- I just gambled $37,000 sight unseen on a "vandalized" Manual 2018 Dodge Challenger Hellcat, at over $20,000 off retail pricing, there's gotta be a catch, right?

I have that exact car (rally stripes instead of hood and minus barton shifter and 1/3 the miles). So much fun. ALOT of fun to drive. I agree...don't strip it....but probably already gonna

Hey Lee, allow me to explain the damages to your car. The reason why that pink cord was disconnected from the Uconnect is because it’s an antenna/tracker, same with the rear view mirror. Thieves usually disconnect them to make sure it can’t be tracked. There’s also a third tracker on the rear right side under the headliner so make sure those are still plugged in. The reason for your passenger side being took down is because there’s a something called the star connector, which is used to bypass the security and add a key. There’s also another way through the security gateway module, which was why that was broken as well. They probably tried one way and it didn’t work so they tried the other way. And lastly, I’m sure you know why the driver window was broken. I hope I answered your questions.

Thieves stole our denali and they cut the wires for the rear view mirror to disable the on star. The truck had an aftermarket GPS tracker in it though so..

yea thats what i thought with the mirror there are cameras in everything lol all people have to do is put it in N and get behind it and push it with another car.
The reason you have keys and the wheels were loose: the insurance called the owner and gave them the chance to recover their stuff. They took the aftermarket wheels off and left the two keys.

The owner had a drag pack on it and when it was recovered, he took the drag pack and put the stocks back on. Hence the practically new tires

Don't know ow much about America cars but German cars have the immobilizer sensor and interior motion sensors on the rear view mirror . Maybe that's why they cut the mirror
This type is actually very entertaining. something very satisfying seeing you get these dream cars for cheap at salvages and almost immediately turn it around to be a car worth displaying. keep it up
Just a heads up! My 2018 Durango SRT 392 was stolen in Baltimore, it was recovered and insurance called it a constructive total loss. It was towed to Copart in Finksburg. Prior to being stolen it was CHERRY. It only has 29k miles! I'd love to see you guys buy it and rebuild it.

It’s a shame because someone probably got their car to the exact spec they wanted it at all to end up having it stolen. That color I’m not a fan of but a hellcat challenger with the manual is what I want

Body shop tip use sprayable, seam sealer or undercoating in the door. It’ll will encapsulate any piece of glass you can’t get out and stop the rattling. Make sure not to clog the drain holes.
the mirror was cut because it has the location for the navigation so when it is reported stolen it can be tracked so by cutting it they get rid of the tracking

All is needed is the green plug disconnect from uconnect screen gps is disabled all that other shit they did was for nothing.. I know it works because in the dodge app my car don't show up on the uconnect map lol

This was an extremely lucky situation for it to not have anything at all wrong. Definitely cash in on this car, get the title rebuilt and sell it as a rebuilt car. You could easily get $45,000 - $50,000 out of it as-is.

When you got a little bit of glass in the bottom of the door get you a can of under coating and spray it in the bottom of the door and it will keep the glass from moving around
I think the owner had wheels on it that he wanted back so he swapped the stock ones back on before it went to the salvage yard also would explain why they have tread

I cannot understate how lucky you got. Sometimes insurance companies don’t want to deal with the headache and be lazy to their due diligence on the car. Happy for you bro, looks awesome. You can easily make a profit on this

they remove the rear view mirror because it’s controlled by the dodge app which lets you track and turn off the car so they rip it off so you can’t

That number tag in the trunk is a dealer service tag, weird for the circumstances but possibly something happened to it while in the hands of a dealership
@Abelsgarage_ and that makes sense to why it had 2 keys, dealer probably had the keys in possession and gave them to insurance after car was found
I think the reason they cut the mirror is they thought it has to do with the u connect signal to track it
I owned a CTS-V and i agree the Sounds that the supercharger makes wakes you up... And makes driving soo Much more better.

I'm happy to see my car go to someone who really appreciates the automotive life as well. I put a lot of time into my car and sadly two low lives chose to break into my car taking all of that away from me. The rearview mirror was cut because I had a BlackVue DR970X Dash camera tucked up right next to it. She was taken right from my driveway when I was asleep. Still kicking myself for not pulling it in the garage because I said I was going to wash it... heh. Oh her name is Madison by the way.

@@pno idk depends. With it being a new car just drain the fuel and let it sit when you want to drive it out fuel in and a battery and go. No points ignition to worry about
@@snapped4433 still better to use it, it still has a motor with moving parts just better for the car imo i was a mechanic for a bit but im sure some people would say it's cool to let it sit i mean depends how long if we talking a few months maybe a year sure it's as you said but personally i wouldn't do much longer without atleast warming it up & changing oil & what not haha

I mostly did the stolen scat packs at auction and this is what I usually ran into. Take the gamble and 90% of the time it went just like this. I have had 3 that had bad motors after making a key but you win some and lose some. Some of mine needed minor paint too so it we would fix it and sell it. Didn’t do hellcats as they were way more money and I feel like a bigger risk.
And also always check the shark fin antenna they seem to always be disconnected

If I’m not mistaken one of the two keys should be a valet key to push down the horse power (I believe the red) and the black one is the personal key that makes it 707

First time I drove a Hellcat, I fell in Love. It's so easy to drive (especially for a 700 hp car), its comfortable and it makes all the right noises.

Seen another guy posting this was his car it’s not lmao. The car got stolen September 6th 2023. I left it at my parents house because the apartment I was staying at only had space for my girlfriend’s car and mine. Anyways it got stolen in the morning, when I got the call that the car was stolen I was in medic school in Sacramento. I remembered I left a AirTag in the car so I checked its location and what do you know dumbass who stole it didn’t realize the AirTag wasn’t tracking him. Got some friends and family to check out the car for me as I was an hour away from where it was stolen and they were closer I didn’t want them to take off with it. Guy who stole it had it in his front in the front of his house lmao. Long story short he ain’t the best fiend in the 209. Car didn’t turn on so I had to get it towed to a shop .
When insurance came to see what damage was done they said they’ll have it fixed because damages were so minor. I agreed to fix it but when they they got the final invoice they claimed they changed there mind and that they were gonna total it out rep told me it has 30000 worth of damage I knew it was bullshit I was thinking maybe at most 5000 but I had to realize it was now a salvage title car and it would be less even if I fixed it. So I decided to total it out they gave me 20000 for my car loan and 47000 check .
I started dying when the wheels lug nuts were loose. I originally had beadlocks on the car when it was stolen but when I went to copart to switch them I was told by one of the workers helping me there that he would tighten up the lug nuts for me lmao. About the burble it does not have a burble tune from what I know I just had a mid muffler delete done on the exhaust. Not saying it doesn’t I am the second owner there is a possibility. Cars completely stock except for little stupid things I added by the way you disrespected my Steelers plate frame I want that back must be a browns fan 😂😂😂

Give it to Fernando as a Christmas present. The gray hellcat that is. I know it's a lot of money but sometimes people are deserving a wild crazy gift as such. Not bragging but a few years ago I bought someone extremely deserving a truck. Most epic and wonderful feeling I've ever had. Most beautiful thing about it was the joy it brought to the this person. And in that you could never put a price tag on it. Mi h love to the crew. You guys put out great and funny content.
I'd love one of these, but would never buy one because it would be too stressful worrying about getting carjacked/stolen by the 'brothers'.
It could be a rear view mirror with a hidden camera in them, but a lot of them don’t start recording until you start your car so cut the wires to avoid being recorded

From my understanding they cut the mirror wires cause most newer cars have sos tracking built into mirror area. They also tend to drop the headliner and cut wires to the rear antenna.
The radio and the rear view mirror were removed to disconnect suspected tracker because these are the area where they are usually fixed
