During Covid, Porsche prices remained very high due to brand new cars being in short supply, so a lot of customers were turning to the used market, and when something is in high demand, the price usually goes up.
So in this video ill show you 5 Porsche you can buy for cheap (or at least cheaper than you previously could)

USA prices on Porsches seem consistently a bit higher than in the UK, all models. Just seems to be how it is here, unfortunately.

in Germany the cheapest are 986's, followed by 987's, then 996's, 997 and and and and... 987 are between 25-40K, 996 are 30K-50K, 997 40-60K

What do you know! I JUST bought a moderately high milage 2013 (991.1) Carrera base! USA market is a bit higher than the UK prices, I've noticed, exchange rate included. Unfortunate, but I think that's just how it is here.

Hello, really enjoy your videos. It helped me find my Porsche. What do you think the 997.1 turbo 6 speed gearbox is doing?I think I've seen a slight drop in the market.

I disagree on your assessment for 991.1 the dropped after covid in the last year I've seen them go down a good 991.1 Carrera S manual is 55k hands down and low volume up for sale

I mean there are good 991.1’s for sale a good 10k cheaper than that. Higher mileage yes but full OPC service history.

Completely agree. Particularly the GT4 which I stalk every day😂. I’ve noticed what was £75k are now £65k. There are also alt for sale at the moment so maybe that’s part of it. A great buy now.

How about 991.1 targa series? They are pretty rare as only produced in 2014 and 2015 being the only modern open top NA targa. Should hold value well?

So after 5 years with my immaculate low mileage cayenne 957, after looking at Aston vantage V8 (to old) ...... Mustang Gt (ruled out) ...... Im now looking at cayman 981s but am worried about bore scoring, is that a thing with either the 2.7 or the S in the 981 🤔

    • @alsatch_
      @alsatch_  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

Borescoring in the 981 is pretty much none existent. So you don’t need to worry about that. I’ve got a video coming out very soon on the things to look for when buying a 981.

I'm thinking of a 997.1 at the moment and prices have really gone up over the last couple of years. There are some really nice looking ones around at the moment at the 25k to 30k mark but they don't seem to be selling ? It looks like they may have peaked and the thought of paying 25k then it develops bore scoring may be putting people off but I think they have peaked now as the market doesn't seem to be moving. I'll wait and see how the market goes but I have to say the 981 Cayman would be tempting if it dropped down a bit. I think looks wise it edges the 911 but just my opinion.

No offense but the last couple years are a horrible way to evaluate any vehicles future values.
A base Tacoma from 2005 with a 200k miles was selling for over 10k.
Point is, the same prices of the Tacoma in particular is down over 20% in months.
Vehicles are stacking up at dealers now, this inevitably drops used prices shorty down the road.
A lot of dealers have yet to truly discount prices (they’re still holding out for max profit) most dealers now have lost market adjustment prices (in all but the vehicles that always had a mark up even before Covid).
Take Ford for instance, they banked on selling way more high dollar f150’s rather than fulfilling the maverick market which keeps those prices higher.
Manufacturers and dealers have been controlling prices through these practices since claiming shortages of parts.
They can sell an entire lot of mavericks but an average price of 70k for an F150 is absurd.
Point is, I think throughout 2024 the prices will drop on all vehicles including stuff the prices never fell on yet.

@@thedetailsaredark1607yes I would agree. Last couple of years have really thrown prices all over the place. It would be nice to see things get back on a steady path.
