FWIW, i needed the special 21 spline carburetor tool to tune my 390xp. Thank God for Hipa tools and Amazon. I guess Canada follows the same USA EPA rules and requires special tools to tune the carbies?
Donnie, what are your recommendations for fuel mix ratios? The stuff I keep seeing online is silly. I usually run 45:1 or 40:1 and tune in the cut for a 4 stroke that cleans up under load. Seems perfect to me. Am I doing it wrong?
Hi from Australia Donny. I have a question. If I have rebuilt a 455 Rancher bottom end, do I need to set the gap between the flywheel and the ignition module? I see it is adjustable…thanks.
HEY DONNY, HAVE YOU EVER WORKED ON A HUSQVARNA L 77? A FRIEND OF MINE HAD ONE ABOUT 30 YEARS AGO AND USED TO LAUGH ABOUT OTHER SAWS, CLAIMING; "THE HUSKY L 77 IS THE BADDEST CHAINSAW EVER MADE". I CAME ACROSS A "PARTS ONLY" ONE FAIRLY CHEAP RECENTLY, AND WONDERED IF YOU HAD EXPERIENCE WITH THAT SAW.

I enjoyed the day Donny, tied into a 24” fir with the 390 you built me!
