Amazing review as always! The amount of work you put into other figure comparisons, swapping parts and showing us ever weapon/armour/headswap combination possible is excellent. Really love the channel. Im all in on the Cartoon Collection, they just hit for me in a way the regular Origins figures didn't quite. I think its finally getting show accurate versions of these characters in this scale and familiar style. I would have killed for THESE versions of the figures in 1983-1986!
@@stevenfraser81 Thanks for taking the time to check out my reviews! Yeah these videos take a lot of time with certain comparisions, parts swapping and editing to put together. The sheath on Faker is much nicer, I really like that. His boots are better too. I collect a lot of action figure lines and one of my biggest pet peeves is the industry's insistence that gripping hand hinges should be horizontal and not verticle. You can do so much more with verticle hinges. Maybe horizontal is good for vehicle handle gripping? Fists with horizontal hinges makes sense but if you are going to have a figure hold a weapon, its verticle so you can point a sword or rest a gun or rifle on their shoulder. Makes for more natural battle poses. Rant over. Great review, thanks again!
@@whyldefyre6648 I'm surprised they don't include both a regular hinge hand and a vertical one as well for any He-man figure at this point in the line. I the cartoon Prince Adam has that hand and can work on this Faker because because the skin tones are close. Thanks for watching another review!👍
I like this one! I shop toys in the wild, so it was hard to find pure vanilla He-Man. So, I get Faker, and put Adam's head on him from the Cringer 2pack, and, viola, perfect He-Man! :)
@@bentonrp Thanks for checking out my review of this cartoon Faker figure! Yeah this Faker could be a lighter He-man variant with the second angry head included or the Cartoon Prince Adam figure with his head that is also very light in skin tones.
Some might not agree but honestly, Faker might become my new He-Man! I like that we are getting He-Man's angry head and the toon-accurate boots. I am not yet sure if I will be switching armors, as the darker color on the original is a better representation of the armor in the cartoon but those flaps did annoy me a bit and the fact that the sword actually fits the sheat is definitely a plus. 😃 These small differences actually made me excited for the Faker figure as we are no longer getting He-Man with a different head and no matter what you prefer this figure gives us the option to improve our He-Man if we choose so. Besides, having three different He-Man heads (smiling, neutral and angry) is great IMO. 😃
@@hegga_nm Yeah I agree! I think this is another good pickup for a Cartoon Faker or regular He-man with a different head, armor and lighter colors. The only thing really making him a Faker is the head with the growing eyes and the lighter tone body which isn't that accurate anyway to the filmation. The Regular Cartoon He-man also isn't dark enough. So the colors can work either way. The other sheath definitely fits the sword better now. Thanks for watching already!👍

Great figure, but I really wish they would have made him darker, this would have been the opportunity to match the cartoon better. Everything else they updated is great. Look forward to getting mine. Speaking of Filmation He-Man/Faker, news came out today that John Erwin who voiced them, and many other characters passed away at age 88 of natural causes. Very sad day on Eternia, and Earth. He was my favorite He-man, and always will be.
@allmusicfan88 Thanks for watching as always and sharing that info! Wow, I didn't know John Erwin passed. He will always be the best sounding He-man voice I ever heard. I kind of like that this Faker has colors that are slightly different from the regular cartoon He-man. But it's definitely an issue with mixing heads between the two bodies because of the tones.
@@Themanchlid Mattel has to always make it difficult with the colors with this cartoon line, if they would just do it right the first time, it would be left alone and done.
@allmusicfan88 Yeah, I guess they have certain ideas behind the choices. Or that is how the final figures come out, and it's not exactly correct to the original specs because of the injection mold machine that mixes plastics slightly off and the colors aren't right. So they ship it as is.
@@Themanchlid That would stink if they just went with what came out, instead of trying to get the colors to be correct for what they really want. But yeah, I can see them doing that too. The correct color of Filmation He-Man is "The Rock" from Masters of the WWE or Superstars. They won't see that.
@allmusicfan88 Figures that come out of the factory with certain off colors or paint apps are very common. Larger companies like Super7 and Neca will sometimes delay a figure with that problem as they get many test samples. Then they either approve the mass production or not. Of course, those figures are very pricy and complex. So collectors really go off when certain paint tones are off from what was shown as a final product at Toy Fair or Comic con, for example. Honestly, I think a line like Motu Origins isn't always taken that seriously with certain color issues in mass production. As long as the skin tones look like tan skin on a figure such as Cartoon Faker for example and not a crazy color like red or the vintage blue when it's not supposed to be.
I'd never seen the Filmation Multi-Bot design... he actually reminds me of Metal-Boto to some extent. Even though that's a play on Metalhead & Roboto, it's interesting how similar his name is to Multi-Bot as well. Hmm...
