SEC taking in Texas and Oklahoma is gonna make the SEC that much tougher in every sport. Texas has been on the upswing last couple years, and OU will not be down long. The playoff mentality of basketball and playing 50 games is not comparable with football playing 13 games and having a3 losses along the way. Great job to Oklahoma,Florida and Auburn. Kansas is tough.
As with all sports and leagues, playoff teams are based on a season’s results. Arguably Kansas and Florida are the best teams at the end of the season, but can only play spoilers. It also shows how hard it is for any team to go undefeated. Forget the sport, forget the league, forget the conference. All these athletes are there to compete, even if the best outcome is ruining some one else’s season.
Exactly. Heck, even Clemson had a gimme game against The Citadel this weekend. Since when is it acceptable to play team's like this in the middle of November??? Ridiculous.
That Ohio State v Indiana game just proved the only reason Indiana is ranked 5 is a weak schedule. The second they face a top ranked strong opponent they fold like a blown over Souffle.
Gonna be so annoyed if they put a 3 loss Alabama in over a two loss big 12 team. Whatever 2 loss big 12 team doesn’t make the championship is gonna get SCREWED
So after going out of their way to discredit Texas at every turn. They've been sucking off Ole Miss and Alabama, despite both of those losing teams that Texas has already beaten. Then Bama goes out and loses to OU...yes, OU. Bama and Ole Miss had already shown you they could lose to terrible teams. These aren't upsets, this is who those teams are. So instead of asking "Who have the beaten?" I it should be who have the lost to.
I challenge your headline, sir. Alabama did not look shocked, they looked like they needed shocking. Like they sleep-walked into OK. Three-and-outs with 2 Milroe runs. Fifteen carries in the game for Milroe, with a net of 7 yards. Who kept calling Milroe's number? Milroe? If so, perhaps lockerroom problems, NIL problems? Entitled and now millionaire teens who are 'just doing me'? Yesterday's Bama was the team that played Vandy.
All this "its tough to win in the sec" is crap .. it's tough to win everywhere folks. The sec isn't some kind of super tough conference guys like years before, it's got a few tough teams and several mediocre decent teams like everywhere else. Stop the shilling, it's obvious
Alabama should drop below Ole Miss in the latest rankings. Ole Miss lost a tight one to a good Florida team. Alabama got waxed by the conference doormat. Both teams should be out of the playoffs - if Bama gets in you know it’s rigged.

The SEC may have just helped the ACC become a 2-bid league last night. Who would've considered that as even a remote possibility just last week? CFB is mad crazy this year!
Bama and Ole Miss are out. 3 losses? I dont care what conference you are from. If you dont have a conference title to go with that, then you dont belong in the playoff.
What propaganda? The SEC is the best team top to bottom by a trillion miles. Florida for example played Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, Ole Miss, LSU and a one loss Miami. No team in the country has 1 or 2 losses with that schedule. The Big 10 is horrible. So is the Big 12 and the ACC. Ohio state has a 1 or 2 game schedule. The best teams in the big 12 came to the SEC. Each conference should be responsible for figuring out what teams they will send to represent them to the playoff brackets….If that involves a conference championship game , well that is there decision…..The only thing ANY committee should be deciding is the final seeding ( in order to reward the best performing regular season teams)….the committee should have no power to decide who gets into the playoffs.
They won’t, especially in the new 12 team cfp they can cherry pick their schedule and all but guarantee a playoff spot every year. No way to predict who will come out of the playoff as the champ but if they spread out the SEC teams my money is on them advancing until they meet each other.
SEC taking in Texas and Oklahoma is gonna make the SEC that much tougher in every sport. Texas has been on the upswing last couple years, and OU will not be down long. Great job to Oklahoma,Florida and Auburn. Kansas is tough.
As with all sports and leagues, playoff teams are based on a season’s results. Arguably Kansas and Florida are the best teams at the end of the season, but can only play spoilers. Let's face it….there shouldn't be a committee deciding anything.
Notre dame should honestly go to a conference
They won’t, especially in the new 12 team cfp they can cherry pick their schedule and all but guarantee a playoff spot every year. This new structure benefits them more than any other team in college. The only negative is the fact that they will never be ranked above #5 so they’ll never get a bye in the playoffs.
