THX for the video, it's very informative. I managed to fix my ice maker. It had water over the limit somehow, made a large chunk of ice, which stopped the automatic dispenser to function properly.
There is typically an inlet valve assembly in the back lower access panel, with two electric valves (feeds water, and ice maker). If the one for the ice maker seeps when off, it can overflow the ice maker mold and/or freeze the full tube. Could be some debris cleared it’s self, but if it reoccurs…new inlet valve.
Thanks for video. It helped to find the problem. It was making ice in the rear of the ice maker. Everyday, I was getting ice columns for my drinks.. lol the little white container that guides the liquid water had built ice overtime and it was sending more water to the rear than to actual ice holder
Any idea what the position is for the slider thingy at 4:24? Slid directly under it closed or slid to the right/open?
Slide directly under the icecube tray, not to the back.
We've had nothing but trouble with our ice maker. Inlet valve was leaking which froze up the fan. Had to defrost several times.

What temperature do u have ur freezer at? I foolowed the steps ur showed on this video, everything is working but now the ice tray will fill up but not dump ice. I have frozen ice cubes in the tray. U have a solution?
i moved out.. i had it at 0F and it was probably leaking in air because there was a lot of frost on the foods
-15 is warmer than -30, so the temp is going UP, not down.
Great vid, gotta take mine out this weekend. Same problem as yours. But here a question for you and or any one in the comment section. I can not get my water filter out, no matter what I try it is legit stuck! I've read direction, tried everything. Any tips? Anyone know any vids that can help me out?
i posted a few videos on my channel about this... look at them and look at what is holding it in place.. it might be stuck from being too cold or frozen... there is really nothing that should stop it from coming out

Whole thing is just screwed up so get to work..lol..yep..eventually it goes down...to..."0"..yep my dispenser did the same after new filtef replacement...I ran it for 4 minutes..lots of air...came back later and repeat til it ran clear and no air

rather than nit pic it you can replace the whole tray for around 50$ if 1 part failed want be longtill another ones gone you have to start all over again go for it

I appreciate your video, " is real world confusion" lol, The fact to try and fix the thing yourself, is admirable. Here in Central Florida it's hard to find a honest repair man to come to your home and repair the ice maker. Most of them want anything from 2 to 4 dollars per minute to repair the unit. lol these sons of Bitches are definitely high way robbers. For a person , it's actually safer and better to just go ahead and do the work yourself (even though you don't have any idea of what the hell your doing). Good luck.
