Appreciate the comment! Thank you
Nice video, showing to people some info which isn’t obvious, great job man!
Thank you!
random R/W speeds are typical more important in loading than sequential r/w speeds in this usage scenario.
I agree. What's interesting though is there was no significant difference in load times between A1 class and A2 class cards. I would purchase the A2 card if not much more expensive.
good video, thanks
Thanks @MisterPikol !
My SD card was damaged due to overheating.
@eduardinao9935 yeah, i hear ya. i already destroyed 2 cards! Check this workaround I use: th-cam.com/video/6Vy4OW8O5WU/w-d-xo.html
That sucks
Yeah happened to mine 2 times. after Asus sent me back a working one for the 3rd time i decided to just use some auto aluminum and fiber glass shielding over the reader itself (its self adhesive and very low profile) 4 months in and no more sd cards or the reader being fried. th-cam.com/video/c9-c5M8reXI/w-d-xo.html
@@MrJbrown1014 do you think I should bother RMA'ing my unit? Sounds like no
Sandisk microSDXC Extreme Pro 1TB (A2/ V30/ U3/ R170/ W90 this is the memory card you want to use
Yes great card. At a sale price/GB similar to extreme plus would make that card a good deal.
Rog Ally has UHS-II reader so i gguess you can benefit from the full speed
@acsa6665 yes you are right, UHS-II provides better performance. But at the current price point of UHS-II, the extra $$ isn't worth it to me to only save several seconds of load time (dependent on the game). UHS-I cards give good enough performance and are really cheap. Note the Steam Deck only supports the UHS-I bus interface.
I bought 4 rog ally and sell them to tooooooooo manyy issues sd rgb bottons heat battery 😢 im useing steam deck oled now
Yikes. That's frustrating. Asus needs to work on quality control!
Asus is shit now@@rejjie_DIY
i meant ofcourse valve would do much better creating heat control, stable performance and safety measure. U must have realize it when u see their company named after device who controlling the flow of fluids, etc. They are all a proper engineer with health and safety environment qualified.
This comparison was unnecessary, you cant use an sd card on the ally, this is an issue they will resolve in the ally x
Yes, you can use SD cards. See this workaround: th-cam.com/video/6Vy4OW8O5WU/w-d-xo.html
SD card performance on the Ally is hot. Like my SD reader that the Ally burned 😢
@JoseSantos-vd4hg , are you referring to the SD reader in the Ally or an external SD reader?
@@rejjie_DIYSD reader I mean 🤡
@@JoseSantos-vd4hg yeah, that's rough. Use an external reader, works pretty darn well. See workaround here: th-cam.com/video/6Vy4OW8O5WU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=zPPG-EL98bEqbvQY
The Nintendo switch is by far a better choice than this hunk of garbage. Come on rej! 😘
Wow you people do exist 😂
Yeah I was thinking the exact same thing (as BlueCollaredGrit). Come on schrodes!
Maybe for 5yr old girls
Youre comparing a switch to a full blown handheld gaming pc rofl
You do realize I can play switch games and pc games on my steam deck, while you can barely play switch and pc games on the switch...
That should tell you all
