    A small tip for those who are learning portuguese... putting an extra "não = no/not" at the end of negative short sentences is VERY common in portuguese (at least here in Brazil, I don't know about other countries that speak portuguese), like that woman said at 2:33 "Não pretendo sair, não" (I don't intend to go out, *no* ).
    For example, if you want to say "I don't know", you can simply say: "Eu NÃO sei" or "Eu NÃO sei, NÃO". You'll also hear that very often, so this is just a tip for you to get prepared, because I think that maybe this would be tricky for some of you guys, but it's actually very simple, it is just a very common "expression", and all you need to do is to add an extra "não" at the end of a short negative sentence, in case you want to (you'll also sound more native). Other examples:
    We don't want it. = Nós *não* queremos, *não*
    I did not go. = Eu *não* fui, *não*
    He didn't see her. = Ele *não* viu ela, *não*
    They weren't there. = Eles *não* estavam lá *não*

      I am brazilian
      Other tip:
      If you want to say "I ate nothing" you must say in portuguese "I didn't ate nothing": Eu não comi nada. Yeh, you deny denial to have a negative sentence. Its not logic but it is the usual way.

      Pascal M O outro sentido poderia ser o de "dar um 'sinto muito' ", no sentido de que não vai dar nada para a pessoa. "Sinto muito" pode significar "desculpa" ou "perdão".

    The videos are great! But I do have a tip for those who are learning Brazilian Portuguese: Non-native speakers very often make the mistake of failing to use the 'subjuntivo':
    "espero [...] que vocês aproveitAm o feriado" would sound more natural as "espero que vocês aproveitEm o feriado" ('I hope you enjoy the holidays')
    The same frequently happens with 'particípio passado'
    "espero que vocês gostaRAM" would be more accurate as "espero que vocês TENHAM gostADO" ('I hope you liked it')

    • @tabestorm5339
      @tabestorm5339 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@palmbeach4825 I've learned spanish and I think about 90% of the times that you use it, is when you're saying 'I hope that...' or 'I'm happy that' or another feeling.
      There are more cases, but this situation happens pretty often. And I don't think it's hard to remember how to form the subjunctive: It's like the 'opposite' of the normal conjugation: a becomes e and e becomes a. Am becomes em and em becomes am.

    as pessoas quando estão na frente das câmeras , o brasileiros em geral ficam bem tímidos e tudo desaparece da mente. Mas no Brasil geralmente tem bastante festas, bebidas como cerveja, vinho cachaça,mas também tem a chamada ceia que só podem ser comidas após a meia noite. O problema que brasileiro gosta muito de bagunçar e as vezes não se importam com família reunida essas coisas. Comida tipica arroz, feijão, cuscuz, maionese, churrasco, lasanha vinho, peru, rabanada,nozes, leitao assado, e mais. Muito bom o video , parabéns ja me inscrevi.

    Kristina Bodrožić-Brnić, uma dica que tenho pra te dar é que o "a" tônico quando vêm antes de m, n como em "vamos" e "ano" é fechado, igual a quando você fala "ganhar". Observe os brasileiros nesse vídeo.

    • @luizdl
      @luizdl 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Kristina Bodrožić-Brnić infelizmente não tenho, pois minha área é outra, me graduei em ciência da computação, eu também tenho um pouco de interesse em fonética e fonologia como hobby, mas nada que seja acadêmico.
      Eu achei legal esse trabalho de vocês da Easy Languages de auxiliar o aprendizado de diversos idiomas incluindo o português, parabéns. Daí eu achei que poderia te dar uma dica para te ajudar a melhorar mais ainda sua pronúncia, pois o nosso "a" tônico antes de consoante nasal, bem como o "a" nasal em si são fechados, enquanto que em outras posições o "a" é aberto.
      Na linguística esse fenômeno é chamado de distribuição complementar, quando um fonema tem valor fonético diferente de acordo com o ambiente fonético, e essa distribuição complementar só é quebrada em palavras estrangeiras, como por exemplo, em "blush", aquela maquiagem que passa na bochecha, no Brasil as pessoas pronunciam a vogal de "blush" com "a" fechado como em "lama", assim nesse caso quebra-se a distribuição complementar do "a".

      +Dade P Santa Claus was trying to have a baby with his wife ( in brazil we call them " Papai Noel" and "Mamãe Noel" - father and mother noel - ) . Since we call him "Father Noel" in Brazil, it's implicit that we are their children, and when Santa says : "These kids only call me dad because they like me" (they are not really his family) - You should see that as a way to convince Mamãe Noel to have Real babys with him. - And she replies : "I doesn't matter, you are not convincing me Noel"
