Fix Pressure Washer Unloader Valve in 2 Minutes

  • If your pressure washer is not building pressure (and the engine is surging), there could be a few different causes. One of them is a sticking unloader valve.
    Here we show you how to make sure the unloader valve on your home pressure washer is clean in just 2 minutes.
    If this does not fix your pressure washer and make it build pressure again, then it is likely a water pump problem. We tackle that next time.

      @@HNXMedia I took it out and the pin works perfectly fine. I even cleaned the little holes on the side. It's still doing the same thing. I notice though, the unit won't stall out if I take the gun off and just let water run through it. I put the gun back on and hold down trigger, unit it ok. Let go of trigger, pump sounds like metal noises before stalling out. I wonder if something on the inside of pump broke

    • @HNXMedia
      @HNXMedia  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ShyRage1 That could very well be it too. Replacing a pump is super easy and on most unit only cost about $80. I had one that was completely shredded on the inside. Check out this video here for How easy it is to swap out a pump: th-cam.com/video/Np9c0MLnUv8/w-d-xo.html

      @@HNXMedia after watching your other video I saw that the pump itself also has a timing key 🗝️. I wonder if this is what broke in it and if that what I'm hearing. Also, if this could be why I'm having that issue

      @@HNXMedia I ended up taking the pump off and apart. I cant get to the center of the pump for some reason but I found out if I shake it, It sounds like loose bearings. I'd say the pump is shot, your thoughts? Now, how do you disconnect the line going into the pump? On mine, it's not as simple as just unscrewing like a water hose.
