If army beats ND and Tulane they should not only get in, they should be the 3 seed. Undefeated with a win over a top 5 ND and a top 20 Tulane? Thats a way better resume than Miami, SMU, Colorado, Clemson, or BYU would have if they win out, not to mention obviously way better than Boise st. (I don't think it will happen and they'll probably lose both games, but if they somehow do it that would be crazy)
For the first time in my 55 years on this planet, I watched this channel on election night! Not main stream networks. Congratulations Depressed Ginger. You did amazing on the elections. Will be tuning in for more. And judging by the amount of views this channel is getting, I’m not alone in my opinion.
Much more will be upset, because more teams will be close and miss. Add in the fact the SEC and Big 10 get more teams in because they are so so much better than the other conferences and everyone will be upset
I don't think you can punish teams for a bad schedule this year. Only because the playoff is new and these schedules were made in advance of that. Like ND or Indiana can't control the playoff changing and them having already scheduled a weak out of conference schedule.
@@boybrushedred18yeah, Big XII should have added SMU, along with Boise State, Washington State and Oregon State. They would have been a bloated 20 teams, but it would have made a lot of sense. Then you divide the conference into four 5-team pods and the top 2 teams play in the championship game. It could have looked like this: POD #1: Wazzu (just outside of top-25) Oregon State BYU (#14) Utah Boise State (#12) POD 2: Arizona Arizona State (#21) Colorado (#16) Kansas Kansas State (just outside top-25) POD 3: SMU (#13) TCU Texas Tech Baylor Houston POD 4: Iowa State (#22) West Virginia UCF Cincinatti Oklahoma State Each team plays the other 4 teams in their pod, and all teams in one other pod for a total of 9 conference games. This mega-league would currently have 6 Top-25 teams, with two just outside, and a few other solid programs that are just hooping down years. It would be less powerful than the B1G, but markedly better than the ACC. Missed opportunity.
I like it, the B12 expansion and the pod idea. The pod idea is so great though, it'll help clear up the unfortunate cluster at the top of the conferences we see now. It'll help keep rivalries that are sadly dying, and it would make the B12 stronger and help promote big out of conference games.
I am very unimpressed with this calculator. Either it has poor programming or biases put into the predictor. Choose a team like BYU or Army or Boise St. Do everything necessary to get them in-using BYU for example will often eliminate Oregon as a Tournament competitor. Not a few times routinely, where the program repeats the same Big Ten competitors, never including Oregon. I suspect it just isn’t strong programming, but would love it if it is part of the bias to make it normalized to include a three-loss SEC team in a Championship Tournament-that’s a fun exercise too. See how often a three-loss Georgia makes it-quite a bit! More than one out of three, over half easily.

SEC has no excuse for complaining. By Week 8 they had no undefeated teams when all major conferences had multiple, each team has had poor games they have lost, some don’t have big wins, they stuffed the rankings with their mediocre to poor teams so that it would elevate the SOS, SOR (Vandy) and here it is Week 11 and instead of playing against its own Conference it’s playing Wofford and Massachussetts that four non-Conference games not three and it’s up against Wofford and Massachussetts-why?!) so as to maximize the whine factors when their two loss teams are supplanted by one-loss schools from the Nation. It’s a National Tournament, the SEC is expert at the rig, they don’t travel and when they do they don’t travel well, they mock and keep out the PAC-12 when it claims to have Conference Balance and instead of being able to find its best three teams at the end of 13 games it wants a National Tournament to be stuffed full of its also rans for repeats and games that should have been. Not interested in a first bracket and not even a second bracket SEC game that could have happened in Week 11 or 12-Wofford. It’s a National Tournament include teams from throughout the Nation, no hypotheticals (the SEC would best BYU, Army, ASU, Colorado-play them prove it), the SEC needs to do a better job of finding its elite teams in a Season it should not be rewarded if it cannot.
You mean like Alabama beating Wisconsin or Georgia beating clemson. They are playing the same amount of power 5’s as most big 10 schools against superior talent in conference. Colorado has the same amount of losses against MUCH worse competition with literally no good wins.
If they played 9 conference games like the B1G there would be a better chance of the top working itself out. But they want 8 games to try to lobby their teams for higher rankings/bowls.
I wish it was still 1 vs 2. It'll be the big ten champ vs the second champ. Those big games like Clemson vs Georgia in WEEK 1 is a playoff game! Your Georgia-Alabama, Alabama-LSU, OSU-PSU, Indiana-OSU would ALL be playoff games. Games like Kansas beating BYU become LEGENDARY and the hate between the school rises. We are losing rivalries for extra playoff games, WE ALREADY HAD.
PSU still has a shot at a B1G Champion, they need to win out, Indiana to lose to OSU (and should beat Purdue). OSU needs to win against Indiana, and lose to Michigan. Oregon should be at 9-0, PSU and Indiana will be 8-1. The tie-breaker between PSU and Indiana would be: by highest cumulative conference winning percentage of all conference opponents (ie Strength of schedule). As of right now PSU does own that tie-breaker PSU opponents have a record of (28-38), while Indiana's record is (23-42). Based on the remaining games, it would be almost impossible for Indiana to win the tie-breaker against PSU.
Like the presidental nominations you did for 2028, can you do a 2034 130 team college football playoff preview and give us your expectations and seeding?
