Props to the sherpas for making this even possible. Sherpas do all the work. They carry the food, camp supplies, and oxygen tanks.
It’s disrespectful when they’re not mentioned imho. They risk their lives to lay ropes and oxygen tanks ahead of time so that tourists can make the summit. It’s disingenuous for many to believe they conquered Everest vs were helped up by professionals who risked their lives.
@@yodasbuddy yeah this is really shitty. Sherpas have been mountaineering for more years than the tourists have, I don't understand why they're never given the credit they deserve
They get paid shit too. Meanwhile the Nepal government rakes in hella permit money like a bunch of greedy crooks.
And set up the ropes and ladders. Yes, they do all the work.
The 3billion dollar$ that the Nepalese government receives and the 15 plus Million$ that the expedition businesses receive doesn't account for the $4000 that the Sherpa guides receive for their work. They are professional athletes to lead each tourist climber and Doctors/paramedics when tourists fail to summit. And how much has GoPro made off of their sponsor climber. Sherpas are the Himalayan Ambassadors - pay them as such! And more than the $5000 as a Supplementary Death Benefit should they die
This guy made the Everest climb look like a cake walk!
Cause the hardest work is always done by the Sherpas nowadays.
@@fibonacci3844 not nowadays but always, ever since the first-ever summit of Everest by Hillary was accompanied by Tenjin Norgay. Only 5 people have attempted climbing solo, 3 of them succeeded and 2 of them died.
All the ropes and gear are already set and ready for him by Sherpas. I like how they don't get any credit.
cake with coffe!
@@Meltedbutta7 exactly those ropes are there cause of the sherpas. Respect to them ❤️
These wide angle shots makes it look like anyone can walk up Everest.
I'm not pointing it out but you can clearly see the dead bodies of climbers that didn't make it
Nowadays it's not an exceptional feat anymore. A bit like a while ago the five minute mile was considered inhuman, now most people in good shape can do a five minute mile. If you have money, good sherpas and are lucky with the weather (like this guy apparently) you can do it too. Nowadays people with nearly zero experience of mountaineering summit Everest every year now.
@@f900ex5 Clearly? I watched it again, I certainly can't clearly see any? Possibly one at a distance, hard to tell. Care to point them out? Whilst there are many there I know, I'm pretty sure a half decent editor will have removed those slices.
@@notundermywatch3163 Its true. The hardest part of Everest now is waiting in line for your turn to summit. People die waiting up there for their turn.
Anyone with a spare 100k can be dragged up Everest by Sherpas. It hasn't been impressive for a long time.
I've gotta say, I have seen the view from the top of Everest and it was absolutely worth every second.... searching through Google images.
u had me in the first half and i was gonna ask if you saw any dead bodies
Just disappeared a guy there from Hungary...Google Suhajda Szilárd.
He attempted to clime up with out any help or oxygen tank😢
Did u see any curvature at the summit?
Yeah Same with K2
@@kazzykaioken8873the earth is flat..there is no curvature at any height. We been lied to just like we been lied to about almost everything.
How come you guys have not yet mentioned Nims Purja from the incredible Netflix documentary "14 Peaks" ? You sponsored him in this impossible and world shattering record and he filmed all his best shots with your products! It would be awesome to feature him on the channel, I feel he deserves it. What he did is amazing borderline superhuman.
Agreed!
Netflix probably owns all that footage. Though I do think he deserves a mention
BEYONCE HAD ONE OF THE BEST MUSIC VIDEOS OF ALL TIME
Cause he cocky af haha, legit was making up facts in interviews, I don't understand why he has to lie after doing such an insane achievement
@@seancopland4066 he stopped his own attempts to save others and he insisted on summiting K2 with his whole team. He’s an icon.
What have you ever done?
Summiting Everest in 6 minutes and 55 seconds must be a new record!
are you serious? they obviously cut the footage on a desktop computer to that length..
@@tallesttreeintheforest Humor really isn't your biggest strength.
@@Stormertheboy This had me rolling. LMAO
Like cool guy said it's clearly heavily edited and not real-time. I'm not a climber but id guess that even for an experienced team it's likely that it would have probably taken at least 3 or 4 times longer than the video length shown here, possibly even more, when the conditions are good like this. In a blizzard or white out, it might take even longer I'm sure.
@@justsayin644 thank you for support
At 5:33 you can see lightning in the top right corner. Magnificent
😮😮😮
just goes to show how high thy are
Basically its below in the clouds
Totally missed that! Thank you. So cool right?!
Since late 1961, at age 12, when "The Conquest of Everest" book - recounting the successful 1953 British expedition - fell into my hands, I've been a most dedicated Everest buff. Two years later, in 1963, the October issue of the National Geographic Magazine, carrying the story of the momentous American expedition, spurred my imagination even further.
From that time onward, I've always wondered how must the Everest summit look like. So I avidly read or watched whatever Everest story, publication or video I managed to find. I even spoke personally with a couple of successful Everest summitters. However, nothing seemed to whet my appetite for a real-life summit image. Until now.
Patience and resilience eventually bear fruit... Today, 61 years later, my wish has been thoroughly fulfilled. These astounding summit images just happened to be the second best to actually being there in person.
My deepest gratitude to you for having made my dream come true.
That BEAUTIFUL sun halo at 4:44 took my breath away! Easily the most incredible video I've seen, the wide angle shots give a crazy sense of scale, when measured against the people. Wild optical illusions too, like at 2:54.
Whoop! Thanks for making my Everest Summit the #GoProAwards! Psyched you enjoyed the footage 🙏
Thank YOU, Jon! What an accomplishment 👏
Incredible climb sir! Wish I could go there one day!
HAD COLD CHILLS WATCHING THIS!!!!!!!! THANKU FOR WONDERFULL FILMING!!!!
@@stephen_boss Its your mindset. You should say "Im looking forward to climbing mt Everest one day". You set your own limits
Congrats on your summit man! Gotta aim for the highest mountain in the solar system now lol
Thankyou for sharing us this great POV climbing this highest mountain on earth. EVEN I'm in front of my computer I can feel the enviroment out there
*highest mountain measured starting at the ocean. not the highest mountain.
That sun ☀️ halo at 4:39 is amazing!
What amazing footage and breathtaking scenery!! I could even feel the cold air and wind!!
Breathtaking scenery ,, too bad we didn't have an opportunity to see the real side of Everest. Garbage by the ton, hundred of abandoned tents and oxygen cylinders strewn across the landscape. An estimated 8,000 kilograms of human waste ( can you imagine ?? ) ,,, and for good measure let's throw in around two hundred dead bodies.
It's a great feeling when you're on top of the highest point on earth
Yeah, it`s higly recommended.

Knowing the way technology is going, 10 years from now they will offer guided tours to the top of Mt Everest with gift shops along the way.
It will be like a normal gift shop, but with a 15% chance of dying along the way.
They kinda already do. It's not 10 years away, it's only a few years away from being like that.
do you understand they do it right now, right? (except the shops ofc)
@@SuperCatacata lmao 15% where did you get that statics bruh nowadays fatality rate is very low.

Yup, this guy and the other 100 people who paid to get escorted up an established route. So funny anyone would brag about Everest after seeing the truth about that situation.
At least you're not running the risk of freezing to death
Amazing views GoPro. Thank you for your work guys!!
This is one of my favourite videos on GoPro. Thank you for uploading this.
This is a new Task :
Sunrise at Everest !!
Another Level of Awesomeness 💯😎🔥
This video on Everest mountain was absolutely amazing, I really like your videos and I'm from Brazil
To think that people died attempting to climb this mountain and this guy made it look like a walk in the park is just amazing. The views are astounding as well. Thanks gopro for making this possible!

Amazing video!! And the shots at the summit are amazing!!
I caught myself taking deep breaths watching and listening to the guys!
This is truly amazing
Thanks for the awesome video. Makes one want to visit Mt. Everest right away! Wish it was that easy. Also, looking forward to the must awaited upgrade to the GoPro Max.
Don't visit it, and don't encourage people who want to. The entire mountain should be closed to these clown shoes tourists who do nothing but leave garbage there and take goofy videos and tell themselves it's OK because they're "creating employment for the sherpas." Climbing Everest has been reduced to a rich dentist's activity
Absolutely stunning!

Those bright lightening behind absolutely magnificent view
Shot of sun through the clouds at 4:38 was awesome. Looked like you were on another planet.
When did you summit? The weather looks perfect and there were no crowds. Looks like you had the place to yourself! Great job and awesome video
Well…I can see a little bit of crowd. Surely not the horrible lines that we saw in 2019, but definitely there is a “little crowd” also in this video.
Спасибо ребятам, прошедшим это испытание и разработчикам камеры, теперь каждый может побывать на вершине мира!!! Спасибо, вы лучшие!!!

-Climb Mt.Everest-
Well there ya go, one more item on my bucket list crossed off. Thanks bro!
Be nice of you to mention the Sherpa team by name that got you up there safe. Congratulations to you all and the incredible Sherpa team.
I want to thank you for being one of the few comments about sherpa that doesn't crap on the climbers in the same sentence.
Too many people ignorant on the situation up there place blame on the climbers for endangering the lives of the sherpa.. Even though these climbers have to receive government approved permits to climb in the first place. The Nepalese government could easily turn down more of the less experienced climbers, but they value money more.
Yip….
I couldn’t do Everest.
I got impatient watching the lines…in a video….how pathetic! 😂
Well done my dude! 👍
Whenever someone summits Everest they do it on the shoulders of the Sherpa people, so my respect belongs to them, and also those who go it unassisted
Right! Like Jerzy Kukuczka Polish Alpinist who died on Lhotse, and before he summited the crown of the earth so all highest mountains of our planet🌍 🌎 without oxygen. I'm proud I'm originally from Poland and my whole family too 💪
@@CzarnaWroc exactly
That minimizes what it takes to climb Everest. Yes, they do use Sherpas, and, without Sherpas, they most likely would not be able to summit. However, it still takes an extraordinary amount of endurance, physical acumen, and determination to climb Everest. If someone climbed Everest, it means they went through hellish to do such. That deserves respect.
@@avivstabinsky2600 yes it does minimize “climbing Everest” because they’re carried up. Either you can scale your way to the peak or you can’t, and they can’t. The Sherpa can, and with the additional burden of taking others up. It’s simple as that
@@MarioXcore1 have you ever been above 5.000m? It's not like a walk in the park, even with the help they get
The views are amazing and yes priceless. I can check that off my bucket list because of your great work lol 😆😅🤣.

Here is the 40min version, he also has one of K2.
It looks exhausting though, props to these dude's doing what otherwise looks scary!
You mean props to the chirpas who carry all the ladders, make the paths and care for the safety of rich white people who want to look good on camera?
Thank you GoPro; you've made the epoch common, bringing into our livingrooms!
Interesting, you made that look like a walk through the park, what an epic shot at the end. Well done.
Just recently a Bengali lady(Piyali Basak) from near Kolkata (India 🇮🇳) completed her Everest journey without any Oxygen supply.
Really a proud moment as an Indian🎊💫
Congratulation for her! Without O2 is the real challenge.
Funny how no one mentions a woman who did it…
How you summitted on such a beautiful day and there were no tourist or sightseers escapes my imagination.
Absolutely amazing video! Every frame could be a screenshot!
I still couldn’t believe that scene was taken on planet Earth! It’s exquisite!

Wow, that's stunning. Well done. The ice fall looks terrifying
Perhaps the best video ever made of climbing Everest. The viewer almost walks with you! Well done!
That just left me speechless. Especially once he reached the summit. What an accomplishment
It's not an accomplishment to have lots of money and summit everest. People with almost no climbing experience climb everest everyday. It's just very expensive to pay to summit everest.
@@evolicious This guy knows what's up.
These days, summitting Everest is almost exclusively done by wealthy betas with small-man syndrome.
@@evolicious People do not climb Everest everyday lmao. There is a strict climbing season and the summit windows are very small. It isn't nearly as hard as it used to be, but climbing Everest isn't easy either, people die every year.
The roundness of the earth can also be seen from that top. really amazing

I literally watch this video every time to prepare myself to summit Mt Everest. I sure I'll do it.
Hats off to you guys ! I believe that you possess energy to the highest for as long as the trek completes. But I wanna know how your gopros preserve the same :) :) Need to imagine how many batteries and power banks are needed for the same !!!

Love to hear that!
Much respect, me personally, no amount of money can convince me to go up MT Everest
And the irony is that they don't give you money for climbing Everest, instead it costs you money. Anywhere from 30k-100k, personally I'd rather not die and have the money for a new car or a down payment on a house. These people are nuts
this is the best ever video ive seen of climbing the everest

Interesting fact : Mount Everest is the highest peak according to sea level ,the actual real highest point on earth is at the top of Mount Chimborazo ( Ecuador ) because that point is farthest away from the center of the earth, du to the planet being slightly bulged around the equator Mount Chimborazo sticks further out into the sky than Mount Everest does.
Thats a gr8 fact. Thanks for sharing mate!!
