  • How I made this Shirred long sleeve top from deadstock fabric. DIY Shirred blouse tutorial.
    This week a friend of mine kindly sent me a box of deadstock fabrics and in this video, I am putting them to good use. I decided to create a long sleeve shirred blouse that will see me out of the summer months and into the Autumn.
    It's a really simple technique that does not require any complicated pattern cutting or technical sewing knowledge, just lots of patience with the shirring.

    Fabric
    Shirring elastic - www.etsy.com/u...

    MEASUREMENTS
    Top width - Bust width x 1.5 (split across two rectangles)
    Sleeve Width - Arm width x 1.5

    Read your description- so i don’t need to divide my bust by 0.5 and then multiply by 1.5? Just multiply by 1.5, and make two rectangles?

    Do we have to add ×1.5 into length??

      Yeah so for example if you want 30cm when it's finished you'd need to cut your fabric to 45cm. :)
