The Goodwood Revival

Right, let me tell you about the Goodwood Revival. It's a three-day festival that takes place every September at the Goodwood race circuit. This event is all about capturing the romance and glamour of motor racing as it used to be.
And let me tell you, this is the only historic race meeting where everyone is dressed in period attire. It's a return to the halcyon days of Goodwood, back when it was the spiritual home of British motor racing.
It's an unapologetic celebration of flat-out, wheel-to-wheel racing around the twists and turns of this classic circuit, which has remained unchanged since its golden age. The first Revival took place on September 18, 1998, and the Earl of March drove around the circuit in the Bristol 400, the same car his grandfather, the 9th Duke of Richmond, used to open the track 50 years before. Now, it's the most celebrated historic motor racing event in the world, with fans flocking from all over to soak up the unique atmosphere in period costumes.
And let me tell you, even if you're not a petrolhead or into classic cars, this is a fabulous event that's well worth the visit if you can get your hands on a ticket.
