Thanks for the tips!! I am so excited for my trip to Copenhagen, I think we will be staying in Vesterbro. We will be going in the winter so it will be cold, but I have never been anywhere in Europe before so I'm super excited to start in Copenhagen!
Thanks for your comment 🙌 Yeah, Copenhagen is definitely cold and dark in winter, but there’s also a lot less tourists so it’s not all bad. I wish you a great trip 🇩🇰
A very informative and important video. we took your advice and booked a hotel near Nørreport station, it's so convenient, walking distance to many attractions and most importantly Metro and Trains nearby.
Thanks for the cool overview in this video! Our favorite is the Hotel CPH Living. It's a floating hotel, which makes it a special experience. And most of the main attractions of the city are within walking distance 🙂
Anywhere a few minutes' walk from a Metro station (or S-train) gives easy, fast, comfortable, inexpensive access to anything you might want in Copenhagen.
Hello! I'm staying in Kødbyen from March 12th to March 14th. I'm coming over for the first time ever, and I hope that I will have enough time to visit Malmö too. I also wish to have a nice weather as well. Thank you for the video!
Hi Chris I've been watching all your video's on Copenhagen and really injured them would love to see more and hopefully I will as have trip booked. Would love to know more about the best places to eat and drink. Cheers
We had the most wonderful time in Copenhagen last year at this time! I watched your video just to see where you recomended and you show the exact place we stayed on Larsbjornsstrade! Great quiet side street but close to activity and two wonderful coffee shops right around the corner. I still dream of Roast coffee and pastries from another neaby shop. I hope to return soon!
Your video is perfect, Kris! Thank you so much. I’m following you on instagram and I can’t wait for my Copenhagen’s trip in September! ❤ hugs from Brazil 🇧🇷
Thank you for yours videos, this summer I am going to visit the city and your videos are very helpful :) Could you tell me, if the weather is in the beginning of September still good?
Thank you very much! September used to be the start of autumn, but the last couple of years, September has been really nice with sunshine and temperatures at around 20 degrees. Fingers crossed for good weather for your trip 🇩🇰
Probably should have watched this before I stayed at a bnb right on that stretch of Istedgade! 😅 I didn’t feel unsafe or anything, but was loud all through the night.
Hi there. I watch your videos and educate myself regarding the site seeing places in Copenhagen. I will be there in last week of August. Hopefully we can meet there.🎉.
Thank you for a series of excellent videos. 👏👏 Where should we stay in this scenario? Arriving early afternoon but have to be back at the airport before 9am next morning for a long haul flight. Metro into the city, stay in the city centre and metro back or book into somewhere at the airport, metro in to town and then back to the airport later in the evening after a quick look around, meal etc.
Thank you! Definitely get a city centre hotel. The metro runs so smoothly from city centre to airport that there's no reason to stay in the dull area near the airport. If you stay within walking distance of Kongens Nytorv or Nørreport it's going to be super easy.
Liked and subscribed just now. I am planning on 3 days and two nights from May 3rd to 5th , to take Cruise from May 5th. Glad I found a local expert like you. Just watched your first video and start exploring more. Right now if I pick a hotel in the Indre By area it is coming around $400 - $500 for two nights with some cancellation option seem to be a bit pricey when I checked Radisson Blue. Any other decent hotels I am little bit flexible with location as well. Cheers 👍
Great video! Glad I found your channel. Visiting for the first time in Sep. What do you recommend for hostels? Is it worth staying at different ones in different areas or is it easy to get to the neighbourhoods you mentioned?
Thank you very much, Kyle! No, Copenhagen is very small compared to other major European capitals, and the Metro connects all the main areas very well. So I'd suggest getting a hostel in the city centre or near a metro station in Vesterbro or Nørrebro, for instance. Next House Copenhagen in the city centre is a popular option: destinationwellknown.com/link/nexthouse-cph It's a stone's throw from the waterfront, Tivoli Gardens, the central station and the cute streets of the old town. If you want a more local vibe, then the Sleep in Heaven hostel in Nørrebro is brilliant as well: destinationwellknown.com/link/sleepinheaven-cphyt I've got a mate from Canada who stayed there for a week, and he loved it. Hope this helps - feel free to ask away if you've got any more questions about CPH 🇩🇰
I'm stopping into Copenhagen for a couple of nights for my first time in September as well. There are quite a few hostels. I'm staying at Next House because I liked the location. Good price as well.
Just returned from København a couple of days ago, and you're right- no need to have a car there! Great place, but quite crowded this time of year. What's the best off season time to visit? Cold/rainy/snowy weather is perfectly fine for me.
visiting cophenhagen this month staying near central station and tiviolli garden can you suggest a 3 days tour to different places in copenhagen and thaks for the valuable content
Hi Kris! Headed to Copenhagen this summer and Ive been looking at Hostels. Any thoughts on Next House? Are the surrounding areas fairly safe to walk around at most hours? Thanks in advance and thanks for making this video. Ill look more into the areas
Hiya! Yeah, that's a brilliant place to stay in Copenhagen - 5 minutes from Tivoli and 10 minutes from Strøget (the main pedestrian street in Copenhagen). It's also very close to the Harbour area, which is one of the best places to enjoy summer in Denmark :)
Hi! I was trying to choose between Next House or Steel House Copenhagen. I am going now in March and I chose Steel House, since I heard it's a much more pleasant place to stay.
Visiting Copenhagen this week for a few nights, right next to central station. Noted to be aware at night for any weird activity. No matter how safe a city is, around the central stations it’s important to be more alert
When you past Assistensens Cemetery in Nørrebro, it was perhaps a good idea to mention which famous people are buried there. I can mention: The well-known Danish rapper who died in a car accident, Natasja, writer and poet H.C.Andersen, physicist Niels Bohr and the poets Peter Faber, Michael Strunge and Dan Turéll are buried at Assistens Cemetery At Christianshavn, you can pre-book a historian who can walk around with you and tell the story of the old buildings, streets and churches - if you want a different angle on Christianshavn. But very good overview of "my" city ;)
Thanks! I think it's great, I haven't been there myself, but I saw it in a Copenhagen travel vlog and they seemed to enjoy it. The location is excellent - try Mr Ramen next door, that's one of the best ramen places in CPH.
I am only 35 and I already feel too old for Norrebro and Vesterbro. Their charm eludes me. I was walking there last week and didn’t know how to get out of there faster. Both the crowds and the surrounding were a bit too grungy and motley for my taste.
I visit Copenhagen quite often, sometimes with our one-year-old. I have never felt less safe in Istedgade near the train station than in any other part of Copenhagen. 🤷♂ 1:25
Thanks! Yes, it definitely is - it's in one of the newest areas of Copenhagen that lacks any "life." I would definitely look for a place closer to the city centre.
thanks for the great vids (just watched your cph airport to city centre vid too!) how is Østerport in regards of location? is it safe? is it easy / expensive to get to tourist hotspots in the city centre? tak :)
Thank you for the video. I'm kinda in the middle between two hotels. The second one seems like it's not in the center? Could you give me a suggestion about these two? 25hours Hotel Indre By and NH Collection Copenhagen
Sure! So, 25Hours is literally in the heart of Copenhagen - you can't find a more central hotel than that. NH Collection is in Christianshavn, but you can walk to the city centre in 2 minutes over a bridge. So they're both extremely central places to stay in Copenhagen and excellent hotels, too. Perhaps NH is a bit more luxurious, and they've just opened their rooftop bar with an epic view of Copenhagen. But 25Hours wins on location by a margin. Here are booking links (if other travellers are reading this and want to check them out): 25Hours: www.booking.com/hotel/dk/25hours-indre-by.en.html?aid=2285317&no_rooms=1&group_adults=2&label=DWK-TH-cam-WTSCPH-25hours NH Collection: www.booking.com/hotel/dk/nh-collection-copenhagen.en.html?aid=2285317&no_rooms=1&group_adults=2&label=DWK-TH-cam-WTSCPH-NH
@@VeganTeacher You're welcome. Great location, too; however, I'd rather stay in one of the hotels above. Because CitizenM's location is on a big road and right in front of the city hall square, it might be a bit harder to find non-touristy cafés and restaurants in the area RIGHT around the hotel. But it's very central and close to Vesterbro too :)
@@destinationwellknown That one is a bit cheaper, so I wanted to ask you about it as well. NH one is really expensive compared to CitizenM. But you say CitizenM is in a crowded area as far as I understand. :/
@@VeganTeacher Oh, I see. Then I'd just book CitizenM. The location IS very good, you've just got to be aware that most cafés and restaurants right around there are a bit touristy. But if you walk a few minutes over to Studiestræde and the surrounding streets, you'll find some excellent places.
Many thanks for this. My son is moving to Copenhagen for a year to study at the University. Which is the best area for him to look at? Also where's the cheapest bars?
Thanks! As a student, I would 100% recommend Nørrebro - that's hands-down the perfect place to stay (or live) as a young person in Copenhagen. That's also where there are loads of great, cheap bars - we call these "brown bars/bodegas" and they're all over town. In Nørrebro I'd recommend bars like Stefanshus, Karrusellen, Nørre Bodega (used to have very cheap pints, but haven't been for a long time tbh) and Det Ny Scala. Tjili Pop is another cool cafe/bar with a very youthful vibe, I loved it in there when I was younger.
Thank you very much! I would say that all the areas mentioned in this video are perfectly safe for a solo traveller. Would you happen to know what the budget per night is for your friend? Then I can narrow it down and recommend a couple of hotels. 🤝
Hi, I love your videos. We are flying into Copenhagen July 1 at 3 and out July 2 at 12 pm . All of our flights were having a long layover in Copenhagen so we thought we should just embrace it and have a little time for a quick exploration. Any suggestions on where to stay. We contemplated staying at the airport hotel and just going into the city but since its only short metro ride to the airport maybe staying in Indre By any suggestions on hotels or restaurants would be so helpful.
Hi Kris! Thank you for a wonderful video. We are coming for Christmas 2024 (family of 5 adults) and were wondering if Stay Bryggen is at a good location for first time travellers, please? Thank you so much!
Thank you! I walk past there a lot on one of my daily (long) walks and tbh it’s not ideal… There’s not much going on around there so if you want to stay near good cafes, restaurants and things to do, then it ain’t the spot. I’d rather find a place in the city centre tbh ✌️
@@avawright-qc1py It's honestly not that bad. Take the 77 bus line from the hotel to the Islands Brygge metro station (two or three stops) and you'll get to anywhere fast. Or just go one stop on the M1 metro line to Christianshavn, plenty of cafés there. Quick tip: Jumping on one of the harbour buses is a nice and cheap way to see Copenhagen from the "sea side" as those go all the way from the northern to the southern ends of the harbour. You can sit inside, or stay outside on the deck. (Copenhagen harbour may be a bit less charming during wintertime (wet, cold etc.)). In the summertime these buses makes for a great alternative to the tour boats (although you don't get the guide service)
Hi, really informative video I’m moving to cph with my 2 small dogs from Melbourne .. cuddles u help which cud be t best neighbourhoods that is close to main areas
Hi, I first visited Copenhagen in 2014 and arrived here today for the 5th time. Its such a brilliant place and everyone is so friendly. I want to get a train to another town to see a bit more of Denmark, do you have any sugestions? I was thinking Roskilde, a friend suggested Helsingor.
Hi there. That's awesome to hear! I agree with your friend: Helsingør (or Elsinore, as it's called/spelt in English) would be a brilliant day trip from Copenhagen. You can take the "Øresundstog" from Copenhagen Central Station to Helsingør in just 46 minutes, and the train ride is quite nice. Helsingør is a cute little city where you must visit Kronborg Castle, one of Denmark's most famous castles. You could even take the ferry from Helsingør to Helsingborg in Sweden for just a 98 DKK return. The ferries run every 20 minutes, and the trip only takes 20 minutes too. If you want to see a bit of Sweden on your trip, it's incredibly easy as the train station is just a few minutes walk from the ferry port.
I'm from Copenhagen, and I would say both Roskilde and Helsingør are great choices. Roskilde is both cute and beautiful and has the Roskilde cathedral (Roskilde Domkirke) which is UNESCO world heritage and really beautiful. There's also the Viking museum in Roskilde, if you're into that kind of stuff. Helsingør is also a cute and beautiful city as mentioned by destinationwellknown with the Kronborg Castle (Also UNESCO world heritage, and the castle of Shakespear's Hamlet)
@@destinationwellknown Hi thanks for the advice, I ended up going to Dragør only a short bus ride from the Airport as it chucked it down (rained heavily) all day when I was planning on going to Helsingør and I didn't want to get soaked, maybe next time. Tried Lagkagehuset for the first time, aah those Danish pastries and sandwiches, it's like a really posh Greggs. Not sure if Danes are aware but Lurpak is renowned as the best butter you can get in UK shops, there was a national outcry when the big tub reached £5 last year due to inflation. In some shops it is security tagged, guess it makes the best pastries.
@@toonarmy00 Good call - I think Dragør is excellent (on a sunny summer day, at least). Haha, I love the thought of Lagkagehuset being a posh Greggs 😀I've lived in Edinburgh, so I've got an affinity for Greggs; if only Lagkagehuset's prices were like Greggs I'd be thrilled!
Hi,great video. Coming to Copenhagen in December for the first time. Could you please recommend any family friendly hotels as we coming with young children.
@@daceodzina9915 That's also the first hotel that came to my mind, as it's (usually) good value for money and within walking distance of many of the main attractions in CPH. Here's a link (if others are reading this and want to see the hotel): destinationwellknown.com/link/cph-strand Another option could be the Scandic Palace Hotel: www.booking.com/hotel/dk/scandic-palace.en.html?aid=2285317&no_rooms=1&group_adults=2&label=DWK-WTS-CPH
Thank you for the video. A question. What if someone wants to live long-term in Copenhagen and their job is in the center? Which area is nicest to live? Thank you in advance! :) Christina
Thanks! That would depend on age and what you like, but in general, I think most people agree that Vesterbro, Frederiksberg, Østerbro and perhaps bits of Amager are very nice. The metro has just grown with new lines so Sydhavn and Nordhavn are also well connected with the city centre now actually.
Oooh, that's a tough one! It could be rainy and windy, with degrees around 10-12 Celsius. But it could also be sunny and up to 15-17 degrees. We had 24 degrees and sun yesterday in mid-September, so this year seems to be a bit weird. So I'm sorry, but it's impossible to say this year.
Hi Chris! I stumbled upon your video while searching for best areas to live in for long term 1years plus. Thinking about if Frederiksberg would be a good area to rent a flat. Any thoughts/suggestions from would be highly appreciated.
Frederiksberg is definitely one of the best areas to live in Copenhagen. It's also super expensive... But if you can find a flat, it's definitely worth it.
Staying part of July, entire month of Aug. In cph. Cool weather.booked 3 months ago for winter prices in summer. Live in Arizona, August is 119 fahrenheit.😮😮 Cph will be great
@@destinationwellknown thanks for the insight. Btw how is the vanlose area for living if you have any insights, it would help a great deal. Thanks in advance!
@@theNotSoNorthIndian Cheers. Vanløse isn't as nice as the more central parts of Copenhagen, but it's not too bad either, as you can quickly get into town with the metro. But I would pick Nørrebro, Vesterbro, Østerbro, Christianshavn or Frederiksberg any day over Vanløse (but they're also way more expensive and harder to find a flat)
We are soo excited to visit Copenhagen May 2024. Any recommendations on where to stay as a precruise accommodation in Copenhagen close to MSC Euribia Cruise port terminal.
I'm not sure what port that boat docks from, but I wouldn't recommend staying around the port terminals in Copenhagen, as they're in quite a remote area. I'd rather stay in the city centre and then get to the port terminal by public transport (or taxi) on the day of departure.
Hello Chris, I am planning a trip to Europe next year and I wanted to spend two or three nights in Copenhagen. Which neighborhood do you suggest? Indreby? Thank you.
Hi Claudia. Indre By if you want to be able to walk "everywhere" - Vesterbro if you want to stay in an area of Copenhagen where more locals tend to hang out ✌🏻
Thanks for showing us your city and sharing your experience. I'll visit Copenhagen with a group of students. Medicinsk Museion sounds great. Have you been there? Would you recommend it? Happiness Mueseum also sounds great. Do you have some recommendations for team-building activities? Thank you so much in advance for taking the time to share your suggestions!
Medicinsk Museion is definetely worth a visit. It is located in the original buildings of the Royal Surgical Academy (anno 1787) so the original auditorium (this is where the "surgeons" of the day would perform their operations and dissections in front of the students) is still preserved along with a pharmacy of that time (some rather strange medical ingredients there😉). "Surgery" at the time was rather looked down upon, as it involved blood and cutting in people, something that was usually left for "bartskærere" (barbers), while "medicine" was the more intellectual medical profession. The two professions were later combined into one, paving the way for a more modern approach to medicine. There is also a collection of skeletons from people with various deformities. A bit grisly, but quite interesting nonetheless.
Any cheap and good quality house you wana recommend for short period of time with minimum rent as he is alone right now but may be with family in few days. His stay there is almost 1.5 months
@@destinationwellknown Any cheap and good quality house you wana recommend for short period of time with minimum rent as he is alone right now but may be with family in few days. His stay there is almost 1.5 months
Hi Chris! I'm thinking of exploring Copenhagen for 6 days, is that too much? Also, any affordable AirBNb in the areas you mentioned! Appreciate your response!
Hi Chris, I'm going to Copenhagen next week and I'm trying to figure out if there is city bike rental system. I think you mentioned Donkey bikes in another video. Anyways, what do you think is the best bike rental system or shop in Copenhagen?
Hiya! I haven't used Donkey, and tbh I don't know where it'd be best to rent a bike in Copenhagen 😬 It's actually something I advise against if you're not used to biking - because it can be pretty hectic and dangerous to ride a bike in Copenhagen if you're not familiar with the rules of the road. Sorry ✌️
It's not my favourite part of Copenhagen as I just find it a bit boring, but there's nothing wrong with Østerbro - it's a perfectly fine area and a good place to stay with children as it's very quiet and safe.
Good question! But no, Indre By, Vesterbro, Nørrebro and Christianshavn are still the best areas to stay. But of course, a lot of the charm of the "Copenhagen Waterfront" area is only there when it's summer. So keep that in mind 🤝
Hi Kris, do you know if the "around the sound" ticket still available for purchase at the tourist center in Copenhagen? If yes, is it still valid to use it for train between Copenhagen and Roskilde? Thank you for your info as I cannot find any recent information online, only those that were years ago.
Haha, probably not, my fellow Dane! 😅 Even though Egeskov Castle is well worth a visit. I'll indeed be covering the islands south of Funen and the city of Svendborg, though, as I feel that part of Denmark might be a bit of a hidden gem to tourists 🇩🇰
I will be back to live in Copenhagen for a while now and Im happy im gonna stay in norrebro 😍 But are there any bars or clubs that stay Open late around there ? Because In albanian culture we are used to stay in one of the neighberhoods bars or caffe till very late 😂
Good idea, Nørrebro is awesome! Yes, for instance, you've got a cocktail bar like Kassen that is open until 4 in the morning on the weekends. But most normal bars and pubs will probably close at 02. However, I think Karrusellen (a proper Danish bar/pub) is open until 5 in the morning...
Hello, now I'm not sure anymore if staying in Absalon Hotel ( along Instedgade)would be a nice choice for our trip next year. Our group is composed of 3 female adults and a female senior citizen. Is it not safe to walk from the metro to absalon hotel at around 8 pm?
December is the best month to visit Copenhagen of all the winter months (and November). It can get pretty dark, cold and rainy in December, but it could also be 5 degrees Celsius and sunshine - you never know, and it could change during the day. But at least in December, the streets will have a nice sensation because of the Christmas decorations and the cosy Christmas markets. Tivoli is also open with its special Winter/Christmas celebrations. So Copenhagen is a totally different city from the one I showed in this video (filmed in June), but December is the best month in winter.
Nice informative video. It seems like you're either shooting the videos at 30fps or exporting them below 60fps which makes the video tearing to the eyes. Would bump the already nice quality that you're striving for. Wish you good luck with your channel.
The Copenhagen Marriott Hotel by the waterfront? I haven't stayed there myself, but I run past it all the time, and the location is definitely fantastic. Especially now when it's summer - there's a swimming area right in front of the hotel and they've also just upgraded their bar area by the water. Here's a link to the hotel: destinationwellknown.com/link/marriott-copenhagen
@@destinationwellknown it's snowy I'm assuming at that time.. Actually Denmark has been on my radar since quite some time now. Initially I was to visit in September but had to cancel and go to Germany and Czech. Is there sunny or is it dull like the UK.?
@@nipun123100 Unfortunately we don't get much snow these years. The weather here is very similar to the UK in winter - cold, dark and grey with a lot of rain.
Spring or Summer 100%. Winters here are usually cold, dark and rainy. This year it's been quite sunny and colder than usual, though. I'd probably say January and February are the worst months to visit Copenhagen. June/july/august are the best.
Yes, it does. I'd suggest getting to Amalienborg, so you're there, perhaps 10 to 12, as the guards arrive in formation a few minutes before 12 o'clock. No, it's completely free to visit the Palace Square outside of Amalienborg 🇩🇰 There's more info about the changing of the guards in Copenhagen here: www.kongernessamling.dk/en/amalienborg/palacesquare/
@@George-ps5 Oh, I wouldn't know, to be honest. In my experience, changing the guards in Copenhagen is way less crowded than in London and other places. It's not really a massive thing here, so I think you'll be ok :)
hi Kris. we are coming to Copenhagen in September. we are looking for a nice hotel and since we are coming in a car we also need a hotel which includes parking. can you suggest such a hotel?
Sure! I'd recommend the NH Collection as they're one of the few hotels in the city centre with indoor parking. It's right by the harbour on the Christianshavn-side - a 5 min walk to Indre By. thank you for your answer. Another question/ request. can you suggest a nice fish restaurant? I don't eat meat at all. plus, do we need a guide or can we manage without one?
@@The1bd I'm not the biggest fish eater, but I've heard good things about Kødbyens Fiskebar and Krogs Fiskerestaurant. Copenhagen is fairly small, so most tourists won't need a guide. We all speak pretty good English, and most people you meet on the street will be happy to help if you're lost or need a local's tip :)
Hey brother, i am from a small devloping county called Nepal.I am trying to move to Copenhagen this September maybe if things go as planned . Can you help me get jobs for me to survive or teach me Danish language and culture . Waiting for your reply from half world away. Yours truly new subscriber
I have 3 dogs and 2 cats - If i were to move to Copenhagen, It's not likely for us to find a house where they allow me to have that many animals right? I'm thinking about moving to far, far away from the downtown (like maybe Holte) is that unusual choice for people who work in the city?
Yes, unfortunately, having pets would make it (even) harder to find a place to live in CPH. In general, finding apartments in Greater Copenhagen is extremely hard, so looking for a house in Holte would be a good idea. It'll only take 20 minutes with the S-train from Holte to Nørreport in the city centre, so that would be a brilliant place to live and commute from.
Yes! You are right. I had a bad experience at the Istegade Zleep hotel, which is near the central station. I was vlogging and suddenly a lady (prostitute) she was drunk, and she shouted at me and told me no video, but I was not recording her, and I was sharing my experience of the city, and I do respect others privacy in public places, but she suddenly thrown her wine glass bottle on me luckily I didn't got hit, but I was shocked by her action and also I called police they were not at all supportive they didn't came to help or inquire about the incident. so, guys avoid istegad specially hotels which are near to kobehavn staion

The joy of a more homogenic european nation. If others want to gamble with multiculturalism....good luck to them.
Thanks for the cool overview in this video! Our favorite is the Hotel CPH Living. It's a floating hotel, which makes it a special experience. And most of the main attractions of the city are within walking distance 🙂
Thanks! Oh yeah that's a cool place to stay for sure 🙌
Anywhere a few minutes' walk from a Metro station (or S-train) gives easy, fast, comfortable, inexpensive access to anything you might want in Copenhagen.
I agree - the metro in Copenhagen is the best way to get around the different areas. Especially the Cityring/Circle Line 💪🏻
Hello! I'm staying in Kødbyen from March 12th to March 14th. I'm coming over for the first time ever, and I hope that I will have enough time to visit Malmö too. I also wish to have a nice weather as well. Thank you for the video!
Awesome! You are going to love staying in Kødbyen for sure 🙌

Hi Chris I've been watching all your video's on Copenhagen and really injured them would love to see more and hopefully I will as have trip booked. Would love to know more about the best places to eat and drink. Cheers
Thanks a lot! I've got a few food-related videos in the pipeline actually 🤝
Oh, that's fantastic to hear 🙌 Copenhagen in the summertime is amazing tbh.
Thanks so much for the videos i got straight into the city from the airport using your tips and now im looking for places to stay. Very helpful.
Thank you - I'm glad you found the video useful 🤝
Thanks Chris. This is a great help. We'll be there July 2024. Thanks again.

Thank you for yours videos, this summer I am going to visit the city and your videos are very helpful :)
Could you tell me, if the weather is in the beginning of September still good?
Thank you very much! September used to be the start of autumn, but the last couple of years, September has been really nice with sunshine and temperatures at around 20 degrees.

Probably should have watched this before I stayed at a bnb right on that stretch of Istedgade! 😅 I didn’t feel unsafe or anything, but was loud all through the night.
Haha! Yes, it's incredibly convenient location-wise, but it can be a bit rowdy at night 😅 Hope you had an excellent time in Copenhagen anyways.
Hi Christian, nice video. I'm planning my stay in Copenhagen this August. I'm almost finalized. Can't wait to see this city. Tony USA/NYC.
Hi there.
I watch your videos and educate myself regarding the site seeing places in Copenhagen. I will be there in last week of August. Hopefully we can meet there.🎉.
That's awesome to hear - I hope my video helped. Have a great trip to Copenhagen 🇩🇰
Cheers for this as going at some point next year. Need something easy for Instagram/tourist attractions. Like the craft beer places as well. Cherrs

Thank you for a series of excellent videos. 👏👏
Where should we stay in this scenario? Arriving early afternoon but have to be back at the airport before 9am next morning for a long haul flight. Metro into the city, stay in the city centre and metro back or book into somewhere at the airport, metro in to town and then back to the airport later in the evening after a quick look around, meal etc.
Thank you!
Definitely get a city centre hotel. The metro runs so smoothly from city centre to airport that there's no reason to stay in the dull area near the airport. If you stay within walking distance of Kongens Nytorv or Nørreport it's going to be super easy.
@@destinationwellknown Many thanks for your advice, cheers Chris!👍😀
Liked and subscribed just now. I am planning on 3 days and two nights from May 3rd to 5th , to take Cruise from May 5th. Glad I found a local expert like you. Just watched your first video and start exploring more. Right now if I pick a hotel in the Indre By area it is coming around $400 - $500 for two nights with some cancellation option seem to be a bit pricey when I checked Radisson Blue. Any other decent hotels I am little bit flexible with location as well. Cheers 👍
Nice video! Thank you!

Great work, thank you!!

Next House Copenhagen in the city centre is a popular option: destinationwellknown.com/link/nexthouse-cph
It's a stone's throw from the waterfront, Tivoli Gardens, the central station and the cute streets of the old town.
If you want a more local vibe, then the Sleep in Heaven hostel in Nørrebro is brilliant as well: destinationwellknown.com/link/sleepinheaven-cphyt
I've got a mate from Canada who stayed there for a week, and he loved it.

@@destinationwellknown thank you for responding! Appreciate you!
Visiting Copenhagen this week for a few nights, right next to central station. Noted to be aware at night for any weird activity. No matter how safe a city is, around the central stations it’s important to be more alert
Yeah good point 🤝
When you past Assistensens Cemetery in Nørrebro, it was perhaps a good idea to mention which famous people are buried there.
I can mention: The well-known Danish rapper who died in a car accident, Natasja, writer and poet H.C.Andersen, physicist Niels Bohr and the poets Peter Faber, Michael Strunge and Dan Turéll are buried at Assistens Cemetery
At Christianshavn, you can pre-book a historian who can walk around with you and tell the story of the old buildings, streets and churches - if you want a different angle on Christianshavn.
But very good overview of "my" city ;)
Excellent job, tak!
Thank you 🙏🏻🇩🇰
we stayed in urban house meininger right behind the central station and it was an ok place, even at midnight there weren’t any drunks or so.
Great information! How is the Ascot Hotel? Booked there for early September.
Hahaha yeah I hear you - I'm in my early 30's and definitely feel old in Nørrebro after dark..
I visit Copenhagen quite often, sometimes with our one-year-old. I have never felt less safe in Istedgade near the train station than in any other part of Copenhagen. 🤷♂ 1:25
That’s awesome 🥰👌
Great videos! We stayed in Vesterbro at The Savoy. Such a great location - some great shops in our street and not too noisy at night.
Thanks! And thanks for the advice 🤝🇩🇰
Thank you. That was very insightful!! Do you believe the STAY Seaport is too far away from the CityCenter or the Waterfront area?
Thanks! Yes, it definitely is - it's in one of the newest areas of Copenhagen that lacks any "life." I would definitely look for a place closer to the city centre.
Bro nice vid ❤can you make cheap eats in copenhagen? thanks!
Thanks! I'll put that on the to-do list, thanks for the idea 🤝
In my two-week trip in Denmark, I am thinking to spend 4 nights in Copenhagen
Good idea 🤝
thanks for the great vids (just watched your cph airport to city centre vid too!) how is Østerport in regards of location? is it safe? is it easy / expensive to get to tourist hotspots in the city centre? tak :)
Thanks! Østerport is probably one of the most posh places in Copenhagen, so it's incredibly safe, and the connection to the rest of the city is great.
Hello! Will attractions and restaurants be open during Easter weekend ? I am planning to visit next year during the Easter week.
I really liked Amager strand. I just found it rather pleasant
Nice place in the summertime 🤝
Good one!
Thanks!
Thank you for the video. I'm kinda in the middle between two hotels. The second one seems like it's not in the center? Could you give me a suggestion about these two?
25hours Hotel Indre By and
NH Collection Copenhagen
Here are booking links (if other travellers are reading this and want to check them out):

@@destinationwellknown Thank you for the detailed reply. What about CitizenM?
@destinationwellknown Thanks again. How much is a pint in these cheaper places? This is more for me when I visit. Lol

Thank you so much! Will keep looking!@@destinationwellknown

Go see the west coast, Ringkobing and Arnhaus. Not much there to see but they are quaint little towns atleast Ringkobing is.

Thank you for the video. A question. What if someone wants to live long-term in Copenhagen and their job is in the center? Which area is nicest to live?
Thank you in advance! :)
Christina
Thanks! That would depend on age and what you like, but in general, I think most people agree that Vesterbro, Frederiksberg, Østerbro and perhaps bits of Amager are very nice. The metro has just grown with new lines so Sydhavn and Nordhavn are also well connected with the city centre now actually.
Vesterbro has the best restaurants though... if you're a foodie
Especially "Kødbyen"
Good tip - love the Meat Packing District. I should make a whole Vesterbro video actually.
What is the weather during middle of October? And a suitable clothing to wear. Thank you
Oooh, that's a tough one!

@@destinationwellknown thank you for your guidance. Much appreciated.
There’s nothing like Nørrebro 🥰
Btw - I live in Kværndrup 🤣

I’m planning on cycling to Copenhagen in April, are there any places to stay with secure lock ups…or even better, let me have the bike in my room?
Hi Chris! I'm thinking of exploring Copenhagen for 6 days, is that too much?
Also, any affordable AirBNb in the areas you mentioned! Appreciate your response!
If you get bored take a boat to the other places 😮
Hi Chris, I'm going to Copenhagen next week and I'm trying to figure out if there is city bike rental system. I think you mentioned Donkey bikes in another video. Anyways, what do you think is the best bike rental system or shop in Copenhagen?
Hiya! I haven't used Donkey, and tbh I don't know where it'd be best to rent a bike in Copenhagen 😬 It's actually something I advise against if you're not used to biking - because it can be pretty hectic and dangerous to ride a bike in Copenhagen if you're not familiar with the rules of the road. Sorry ✌️
A little late with the comment but would you recommend staying in Østerbro? Also would you advise buying the Copenhagen card?
It's not my favourite part of Copenhagen as I just find it a bit boring, but there's nothing wrong with Østerbro - it's a perfectly fine area and a good place to stay with children as it's very quiet and safe.
hi! would you choose differently during winter? the areas i mean :)
What about Kværndrup? Could you make a video about that city?

Hello , we are staying close to Christianshavn metro station , is this walking distance from most of the sights?
Yep! That’s very central 👌
My wife & I are discussing a possible trip to Copenhagen in early December. Would that be a nice time to visit for 3 nights?
December is the best month to visit Copenhagen of all the winter months (and November). It can get pretty dark, cold and rainy in December, but it could also be 5 degrees Celsius and sunshine - you never know, and it could change during the day. But at least in December, the streets will have a nice sensation because of the Christmas decorations and the cosy Christmas markets. Tivoli is also open with its special Winter/Christmas celebrations.
So Copenhagen is a totally different city from the one I showed in this video (filmed in June), but December is the best month in winter.
@@destinationwellknownThanks so much for taking the time to reply. Wonderful!!

I've seen prices from 125 DKK per day but check with your hotel, as quite a lot of hotels offer them for free (if you're staying there, obviously).

The Copenhagen Marriott Hotel by the waterfront? I haven't stayed there myself, but I run past it all the time, and the location is definitely fantastic. Especially now when it's summer - there's a swimming area right in front of the hotel and they've also just upgraded their bar area by the water.

@@destinationwellknown thank you so much
thank you for your answer.
@@destinationwellknown thank you kris
Is there any website where i can check the prices and book
Yes, check this guide where I'm linking directly to the hotels in Copenhagen I recommend: destinationwellknown.com/where-to-stay-copenhagen/
mini ramp location in the start?
That's in front of 'Friheden' in Nørrebro
I was vlogging and suddenly a lady (prostitute) she was drunk, and she shouted at me and told me no video, but I was not recording her, and I was sharing my experience of the city, and I do respect others privacy in public places, but she suddenly thrown her wine glass bottle on me luckily I didn't got hit, but I was shocked by her action and also I called police they were not at all supportive they didn't came to help or inquire about the incident. so, guys avoid istegad specially hotels which are near to kobehavn staion
can i meet you whn i arrive here in copenhagen

Hi and Namaste. I'm sorry, but I don't know much about badminton academies in Denmark. A lot of hotels are actually providing free bicycles for guests, have you checked if your hotels do this?
What is the best area to stay in for a bachelor party?
Indre By for sure 👌
@@destinationwellknown Thanks! 🤔 So Indre By is better than Vesterbro?

Copenhagen is the only proper 'big city' we have in Denmark. You could try looking at Aarhus, Odense and Aalborg, but they're tiny...
Jeg boede pa et hotel pa Borgergade naer Gothergade. Sandsynligvis ikke meget eventyrligt, men praktisk.
Brilliant place to stay right in the city centre of Copenhagen 🇩🇰
