I love how on Anna'a tutorial's she's realistic and doesn't say, "GET THE SPLITS IN ONE DAY" like other youtubers. That way you don't get discouraged if you don't learn it quickly.

if you feel like you are not getting flexible then you need to think, do you think that your bones and ligaments can just stretch incredibly far in 2 days. no. can they over the coarse of 2-3 weeks. YES! it has been a little more that a month and my back and leg flexibility has improved SOO much. i didn't believe in myself but i found a comment that made me believe and maybe this one will help you believe.
Yesterday I began the routines (I’m doing full body as I’m hoping to become a contortionist one day) and I think I over stretched my stomach muscles as those need to stretch with your back spot be able to bend it as far as some do so I’ve learnt not to push to far, although I’m a very inpatient person so I try and push myself however I now see the results and have learnt to be patient. I took a break today and I’m going back to the routines tomorrow.

@@remirickard i was actually born flexible but I worked out more but some stretches I did was butterflies, pike stretches, a straddle but not all the way it will help you get into your splits, downward dog,seal stretch

Hi Anna, I just wanted to say thank you. It's been about 3 weeks since I started and I have improved well, not only that but you have inspired me to want to do cheer. I just feel like I would have had absolutely no interest at the slightest for cheer but for some reason I feel like I almost need too now. I originally came here because I wanted to be better at hide and seek than my small cousin, but now I think I want to do more.
During the seal stretch I realised I could see my feet over my head so I decided to just touch me feet to my head but I fully kicked myself in the face
Before I was very flexible but I didn't stretch for long time and lost my flexibility. But now thanks to anna mcnulty's stretches I am regaining my flexibility. Thank u so much anna 💓 ❤❤😊😊
I am going to get really flexible using anna's tutorials, and then I can ask my friends/ family if they want to stretch with me, and do normal stretches and then all of a sudden do a flexible stretch to freak them out 🤣

I'm gonna put everyday my results Day 1: just starting sooo yeah Day 2: I bended back soo far that I did the bridge Day 3: I started to see results Day 4: Nothing new by this day Day 5: I'm getting good at this Day 6: just surprised I'm actually following a tutorial that needs time Day 7: a week since I started, also I only did a bit of this exercises bc I already had gymnastics Day 8: it's was late but I still did the exercises Day 9: nothing new by now Day 10: so my ribs hurt but it's not from the excersises still did them all Day 11: I almost did the advanced knee bridge and 3 days left until 2 weeks Day 12: nothing new I guess Day 13: I accidentally skipped this day so I'm gonna do a day 15. Day 14: I already had gymnastics but I did a bit of these too Day 15: last day and my personal opinion is that this is great. It's not even 10 minutes per day and you get super flexible!
I've just came across you. I cannot thank you enough for the beginner moves. For someone who has such poor flexibility all the other routines I've seen from other TH-camrs are just to advanced which just end up deflating me from the start. Youre the best ❤

Figured I’d comment and keep this as a log: For context, I’m 5’10 approx 190 lbs, have always been stocky and not too flexible. Each day I do 20 mins of jump roping, 10 mins of abs then this stretching video. Day 1: I’m barely able to do the beginner stretches! My back is super tight, same with my hips. Day 2: My back is kind of sore from the previous session, going to take it easy. Day 3: My back isn’t so sore, feeling a little more flexible Day 4: I can actually do a bridge now! Can’t walk my feet or hands in yet, but I’m sure that’ll come by the end of this 2 week period. Day 5: I am now able to bend my neck backwards when doing the kick stretch. My bridge is getting better, and I’m able to touch my toes (new for me). Day 6: I’m not noticing much about my performance during the stretch/workout BUT my back is feeling loose during the day.
Also, have you got any tips to help with balancing on the over extended needle! I will keep trying but I struggle with balance! Tysm Anna! I love you and your videos ❤️

This video has helped me so much! It allowed me to get my back bend slightly deeper since I always had a pretty flexible back. Now I am continuing to do it to try and get my tear drop. I love anna so much. She has helped me get more flexible and has given me motivation too. I used to be the least flexible in everything I did; gymnastics, dance, acro. I couldn't do anything. But I've been consecutive and have improved greatly now whenever I need to stretch Infront of people I get told I have really flexible hamstrings. For an insight I never used to be able to do a bridge. Now I have a kind of needle and I have been following her stretch routines for just over a year.
I used to be VERY flexible and could do almost any pose. But then Quarantine started and I lost all motivation. Yesterday was my third day back at school and I tried doing a back bend again. I could do it but my legs were shaking at the max. I realized that I really wanted my flexibility back so here I am 😅

Please breath. Controlled Breathing helps the muscles to stretch farther. (Muscles need oxygen)

Before I was very flexible but I didn't stretch for long time and lost my flexibility. But now thanks to anna mcnulty's stretches I am regaining my flexibility. Thank u so much anna 💓 ❤❤😊😊
I am going to get really flexible using anna's tutorials, and then I can ask my friends/ family if they want to stretch with me, and do normal stretches and then all of a sudden do a flexible stretch to freak them out 🤣

I'm gonna put everyday my results
Day 1: just starting sooo yeah
Day 2: I bended back soo far that I did the bridge
Day 3: I started to see results
Day 4: Nothing new by this day
Day 5: I'm getting good at this
Day 6: just surprised I'm actually following a tutorial that needs time
Day 7: a week since I started, also I only did a bit of this exercises bc I already had gymnastics
Day 8: it's was late but I still did the exercises
Day 9: nothing new by now
Day 10: so my ribs hurt but it's not from the excersises still did them all
Day 11: I almost did the advanced knee bridge and 3 days left until 2 weeks
Day 12: nothing new I guess
Day 13: I accidentally skipped this day so I'm gonna do a day 15.
Day 14: I already had gymnastics but I did a bit of these too
Day 15: last day and my personal opinion is that this is great. It's not even 10 minutes per day and you get super flexible!

I've just came across you. I cannot thank you enough for the beginner moves. For someone who has such poor flexibility all the other routines I've seen from other TH-camrs are just to advanced which just end up deflating me from the start. Youre the best ❤
I think this is the one year that I will finally become flexible! Anna is so nice for not just saying, “you will get the splits in one day!” That’s not realistic at all, she says, it takes time, thank you Anna for being so nice and encouraging all the non flexible!

Figured I’d comment and keep this as a log:
For context, I’m 5’10 approx 190 lbs, have always been stocky and not too flexible. Each day I do 20 mins of jump roping, 10 mins of abs then this stretching video.
Day 1: I’m barely able to do the beginner stretches! My back is super tight, same with my hips.
Day 2: My back is kind of sore from the previous session, going to take it easy.
Day 3: My back isn’t so sore, feeling a little more flexible
Day 4: I can actually do a bridge now! Can’t walk my feet or hands in yet, but I’m sure that’ll come by the end of this 2 week period.
Day 5: I am now able to bend my neck backwards when doing the kick stretch. My bridge is getting better, and I’m able to touch my toes (new for me).
Day 6: I’m not noticing much about my performance during the stretch/workout BUT my back is feeling loose during the day.
Also, have you got any tips to help with balancing on the over extended needle! I will keep trying but I struggle with balance! Tysm Anna! I love you and your videos ❤️

To be fair, I think the moves at 4:06 and 7:36 (and possibly the one at 5:42) are far too challenging for a beginner.

If you're wondering, yes this works. I had such a stiff back and even struggled doing the beginner side and now I can already do a proper bridge.

This video has helped me so much! It allowed me to get my back bend slightly deeper since I always had a pretty flexible back. Now I am continuing to do it to try and get my tear drop. I already see improvements! Anna also helped me get my middle splits, left and right splits, and more flexibility! I love her channel so much! ❤❤❤
I love anna so much. She has helped me get more flexible and has given me motivation too. I used to be the least flexible in everything I did; gymnastics, dance, acro. I couldn't do anything. But I've been consecutive and have improved greatly now whenever I need to stretch Infront of people I get told I have really flexible hamstrings. For an insight I never used to be able to do a bridge. Now I have a kind of needle and I have been following her stretch routines for just over a year.

I used to be VERY flexible and could do almost any pose. But then Quarantine started and I lost all motivation. Yesterday was my third day back at school and I tried doing a back bend again. I could do it but my legs were shaking at the max. I realized that I really wanted my flexibility back so here I am 😅

Things to do before trying to get flexible
Number1:lose all my weight
I used to be super flexible but since corona came I couldn’t go back to my gymnastics class and all of my flexibility went. I’ll try doing this for a week and hopefully it helps!
I am in awe of how flexible you are. I'm 62, and my back is rigid, I estimate I can bend it 2 or 3 inches back at most. I will try your exercises, because any improvement will be a blessing. Thank you.
We want an intermediate version too. So am not like soo flexible as much as anna but can do more the the one shown in the beginner level. Who else agree?
