Stretching needs to be done after you warm up, ideally as a part of your cool down. Maybe try not to start with stretching you might injure yourself.If you are serious about mountaineering training I would recommend the book "Training for the new alpinism", it will help you do targeted training instead of doing random strength and endurance exercises.
For me, a great exercise for the mountains is the stairmaster machine... Week by week increasing the speed and distance, without holding on !

But be assured, i know what I'm doing. It's not random
Just walk and clim steps ..I think that's enough ..your thigh and lungs should be fine..you will probably be successful
