You make it sound like a easy thing to lift the front and still run straight. My suspicion is you have no experience in suspension geometry and nothing that cracks 11 sec ETA. Or if you do it's a front drive with the wheelie bar preloading the rear-end to give a bite to the drive tires

Now I love the big rim , mainly because it’s almost double the rotational mass to race against, it’s why small tire cars lose even if they have more power. For instance is also gearing, you can slightly overhear these 26’s because of the mass they have, also using damn near 73 percent of your throttle input. I learned this from my big slicks vs my small slicks and 6 rear ends I had to figure out my combo. Also big rims live power glides

I don't typically like the looks of some of the rims on some of these cars, but respect the hustle. It takes a lot effort to put down the power these dudes are putting on those short sidewall tires. Besides that, it doesn't matter if I or anyone else likes the look of the rims, it isn't our car, and it works for them, so why hate? Respect it for what it is, and stay in your lane. Also, I do like the ones in this video, just not some others I've seen.

Made a lot of good friends, used to street race pickups when Bobby Ducote was running Silverados then his Lightening that got him seen and thrown on Street Outlaws, I personally know Greg Brown who built Bobby's badass SMALL BLOCK Ford powered black Maverick. South Mississippi got a sick car scene come see us one Saturday night Laurel on 16th as well as Hobby Lobby in Hattiesburg beside Advance Auto. If u wanna show out we got places we go for that too don't wreck the scene and get the blue gang after us all. They don't put up at all... They'll come bust you in a split second.

Even though I'm not a Donk fan, you have to respect the learning curve these guys had to go through to make this type of suspension setup live behind this kind of power, and the persistence it took to pressure the rim manufacturers to make rims strong enough to handle those insane power levels. They have some of the best paint jobs on the streets, probably pissing off some low riders with that last observation, but oh well🤷♂️🤷♂️🤣🤣
I know they're getting a little harder to find but none of the boomers around here have any reason to ask why they "ruined" those cars with big rims. I have seen these things rotting in driveways, used at demolition derbies, used for dirt track banger class racing and everything else stupid. I have loved g bodies since we had one as a kid. What I find most impressive about those cars is the small tire profile. They seem to get a lot of traction, which is the name of the game.
