I am a licensed nail technician in California specializing in natural nails. So I can confirm Isabella's nail tips are accurate and valuable. If I could emphasize a few very important suggestions, they would be consistent daily use of cuticle oil and wearing gloves while doing housework and yardwork. Another requirement to achieving and maintaining long beautiful nails is understanding that having long nails is a lifestyle; and requires constant commitment. One must always be conscious of their hands and be careful when performing even the simplest tasks. For example, something like opening a car door is a notorious nail killer. You can never be too careful. Good luck to those beginning their long nail journey!
WONDERING WHY I'M ACTING STRANGE? I'm using Character Embodiment in this video. This character demeanour could be received as smug or condescending, please understand I'm just experimenting with making this video more theatrical and performative as a way to explore my creativity.
If I could reach level 2 I'd be happy and I know how it's done but I WORK IN HOSPITALITY ANS MY NAILS ALWAYS BREAK YEAYYY also I really like this wig/character lol
I read this first and expected a lot worse tbh. You still seem pretty normal in this video and far less condescending than most youtubers (especially beauty related ones) which is why I continue to enjoy your videos, haha.
I love how Haircare used to be my hyperfixation and that’s how I found your channel and now it happens to be nail polish/nail care and you also have videos for that too 😭
Instead of a crystal nail file, you can buy nano nail files, they’re meant to be used as buffers to make your nail shiny but i use them as files and they’re amazing and cheap
If I can add my personal experience with nail journey: after trying all , I put a very thin layer of transparent builder gel and cure it for 60 seconds before applying my regular nail polish. That makes the difference for thin and brittle nails. You can keep the builder gel over a month under your mani… after one month of growing you remove the builder gel ( soaking in acetone 15 minutes) and then , do your nail routine as usual et reput your a thin layer of builder gel under . This is a game changer.
@@CreatedBySkylaI have the madam glam but Amazon brands are ok as well. The most important is to apply a very thin layer and to cure it under nail IV lamp. Good luck ❤
@@CreatedBySkylaanother thing 😊 after curing you can start to apply your regular nail polish and top coat as usual or only wear the builder gel for a while, time to your nails to grow, in this case, after curing, wipe each nail with rubbing alcohol to remove the sticky layer. Hope this will help.
another hack for the rubber gloves: generously cover your hands and nails in jojoba oil or hand cream when you do the dishes, the hot water and oil combo have given me insanely hydrated hands and nails
I've been trying to grow my nails for the past week (I'm a biter), and they've already grown SO MUCH. Not at a level 2 yet, though, lol. I think I've finally kicked my biting habit. I use cuticle oil and moisturiser every night and wear a nail strengthener polish. I've found this helps me as my nails tend to break easily especially because I work in retail and have no choice but to open boxes with my hands 😬 Still so impressed with my progress and will definitely be trying these tips!
I have heard about eating jello. It didn't work for me. I like garlic in my nail polish, as well. The garlic makes them feel stronger. I also like French Manicures, because my tips are protected ❤. Good advice, as well.🎉
I use dip nails. Right now, my nails are short but they have some growth. My nails don't have dip on them now because I'm using Nail-Aid's Sapphire Strengthener Mega Growth polish to help them grow. The glass files I use are from a 12 pack on amazon, I received as a Christmas gift last year. The nail file, I'm currently still using is similar looking to yours (broken) but it still works.
Hey, I was wondering if soon would would be able to make another video about lucid dreams because i watch one you made around a year ago and i really enjoyed and would like to here more about dream experiences and stuff ❤
I do think genetics play a big role here, me and my sister for example have VERY different nails and hair. My hair is very fine and shiny, kinda see through. My nails are extremely thin and completely see through when they get water on them. My sister has curly hair and her nails are very thick. She stopped biting her nails and using a nail care routine now, I follow the same routine but do not get the same results as her, my nails are still just as thin and bendy, and see through. She said she noticed a big difference when using OPI Nail Envy, so I have been using that consistently but I dont notice much difference. Her nails are completely white (the ends) and sturdy, they do not bend. We have also very similar diet, we live together. My hair is also not opaque, its see through and it annoys me cause that makes my real hair look like a wig. I think it plays a big part in why my nails is like this, and meanwhile it makes my hair looks good at times, its a con for my nails. Cant have both I guess.
Definitely need a video on how to get to level 3 nails!! I do all the things in this video; nail care once a week, crystal nail file, nail oiling, good diet all the things, but really struggle getting it past the level 2 length. Like I struggle to do things with nails longer than level 2 like typing, using my phone, cooking washing my hair etc and I don't know how to adapt to have them. I always end up getting too frustrated that I can't do things and file them down a bit more!! The thing is I do really like the look of level 3 nails and would love more nail space as I do nail art but just get so frustrated by the length so looking forward to hearing about what habits you changed!! Also I really struggle with staining despite using a base coat and my nails went really yellow recently as I used a dark polish, do you have any good recommendations for a good long lasting base coat that protects against staining? What do you use? I have tried a Barry M one, holo taco smoothing base and another one but I can't remember what the brand was.
I check youtube every day to see if you've maybe uploaded a video 😂 it's insane. I get so excited when I see you have! Also, you look really beautiful here ❤😊
Hi Isabella, thank you for sharing your tips, I have been following you for a long time, I remember your shellac nails😊. That being said, I have destroyed my nails....I had gel nails for 3.5 years without a break and decided to give them a break...horror...very thin, like a piece of paper. After a month, I took the very very poor decisions to put pres on nails...I have anihilated about 3 nails, as in half of them melted or brock from the nail bed in the middle of the nail. I could not identify where my nail starts and where my flesh ends. 😢 That glue was something else. My nails also grow exceptionaly slow...so...yea. I aspire for your level 1 nails 😂❤.
When i was a child up until early 20s I used ro grow my nails. They just got in the way I keep them maximum to a level 1. When I was a child we were told to eat jelly for healthy hair and my hair and nails were extremely healthy. I've started to take a multivitamin and I have noticed my nails are growing back faster and I cut about every 10 days. For those wanting to grow their nails and hair definitely a multivitamin, eggs, jelly and collagen. Not all in one sitting 😂
@@LivingInTheShade Hiii do you have a nail ig or something ? I'd be curious to see the nails you do 😁 Also Idk if that will work for you but when I do my nails I do holo taco long lasting base+2 coats of smoothing base, and it helped with the staining. Also I use pure acetone, it just prevents staining better than the more gentle nail polish removers out there. They still do get stained when I wear orange or red or yellow, when they do I either wear a light color or blue and the staining is usually gone by the next time I redo them, but sometime I scrub them with a brush and some purple shampoo, and then I get some acetone and go ham. Also I keep my nails rather short so maybe the staining doesn't get THAT bad 😅 Hope I could help 😁
@@lucasvancanneyt6213Hi there. Sorry, I don't have an ig account. I just keep my nails very short as I type and cook a lot and also do hair. I did grow them out to about an 1/8 of an inch they looked pretty but I just had to cut them as they were starting to get in my way again 😂
Oh, maybe your friend recommended jello/gelatin b/c of the the collagen aspect? Like gelatin is made up of animal (bones) I believe? So, it makes sense that gelatin could help with nail growth?
I can grow my nails, but when I do with polish, my nails survive but any knocks injure my nail bed by peeling the nail apart from it slightly or little marks of blood under the nail, so I think it’s not for me somehow
