- Follow along to these stretches to get a flexible back! Improving back flexibility will help you get your chest stand, backbend, needle and much more. This routine is perfect for anyone whether you're a beginner, intermediate or advanced at flexibility. For fast results, I recommend following along daily or at least 3 times a week.

Anna, I can’t even express how happy I am with these stretches. 3 years ago, I started my cheerleading journey. I never thought I’d be able to be like the older girls doing flips and all those cool tricks in the air. After my coaches recommended your videos to me, it changed my whole cheerleading style. I used to never be able to do a bridge 3 years ago. If I did do my bridge, it looked horrible! I’ve been stretching everyday now and my cartwheels, hand stands, back bends, and kick overs look like a professional has taught me. And a professional did actually teach it. Her name is Anna McNulty. She has taught me so much in these past 3 years ❤

Day 11: I’m getting soooo much closer to my backbend even than yesterday, and it feels so much less scary to fall into a backbend than it felt before, now i feel like I’m going to be ready soon to start attempting a backbend. These stretches are very effective on stretching out my back which is also helpful for slowly getting rid of my fear of backbends. Thank you soooo much Anna. You are extremely helpful and I will always support your videos and use them for help

A backbend is originally the easiest trick but I get what you mean when you fall back it can be scary but good luck! ☺️

I'm done with the 20 day challenge! Unfortunately, I cannot post pictures, but I have gone from a backbend with my hands and feet 1 foot and 6 inches apart to a teardrop backbend, grabbing my heels! Thank you so much!!!

I always had a problem with my back and my dream was to practice gymnastics it was tough but I did continue several days later my problem dissapeared and I could practice gymnastics with no pain. I'll try doing these excersices at home!Thanks for the tutorials and the tips!

(to note that i did gymnastics for four years and i lost my flexibility, so i may still have some of it)
day 1: holy… its only day one and i can do a standing backbend with zero pain. this is incredible.
day 2: my back is in pain, but it forces me to get better posture, i can now do a standing backbend and get up from it. my next goal is it be able to get a leaner backbend and to be able to kick over from it. i think this goal would take me around 2 or 3 days, but i will keep you updated!
day 3: the video is starting to get way more easier. my back hurts way less now, im starting to get up from my backbends easier, and another goal i want to set for myself is that i want to be able to do a front walkover. i am going to start practicing on my mat.
day 4: holy moly its so easy to do my backbend and getting up from it. whenever i got up from it, i used to need to step, but now i dont need to do that, and it looks much more neater.
day 5: im so trustworthy of myself and almost not afraid of backbends. i think im gonna try practice my kick over within the next two days!
day 6 and 7: rest days
day 8: i attempted a backbend kickover right after that and i was able to do it!!! AHHHH!! IM SO PROUD OF MYSELF! next goal is to be able to do a back walkover within three days!
day 9: rest day
day 10: my back hurts a whole lot, but im getting better!
days 11 and 12: rest days
day 13: getting way better and back is starting to hurt less!
Hey so i did these stretches for about like 3 days and nothing is sore is it because it’s working and I’m getting used too it?also Nothing really changed it still hurts too do a backbend should I find a bigger back stretching routine of hers or stay on this one because I really wanna be flexible one day but this is like the only thing that can get me flexible so it would mean a lot if u answered my question!

I do dance and gymnastics and my back has decreased in flexibility for some reason but idk how or why because I am doing Anna McNulty’s stretches every day but this new stretch challenge I feel is going to help a lot:) Love you Anna💞
(When I was doing them I increased in flexibility but when I took a break I decreased)

You have to continually work at it, the longer you stop the more you lose. So make sure you are stretching every day. Even when you have time off from dance and gymnastics. Same thing goes for strength. Breaks will usually make you lose your flexibility unless you are doing it at home and regularly. Hope this helps!

@@helenskating don’t push it. You never want it to hurt. Sore muscles are normal but not if you can’t stand up out of a chair. And you can always use things like biofreeze, tiger balm or icy hot for sore muscles. Baths with epsom salt are helpful too. But you should never be in so much pain that you need more than one or two days to rest. Also take your own time and pace, don’t compare yourself to Anna or your friend. Just compare yourself to yourself. Always aim to be better today than you were yesterday. You got this! 💚

anna does have videos for beginner back stretches! also tell your daughter that this is a great time to get flexible! it’s so much more easier to get a ton of flexibility at her age so she should take advantage of that. she just needs to make sure to listen to her body and not overstretch herself. :)

I used to be super flexible back in 2019 but because of covid my back and body's gotten super stiff so after this (I did a full body work out before this) my back felt a little achy but so much better same for my legs, ill take photos now and I'll update in 20 days!

I know this video was 5 months ago, but I recently started this stretch and i lost my streak, now i am at 4 days again and it’s already helping me. Haha yes I follow almost ALL of her back stretching routines, I now have a backbend, handstand, handstand-backbend, almost a chin stand, and so much more!

@@l0vieplaysaj151 Thank you! Dont worry, I'm not a beginner at this, I've just been working on my legs more than my back (got my middle and side splits!) I can do a backbend and a handstand-backbend currently!

Day1: my lower back is kinda hurting but nothing unbearable I'll write everyday to see my progress
Day2: today I can feel all the back muscles I trained yesterday and showed a little progress to back bending
Day3: I couldn't reach my head while doing seal stretching but I did touched my ponytail!!
