    I really want to get my middle splits, but I have naturally closed in hips so it’s a little harder to me, and I’m sure this routine will really help!

      The back of my knees are really hurt when I do the middle splits ,so that is a struggle for me .

    I did this everyday for 2 months and finally got my middle splits!!! I was SUPER not-flexible before (had a hard time reaching my toes) so u'll probably get this faster. But this was SO worth it!

    Anna McNulty is a legend, because I'm a boy it is still really hard for me but this stretch has helped me because I used to use 3 pillows but now I use one. Thanks to Anna McNulty, you slay queen

    I am keeping my progress here
    day1: I did the streches and tried the middle split with 4 pillows I felt a little easy so I removed 1 pillow I felt a little hard but I did it for 30sec and removed 1 more pillow it was so painful but I did it.
    Day2: I repeated same process I did better but still pains.
    Day3: This I touched the 2nd pillow.
    Day4: I removed 1 more pillow did not touched but.
    Day5: l did the streches 3 time with countdown I touched last pillow.
    Day6: I removed the last pillow .
    Day7: same as day 6
    Day8: my leg reached close to floor.
    Day9: l did it
    I am so happy right now because my gymnastics teacher told me that I am so fat and i can't make my body flexible . I told her that I will come next month with my flexible body I learnt middle split and next i will learn something . I am proud of my self . It's only because of u Anna thanks a lot and pls "don't judge a book by it's cover" plzz.

    Updating every day!
    Day 1:Kinda Hard But Practice makes perfect!
    Day2: It's becoming Easy for me These stretches are very helpful
    Day 3: didn't do it:( Very busy..
    Day 4: A little bit more and I will eventually get my middle splits thank you Anna!

      I can go low enough to reach the ground with my hands, but if i try to go all the way, i stop feeling it in my muscles/tendons and it starts feeling like my hip's coming out of its socket 🤕

    Anna,my 47 year old mom got her middle splits today thank to you Anna! I motivated her and she worked through it just 11 months considering she was the least flexible in our family 🥹
    Now she's close to front splits aswell!

    Dear Anna, you are a saviour. I recently got threatened that if I did not get into a flexible shape I would get kicked off my dance team 😞,I did this routine for a couple days and by day 4 I was flat in my middle splits and on the last pillow, I decided to continue and try to have no pillows and by day 10 i did it!     I'm a gymnast, but I've always been naturally inflexible. I'm on a team that's somewhere between recreational and competitive, but recently my team has gotten more competitive, so my limited flexibility just won't cut it anymore. So, I found this video.
    This is only my second day and I'm already down 1 pillow from the first day! Was NOT expecting that!!! Hopefully this routine will continue to work! Thank you so much!

      @@_Lisa_Lili_ I quit dance a few years ago because it was a sort of toxic environment for me. But, you definitely don't NEED middle splits for dance! Stretching in class yes, but actual dancing, no. Doing the middle splits is just a little trick tat can be incorporated into choreography, but definitely not essential.

      @@_Lisa_Lili_ competition dancer here as well! I completely agree with the other person who replied. If you dont have splits its okay. Just gives you an advantage with some things, although flexibility is very helpful with things like leaps, you can still be a good dancer without it.

    2 week middle split tracking! (This is personal progress for myself but it might help)
    🌸Disclaimer: I have never had my middle splits and I am using a wall
    Before the routine I'm about 8 inches above the ground
    Day 1: I dropped to 5 inches above the ground (also a tip I found is don't use your hands and arms as support like Anna has in the thumbnail but rather grab an object nearby for balance and let gravity do its thing ^^)

      The last tip is very good, but it also works if you put your head on the ground. (Kinda weird but it works)

    Day 1:- I got better in the normal split I can regularly do! This is amazing! Currently on 6 thin pillows. Hips don’t pain that much.

    Keeping my progress here!
    Day 1 : my leg hurts, used 3 pillows
    Day 2 : still hurts but worth it. Used 2 pillows now
    Day 3 : my legs kinda used to stretches now, not much pain like day 1 and 2. Still use 2 pillows
    Day 4 : not much pain! I tried to remove 1 pillow and surprisingly i can the touch pillow a bit! So close!
    Day 5 : still in the same position
    Day 6 : Skipped cuz im sick
    I lost motivations after beeing sick for a whole week but im gonna start again tomorrow!

      @@stateofcreativity2190 took me about 2 months to get my right and left leg splits and 3 months to get my middle (give or take). There is not exact number of days it will take because there are many factors to take into account : flexibility prior to starting stretching, everybody is built different so some people are naturally stiffer or naturally looser (stiffer people will take longer to get it), the amount of stretching you do daily/weekly, certain stretches you are doing and much more. Stick with Anna’s 15 minute daily stretch challenge that she posted I think January 2022 and you’ll have the, in no time!
      P.S, if you skip more that 3 days in between stretching you will lose a lot of progress and it will take much longer to receive your desired results. Try to limit the breaks to 1-2 days.

    I'm a dancer, so I've always stretched multiple times a week, and I always focused on stretches to help improve the elasticity of the hamstrings and hip flexers. I found this kind of funny, but without even trying to achieve my splits when I was younger, I decided to just try them one day, and I was surprised to find that I could do the normal splits, and straddle splits (also called splits in second, or side splits, depending on your art form). For normal splits, I can now do my left split, and an oversplit on my right side.
    It wasn't until last year that I thought I'd give the middle splits a go, and once again, I could slide into them with ease, and be pressed flat against the ground. I now sometimes just sit in the middle splits casually, because it's comfortable😹 you do have to get past the discomfort of your hips being opened outwards, but it's fine once you are use to that.
    That entire time, I was able to do the splits without knowing, and l was able to do them because I regularly stretched the hamstrings and hip flexers! Definitely do stretches that target those areas!!
    Just shows that's anything is possible if you work hard enough to achieve it!! ❤️

    I’m a ballet dancer and have both my right and left splits. I’m relatively close to my middle splits, but still have around half a foot to go. I’m going to do this routine every day until I get my middle splits!

    Progress to middle splits:
    Day 1: A small improvement, not close sadly
    Day 2: HUGE improvement, half way there
    Day 3:Normal improvement! Getting closer!!
    Day 4: staying on track, doing pretty good!
    Day 5: late stretching because of being busy, but keep getting closer and closer each time I stretch!
    Day 6: very small improvement.. getting better at butterfly stretch!
    Day 7: closer! I got a good butterfly stretch now! :)
    Day 8: starting to touch the ground!! Let’s go!!
    Day 9: SO CLOSE!! BIG IMPROVEMENT AGAIN!!
    Day 10: Im at least 1 inch or less than 1 inch off of the ground!!
    Day 11: I was super tired so i did the stretches poorly and I'm still about an inch off the ground
    Day 12: still kinda the same place but a tiny bit lower! :)
    Day 13: getting better!
    Day 14: did poorly since I couldn’t use a wall but I’m still in the same place!
    Day 15: I stretched but didn’t try my splits as busy
    Day 16: took a break
    Day 17: back at it.. but I have some progress to build again!
    So I forgot to update and I am right now! I quit if for a week, but went back at it.. and GOT THE SPLITS!! Every day I practice I now get stronger and stronger doing them.. Tysm Anna! If your reading this… NEVER GIVE UP!!! You got this!! (P.s: I got my front right splits from this, not middle. I am working on left, and I’m half way to my middles! :))

    My progress:
    Day 1- starting off w 5 pillows ofc!
    Day 2- A tiny bit easier to do the stretches, but still using 5 pillows,,,
    Day 3- I could feel improvement, i can almost change over to 4 pillows
    Day 4- Way closer to the 4th pillow!
    day 5- same as yesterday!
    Day 6- ONTO 4 PILLOWS NOWW!
    Day 7- Still on 4 pillows!

    I’m just going to use this routine everyday to try and get my middle splits in 1 -2 months or however long it take me, my flexibility is average but I don’t have any of my splits yet, my middle splits are pretty far off the ground and I’m in my late 20s for reference. I’ve started heels training so I want better flexibility to look more professional and cleaner when I dance. I’ll try to update everyday !

    THANK YOU !! I finally got my middle split !! All thanks to your video ! I've been doing your routine for about a year semi consistently, and today is the first day I finally got it ! Thought for so long I would never be able to have my middle split. Pushing through the pain each time was definitely worth it !     Hey so I’m doing this challenge for as long as it takes for me to get my middle splits (maybe over middle splits). I’m specifically doing this to try to get pretty toe touches for cheer (first competition on October 19th). Here we go!
    10/23/22- ✅ (one foot from ground, dog bed, squishmallow, and 2 pillows to hold me up 😂)
    10/24/22- ❌ (too busy)
    10/25/22- ✅ (10.5 inches from ground)
    10/26/22- ✅ (10 inches from ground)

    Day 1 - done!
    Day 2 - done!!
    Day 3 - done, it was a bit harder because my legs hurt!
    Day 4 - done! Feels a bit easier now!
    Day 5 - done, was really sore!
    Day 6 - done!
    Day 7 - done was really hard!
    Day 8 - I can now do the last stretch with only 2 pillows!
    Day 9 - done!
    Day 10 - done!
    Day 11 - was really sore doing these stretches but I must say I’ve improved a lot!
    Day 12 - skipped!
    Day 13 - skipped!
    Day 14 - was struggling A LOT but I still made it and I’m very very close to getting my splits!

    This routine is awesome!! I’ve done your other split routine videos to get my side splits and it only took a couple of weeks last summer to get there! This is my last year of cheer and I really wanted to get my middle splits. After doing this routine whenever I could (and a few of the last exercises in the video daily) I finally got to the ground today!! Thank you so much for this video, it really works! 💕

    Omg! I and a cheerleader have been doing Anna’s stretches for a while but before I didn’t think they work but I got desperate and tried it but o.m.g it works! I have been consistent and omg I am so much more flexible! Ty Anna!🎉

    So I’ve been trying to get my middle splits for a while now, and I’m fairly close so this video was just what I needed! I can say that after doing this routine for 4 days before I go to bed, I now have my middle splits! Thank you so much Ana! This video definitely helped and I think that everyone should try it!
    Edit: I’ve been doing this for around 3 weeks now and I can now easily do my middle splits! 🥳

    My progress:
    Day 1: Pretty average improvement.
    Day 2: Not bad, the same as yesterday.
    Day 3: MUCH better than yesterday, still quite far off
    Day 4: Not much improvement but looks good!
    Day 5: Good improvement!

    Seriously anna you help me so much because of you would my yoga teacher approached me to take part in a tournament I get front split sweet middle split is quite difficult and I have only 2 days but I think I'll do it just because of you

    Since 2020 I’ve been trying to get the splits I always stay consistent for 1-2 weeks then give up but I’ve kept a bit of flexibility I’ll reply to this comment if I don’t give up this time

      Is it normal to feel like you are getting less flexible offer time instead of improving the middle splits?

      @@cocovalentine770 that's ok. The same happens to me. But if you warm up a bit before doing the middle splits after a long time off stretching, you might get them even better)

      @@cocovalentine770 that's what happened to me with my side splits but then I used advanced stretching - like the oversplits which helped me get mmore flexible

    wow Anna your routines get better and better each time! I've been using your same middle splits routine from over a year ago now because I loved it so much but I think I've got a new favourite now!     Day 3:a bit of pains nearly to the ground!
    Day 4: had to use the same pillow but I have seen improvement!
    Day 5:skipped
    Day 6:so far so good I have been improving! And I only used 1 flat
    pillow!
    Day 8: (I forgot to tell u how I was the other day) I had a Bit more Improvement but I still used flat 1 pillow.
    Day 9: I am seeing little bit of Improvement! I didn't use any pillows(I was to laxy to get the flat pillow)
    Day 10: A bit of progress but not to the ground yet! (I still used 1 pillow)
    Day 11:I have seen a bit of progress but not on the ground yet!
    Day 12: Definitely have seen improvement! But I still sued 1 pillow!
    Day 13: I am super close to my flat pillow but still used it I am getting closer!
    Day 14:sadly haven't seen progress but will never give up! (still 1 flat pillow)
    Day 15: seen a bit of progress still not on the ground.
    Day 16: I can see a massive improvement! But still used 1 pillow.
    Day 17:I'm really disappointed I only see a bit of progress I'm Still on 1 pillow feel like giving up but I'm Not going to.
    Day 18: seeing a bit improvement but not alot still used 1 pillow.
    Day 19: I am so mad an disappointed I'm Not improving by an inch I'm still on my flat pillow 😔
    Day 20: I'm getting closer to touch my flat pillow!
    Day 21: haven't touched the flat pillow yet but I will never give up!
    Day 22:haven't touched the flat pillow but I can see progress with my straddle 😃
    Day 23: I have seen so much progress from my wall split! And nearly touched my flat pillow!
    Day 24 :skipped
    Day 25: close to the flat pillow but not touching it.
    Day 26: no progress
    Day 27: no progress
    Day 28 : no PROGRESS
    Day 29: I have seen alot of progress!
    Day 30: To be honest I am seeing progress.( Still 1 pillow)
    Day 31: sadly I don't think I'm seeing any progress (I do 2 stretch vids from anna)
    Day 32:skipped
    Day 33:skipped
    Day 34:I'm seeing improvement on my straddle and middle splits! (still haven't touched the flat pillow though)
    Day 35: I am seeing alot of progress! (haven't touched the pillow)

      I think you should take rest days. Rest is an important part of the process

    I’m so excited to try this. I have always wanted to do the middle splits. I take gymnastics class and everything I can to the bridge I can do a backbend. I can do a cart wheel one in a cart wheel and a lot more but just not a split!!
