Trojan Cars is a unique showroom based in Portsmouth specialising in affordable used cars. It is a friendly, family run business that provides you with knowledge and help in a no pressure, relaxed environment to find the right car for you. With over 100 vehicles in stock at any time there is usually something for everyone including Finance options. We also specialise in 50’s and 60’s British and American classic cars undertaking extensive restorations to restore these beautiful cars back to their former glory. Viewing of classic cars is by appointment only because they are kept in a separate location and could be having works carried out. If you already have a vehicle you may consider opting for a part exchange. A part exchange allows you to put the value of your old vehicle towards the cost of your new one and if you're thinking of purchasing your next vehicle on finance, a part exchange could cover your deposit and even reduce your monthly payments. At Trojan Cars we value our customers and staff very highly and we are back to work with a few differences to keep everybody safe. We can now sell you a car or motorcycle at either of our branches whilst still observing government regulations regarding social distancing and isolation. If you have any concerns or special requests regarding viewing / driving any of our cars please just ask a member of our staff. If you are in self isolation or are "shielding" we will deliver any car / classic car / motorcycle FREE OF CHARGE to any address within 25 miles of our garage address. Other delivery destinations and costings can be arranged. If you wish to talk about purchasing a car, classic car, motorcycle or indeed discuss service / warranty issues and you find our branches at Francis Avenue or Henley Road are closed - please call us - we look forward to talking to you.

I love these vintage cars and this looks very nice indeed. That said this said this is is the most unprepared demonstrator I have ever seen on you tube. Love that car.

Oh dear! I'm a massive fan of the P4 - had a 105 S but please find the choke! It was almost cruel to take that graceful Aunty out with the engine being thrashed like that. Looks like a nice example. Love to see another video of that with the choke sorted and showing the switch to over drive in top doing about 45 mph - it's a marvellous feeling in a good P4!

Nice old Rover. Fortunately these sturdy engines can take quite an amount of maltreatment. Please Sir familiarise yourself with the car you're featuring just a little before recording footage. A worried P4 90 owner ;)

There is no "automatic" choke. The "cold start" lever should be pushed home, for normal running. You should adjust the engine idle speed (under the bonnet).

He didn't notice the rear seat squab was back to front!!! He didn't know where the choke was. Come on, must try harder

Would you buy a car from this man... ? Arthur Daley all over again... the Rover was just another 'smoker' to get out of the shop... ha ha. I hope she went to a good home.

Why run it on choke for pitties sake! Find it and shut it off.

  • @michaeltreadwell777

Not the best advert - please get to 'know' the car you are trying to sell ! Lovely gracefull old ladies, the P4 range - best of the Rovers if you ask me.

Dear me, to admitt you have never driven one ,is honest enough ,but it is not a model for a novice driver. Your style of driving must have begun with ford escourt's ,but nice video, at least we did'nt here the cogs crunch!, If they had, the old army driving instructor's comment would have been " Sought them out Jack, they are all in the box" I do'nt think you could drive the earlier models 60. 75, or the pre Serris Landrover ,there is a little something you would not like about the first and 2nd gear changes! I often see enthusiasts with newly acquired models driving them as if they were a !ford fiesta. I think the price is about right though give or take £650. 👍

The car would have been worth more if he took those terrible seat covers off and put a bit of WD on the chock cable
