Storybook ending. I hope that's not the last time we see James. With much appreciation Kirby. I feel this series will have a lasting impact on your endeavors. Well done.
You should be proud of what you and your team has achieved here. Fantastic compelling viewing. Love it. TH-cam is a better place with you and your friends in it.
I think this was the best video ever on motor racing not just the cars but the way it was all put together and presented this man clearly has a great passion for these old cars and of course style🇬🇧👏
This was a well produced series. Kirby really stepped up the production here and the quality of interviews was phenomenal. I loved the passion everyone had for the entire throwback weekend and all that went in to lead up to it too.
Great video Kirby. Your interview with the Duke was the highlight. You had some excellent questions and you could tell he enjoyed his conversation with you. Quite impressive.
Thank you Kirby for your videos of this incredible and fantastic series. I always was curious to see the next video and I really regret it's finished yet.
Bravo James, fantastic result. Another phenomenal series Kirby, kudos to you and your team. Marek and the Duke are impressively articulate men. Let's hope the Duke's sons keep this event going for decades to come. How sexy was the DB5?
Passing around the outside of a fast corner takes a lot of guts and trust from the other driver that he isn't going to drift wide into you. That was a ballsy move by James.
46:05 - "Then of course there was my favorite part, which is the fashion of this era....." What? I mean, WHAT? The FASHION... the FASHION?! Turn your Man card in sir.... The FASHION?! Ok - I'm joking.... but... the cars... the cars... the race... Really enjoyed this series (could even forget it was a commercial). DK engineering is an amazing business. Thank you for making commercials that not only make your business revenue but are actually enjoyable to watch, and even educate. Nice work.
just nitpicking as an Englishman but at 13:34 you call it the 'Chinchester' cup. Of course it is the Chichester cup! I'm sure you know it's the town next to where Goodwood sits. But anyhow, I have loved these 5 episodes about the Revival so much, I wish you had made more videos! Next time I want to see you smoking a cigar with Jensen Button !! ....and how about telling us about your own car collection? All the best, love your channel Kirby!
The Duke of Richmond is not Lord March, that is a subsidiary title which he used prior to inheriting his dukedom. He should be referred to as His Grace the Duke of Richmond (note the 'the'). Sorry to be pedantic.
Great channel! This was such a good video. The footage is excellent. NOT meaning to discount the eye of the person holding the camera, anyone knows what cameras Kirby is using?
Kirby, there is a great gap in your broadcasting. In fact the formal pinnacle of menswear - morning dress. With its number of panels and tails a morning coat is one of the hardest things to tailor correctly. A series on this sartorial apex, with a backdrop of Royal Ascot, would put you a cut above other menswear channels, which remain at the penultimate frontier of the loungesuit.
Did I just see a 1967 Corvette Hardtop with a 427? Rumor has it some were putting out close to 600 hp after being tuned way back in the 60’s. I’ve heard so many different stats on this. But whatever they are , 1967 Vette is literally one of the best automobiles ever produced.
I had a model (Dinky) Ecurie Ecosse transporter with it's D type onboard when I was a kid. My mother gave it away when I left home. It was still in the box so it's probably worth a bit of money now.
I think you are right in that the UK does pomp and ceremony as well as, if not better than, anywhere else. However, that is such a narrow window on what might make a country a good place. The UK is perhaps the world leader in sycophancy; the reverence of (unearned, inherited or financially-gained) titles. Just because the great grandfather of a person was a war hero; or made money out of the slave trade; or donated a lot of money to a political party does not make, in itself, that great grandson anyone whose views we should listen to or who has a status above others. The UK has this top slice of privilege; of vast wealth; of pomposity but the 99% below that don’t have the desire or ability to buy bespoke suits; buy hugely expensive cars; go shooting in Scotland or whatever. I’m nearing the end of my life span and have always been centrist in my politics. My life experience has taught me that there is huge unfairness n our society and that the reverence of any strata - be it the privileged or the factory workers or whoever- is a huge problem. I have learned to have no trust and confidence in any politician of any persuasion; learned not to give respect to someone unless they have themselves earned it.
I was born in 1970 & the F1 cars & racing of that era was far more exciting than those of today which have become boring & predictable & clinical, i remember the start of the ground effect in F1 & it being banned along with the large engine turbo powered cars, i still have a Corgi JPS F1 model car from 1974.

Yes! I think the next video needs to be James teaching me how to drive that CLK GTR!
@@kirbyallison Make sure to wear brown pants for that one. 🤣

He really hit the nail on the head when talking about the level of detail 🎉. The Chin-Chester Cup sounds fun!

This is an amazing video. I really like all that you do. Just yesterday, you showed me how to fix a scuffed shoe.

On the planning board!
in an era where everyone says “hone in”, james knows that the phrase is “home in”. a true gentleman.
Match the Vibe Kirby ! Not always super formal. We expected a little mix and match and a little semi formal/ sporty from you.
Technically, we were supposed to remain in mourning out of respect for the death of HM The Queen, who had passed the weekend before.
@@kirbyallison that has a completely different rôle and barely touches the choice of clothes or shoe colour.

Could you share with us more information on that beautiful white Panama hat you were wearing? Who makes it and where can we purchase one?
Optimo Hats from Chicago!

As a currently inactive SCCA flagging and communications marshal, this was always the event that I wanted to work, besides Le Mans. Maybe one day.

Great video, but he's just Duke of Richmond, not "Lord March". Nice to see him wearing a black armband during the period of national morning.
Try pronouncing it "Jag you are" rather than Jagwar. 😉

Jag-WIRE, classic American pronunciation.
Oh no what a shame 🙄🙄
