Loved the video. I have a 2011 Platinum Sequoia. Love long distance travel in it. It has been on many cross continent road trips, Great vehicle for driving through snows storms. I tow a 3,500 LB travel trailer through central Texas Hill country terrain with it. The airbag auto leveling is a great advantage when towing, I have towed a travel trailer 10 miles through sand down the beach at Padre Island National Seashore, no problem, (Aired down tires). Planning to keep it until I hit 250, to 300,000 miles. For off road adventures, I run my Rubicon. While I love what you guys did, the cost to do all of it is probably half of what my vehicle is worth...
Howd it do on PINS? You don't start getting into the good stuff until you hit the high banks 😅. I usually take my rusted t4r down there with shark rack, wasnt sure how the seq. would work
These are my favorite kinds of videos. Walk around of the before, the process of building the rig and the hurdles that come with it, and finally a walk around of the after! Good job guys! Need some maintenance done on the GX so I'll see y'all soon!
Yes, I love that the big tree family is getting bigger and bigger! No sliders though! :( And you did the body mount chop but where are those 37s!? Beautiful work!
My life goal is to bring my 5th gen 4runner with the 2UZ-FE to you guys and get the works done. I'm in Saskatchewan Canada so a road trip like that would be fantastic. Lots of saving to do before I can think about planning that.
Found this channel recently you guys do an outstanding job! Make entertaining videos as well. I’m about to buy a full sized SUV and you guys are convincing me to go with a sequoia and have you all build it out.. in four days. Edit: would it be possible to get an estimate for this build+through rear bumper mount for spare tire and storage? Truly well done guys your hard work prioritizing the customer was fun to watch. It’s obvious you guys love what you do. 👍✌️
So are y'all seeing rust issues with the gen 2 Sequoias. This frame looks like it has some rust, and I've heard/seen other Sequoias with rust as well. The problem is I can't figure out if these are localized occurrences or a more general problem. Also when you're building out one of these are you running into issues with alignment and alignment tab build quality?
Im a relatively recent Sequoia owner and this is the my first Tandem Offroad video. Not only do I have the same color Sequoia 2nd gen but I am also from Polk County Iowa. Of all the Sequoias in the country, this is the one that gets a video lol. When you guys were prepping the new front bumper, I noticed a module? or something that was installed in front of the radiator, looked like it was attached to an aluminum bracket with some honeycombs, What is that?
@chrisnowak2776 That's the top module/controller for the Badlands winch. With the LED strip taking up a little space just above the winch spool, room is a little tight there. It simple unbolts from the lower part of the winch and mounts on the aluminum bracket.
I like everything except you sepnt all the time showing us how u built it and then very little video on how its actually looks..not enough time to soak it in
Thank you for being REAL! Some TH-cam channels don’t show the Exhaustion, errors and correction and frustration and cussing ..
I think it’s great that you’re showing installations don’t always go perfectly. Good work Tandem!
Is that Rivers Cuomo with the stache?
I love the videography style! Intentional bloopers and realism. Not to mention the absolute pro level work. Very entertaining!

Do you use the stock gas tank?
I mean hey you can buy a Yukon AT4 for the incredibly low price of 80k before taxes and dealer mark ups.
Awesome to hear that you love your tank.

Curious about the ballpark total cost for this build? Parts and labor? Awesome stuff

Thanks for the 2nd gen builds and the advancements made for offroading with them
Hell yes! Finally we get more big tree content! Our Sequoia is looking good thanks to our sliders and airbag kit.
I’m so close to sending my sequoia to you guys, just trying to find the best price to transport it since I’m up north
@Lael Grant You work at tandem?
Hey Tandem, if one were to come and drop off their sequoia, how much would this build cost and what would the turn around time be? Just curious!
I got a sequoia and love watching these videos. Please keep them going!
My Elka 2.5 rears just arrived for my Sequoia, doing the install this weekend.
Yes, I love that the big tree family is getting bigger and bigger! No sliders though! :( And you did the body mount chop but where are those 37s!? Beautiful work!
Great video, I really enjoyed watching it. Your vids really make me want to get a 2G Sequoia!
Thanks for taking the time to make this, great to see!
Love seeing the build! Nice job!
Great job! Looks amazing
How well does that IRS articulate offroading? I wonder if you guys should have just dropped a solid rear axle in it?
As a Texas native that lives in Atlanta, you are making me miss whataburger. 😂
There’s a whataburger in Kennesaw now
Legendary cookie duster
🔥🔥🔥 Nice job Tandem!
3:14 that laugh😂
i am curious to the cost of this build. i might want to bring mine to get it done.
Fantastic work!
Hey, Thing looks amazing! Are those 35's on 17's?

I'n in Ontario and working on getting a 2nd gen Sequoia, let's road trip down together lol
@@QuentinQuark that would be one hell of a detour to swing through Saskatchewan depending on where you are. Meet in Winnipeg? haha
You did a great job!

I really need to get a 2nd gen sequoia
So fun, to watch.
Fun, fun, fun. 😊
How much was the entire build with labor?
What are the tire sizes and the lift in inches?
Looking for an extended range fuel tank for a 2nd gen sequoia, any suggestions?
what is the exact wheel on this truck? also what size BFG’s are those? 35’s?
But why come no sliders?!?
very much feeling this

Where are you located , and whats the average cost for such a conversion. Thanks
6.3k subs with a 1mil+ vibe. Nice
That's a big differential.
Great Video’s I Love Toyota
Nice works. But for me its better to use portal axles. No need to change the stock gear, it's just the shocks.
Portal kits cost like $30k. They are awesome for ground clearance
Great work can you go fix that flag @ 28:08 thank you my patriots
Great job guys

The aerodynamic drag of that magnificent mustache mostly likely cost you a day
Can that diff be used to build an awd car ? It’s huge
What tires you have on the sequoia
Those are BF Goodrich KO2 35x12.5R15
need to contact you, can you give me your phone number?
Which recent sequoia isn't exclusively a hybrid with a turbo engine?
Version 2 that ended production in Model year 2021.
I have a 2022 that’s a gen2.
19:02 Thank you, now I have anti-seize all over my keyboard!
Anti-seize is the glitter of the auto world. Just a little gets everywhere.
Wouldja wanna ballpark the out- the-door price for that build ?
Just askin' 😉
i want one. thanks
What bumper is that?
i will like to see these guys build a 2008 expedition
Hi! We send a RGB panel and the 5D Pro back on October for some Tiktok videos. Kindly ask have you filmed thevideo yet?
I haven't filmed it yet but i have it scheduled for posting early March. Sorry for the delay
@@TandemAutomotive No problem I can wait for another month. Do you know what's the best way to be in touch right now?
@@Auxbeam feel free to email me at Pablo@tandemauto.com
@@TandemAutomotive OK!
That was awsome
Lets say i buy the car for 20k
Can u tell me roughly how much was the cost of parts and ur work totally?
I would blackout plasti-dip that chrome grille, it’s the only thing chrome - stands out way too much.
😍
The outcome is great but too much faces in the video... Put more emphasis on the procedure of installing those parts... Thanks anyway...
💪🏻💪🏻
Muy buen trabajo. El cromo de la parrilla no encaja no me gusta saludos desde Perú 🇵🇪

I heard Sam Elliott approves of this mustache.
F-A-NTASTIC!
Only 32 seconds in, no idea if you're gonna update it... But I think you meant can we build a Sequoia in 5 days.
Yeah just noticed that. Its fixed
👍👍👍👍👍
Cheap, quick, good. Pick two. I'm gonna guess this was not cheap....
Can you do it? Yes should you do it no?NO NO NO .......
So is it rare that a Toyota has the ability to be 2wd, AWD 4x4 and 4x4 low? Chevy and others have been doing that for yrs.
They all have terrible reliability to.
The winch slot in the bumper is pretty damn ugly.
Yes cause I could do it in 5 days
Sucks working when you just want to lie down and die...
