through the steps. I hate technology so I hope to get a permit in the January draw.
Thank you very much, and good luck to you in January.
I can't figure out why April and May is more popular than March, other than trying to time when to enter the Sierras. Fortunately I have family in the Sierra foothills, so i don't have to worry about that. Good luck with everything, I start in March too.
Seems like the luck of the gods with the weather. One way or another, there will be challenges. Let's hope this year, March is the best time. Good luck to you.
@@anoldmantalksaboutlife I'm going to check out the 2017 PCT hikers. That seems to be similar snow year to what this year might be.
Congrats on getting the permit! You're starting literally 1 day before me, so hope to say hi on the trail!
Thanks! Looking forward to seeing you on the Trail, and congrats to you too.
