@@CarniviusPrime That's awesome to hear! I think those Ladybird books is the first time I every seen one of the Skelcon warriors. This Masterverse Version came out really cool! Thanks for checking out the review 👍
@@Themanchlid Is cool. :) Classics wasn't my thing (I just didn't vibe with the aesthetic or dated articulation and the giant pin holes or even the whole subscription thing) so never got the Skelcon from that (plus it only came with the Roton making it even more expensive). These ones though? Can army build the heck out of them though it may be rough for those folk who haven't many to get any yet (I don't collect Origins but friends mentioned Horde Troopers became difficult to get cos people would buy all the stores had). I already got two, I may get more (depending on how much money I have left after buying everyone's christmas gifts). Their appearance in Revelation also made me geek out a bit. There were a few other creature troopers in the Ladybird books but the Skelcons always stood out the most. :) Good review and yeah I said Origins ain't for me but that kitbash Origins Skelcon works well. :)
@CarniviusPrime Everyone has thier own taste! I love the Classics line because it feels like they took the vintage or now Origins figures and modernized them times 10. Which is basically what the line did. However it had its flaws for all the reasons you mentioned. I never liked the pin holes or cuts either. It's all vintage nastalgia with a modern twist in the end. The Origins has an even closer feel to vintage nastalgia. The Masterverse feels like a combination between the Classics, Vintage concepts, 200x and its own thing with better articulation and pin less joints. In the end the Masterverse gives Motu fans and adult collectors another way to collect a series simular to the Classics and much cheaper!
@@Themanchlid Yeah I did buy a couple Origins here and there but there was something that just wasn't doing it for me about them, which then Masterverse came and sorted out with it's taller more 'realistic' bodies and increased articulation. I do wish Masterverse was as modular as Origins though for easier customing. The mess I made of trying to give 1987 movie He-Man the new buffer torso from a spare Thunder Punch. Heck of a time cracking open a torso only to find that, despite both being masterverse, they used different size waist joints so I had to hack and slice away til it all sorta fit and I'm just thankful 1987 He-Man's harness is keeping his new body together. :P Classics was alright but yeah, I dunno, the aesthetics weren't for me, and the rather 'fat' look of the torso, even worse when characters wore removable armor like Fisto or Rio Blast. I like that the new bigger torso in Masterverse introduced with Revolution Battle Armor He-Man is bulky enough to look more imposing than the old torso but still not over done, so any armor doesn't end up with that big round look those Classics had. Anyways doesn't matter, point of this whole topic is.. the new Masterverse Skelcons are great and a lot more affordable than the Classics too. Enjoy! :D
