5:48 I dont know how he made that throw. He was bent over backwards and still made a strong and accurate throw. There is a reason he is now a gold glover.
@@jesusnavarro5113 wait... from 2013 -2020 he had a .282 with a .322 OBP, now that's not fantastic, but for a light hitting, great glove shortstop? I take that every day of the week
Stuff like this is what makes baseball the best team sport in the country. I played baseball all the way through Pee-Wee to college and have played both men's baseball and softball ever since. At 63 I pay for it more the next morning, especially in my right shoulder and elbow, but I won't stop playing until I can no longer make the throw from third to first. People who find baseball boring have never played the sport and have no appreciation whatsoever for just how difficult the sport is to master. It is far more difficult to master than either football OR basketball.
According to the new metric system developed by MLB Javier Baez is THE best infielder in MLB. Something for the cubs fans to be happy about this off-season. El Mago 🔥

It wasn't a force-out situation so the shortstop had to apply the tag. If he were to throw it directly to the shortstop he'd have had to thrown it to the side of the runner (because if he hit the runner they would be save since they weren't deviating out of the basepath) making the tag harder to apply.
8:20 You should have shown that the play was overturned and that was in fact a double play (Hosmer out at first) 1st overtuned play in WS history and it might have decided the final outcome of the game/serie.

Man, I love the energy Brandon Phillips brought. Hated seeing him leave Cincy
@puff daddy they definitely could’ve just done like 60% of this video of Brandon Phillips plays but he made them look too easy a lot of the time!
So did I and I'm a Cardinals fan
The JP Crawford play is one of the most unbelievable things I’ve ever seen in any sporting competition ever
time stamp?

You cannot tell me that Simba only made ONE of the best plays of the decade.
there must be a simmons filter on because you could fill this whole highlight reel with simba plays that are better than all of them
And let's not forget the Fletch/Simba double play that was unreal. Wasted 8 minutes of my life.
There's a 25 minute video of Simmon's highlights that is awesome. One of the best defensive shortstops of all time.
Like seriously! The play where he slipped and was sitting on the ground and threw out the Washington runner.
one of the best defensive shortstops of all time and deserves more than one clip
6-4-3 double plays are amongst the most beautiful things of baseball 👏🏽👏🏽 love to see them
7:00 If I tried that throw they'd be pulling the ball out of the third base dugout.
It wasn't behind the back idk how you would get it into the third base dugout
@@ommy7672 ikr I was confused as well
I’m not an avid follower of baseball in general but baseball highlights are top tier for sure!
I love these plays. Really show you how high-level pro sports is.

Wrong
2:12 what a great bit of commentary
I’m twisting my tongue if I attempt that especially live
Love that throw by Joey Votto! Just perfect
That 2nd one was some "Matrix" stuff! Slapping the ball to the 2nd baseman! 😲 😮😎
Never get sick of that Crawford play. No idea how he made that throw.
Dat dude was my favorite dude to watch. I loved him
Now these are some great plays I can watch for a day
1:12 I think he took his foot off the bag before catching the ball...
Yup if you pause at 0:58 or 1:07 its very clearly off the bag
@@R3adybreck I think there was no review yet on the year this happened, if I'm not mistaken.

It doesn’t matter. There’s a rule called the “neighborhood rule” that allows this to still be a double play.

Needs more Andrelton! Also I love that they included the Rizzo play where it wasn't even an out.
Seriously, that double play he started by flipping the ball from his glove through his legs was one of the most outstanding things I've ever seen
It was an out. They discussed it and called it an out but the runner on first got to advance to second since he went into the stands.
6:53 coolest one
Crazy to see A’s players on here, seeing that they’re putting in all that effort for like 8 bucks an hour. Makes you appreciate them even more
Literally have no clue how JD held onto those two catches, THANK YOU JOSH
