Great how they showed Renfroe! He also made a tremendous throw against the Rays which led to the Red Sox to win the game!
This is hardest throws, not best ones, but that was an amazing throw.

Thats a good throw by Acuna but a great play by Riley to move up the line and play it on the one hop instead of letting it bounce again and making him pick it.

It’s allowed under certain circumstances…he’s a very smart catcher. Gotta love it.

He has a shoulder injury so they moved pham to short while tatis was out and when tatis came back pham was just the better option at short considering tatis wasnt 100% to play (atleast thats how i saw it)

I firmly believe that MLB doesn’t follow the blue jays at all. Lourdes Gurriel lead all outfielders in outfield assists and I find it hard to believe that not a single one of his cannon throws made this list.
Realmuto really saved that play by completely covering home plate.

What’s an average outfielder’s velo? A lot of these don’t even seem like full power, imagine them on the mound.. or even a good pitcher in deep right field. (Ichiro)

What’s crazy also is the catchers on this one. At 1:50 even though the runner was safe at second to have the thought immediately after a huge play to fire to second before I could blink. You get lost at plays at the plate as a viewer

It’s about arm strength
Throwing it on a hop while staying on a line is way better than rainbowing it to them in the air. It was the perfect play for the situation, he had no play at home, hitting the cut is the right option there.

I would be different if he intentionally moved into the baseline, but he had to move to the ball. That's completely within the rules.

the velocity is measured when the ball leaves the players hand, not when it reaches its target. So it is right

A shame only one of Renfroes throws was above 94. His arm saved a bunch of games for Boston and squeaked them into the playoffs.

A decent outfielder should be able to throw a strike from beyond his default depth fielding position
