    Hi Alex- learning so much from your channel
    If I’m looking to actual graduate degree programs, and interested in data analyst- is that going to be found more in the data science section like ms or ma business analytics? Usually there hasn’t really been a ms in data analytics
    If looking to get an actual degree what is the best title to look for within data analytics
    Thanks in advance

    I would like to include IBM machine learning. I have taken that and would say that is also an excellent course. It contains machine leaning and deep learning as every other course. The unique feature of this is, it deals with Time series forecasting and even helped me complete a project I was working on.

    Would you say the skills one would learn from as a Data Analyst are transferable to Machine Learning? I'll be starting a Data Analysis BSc. this year, wondering what kind of careers might additionally be available to me.

    • @AlexTheAnalyst
      @AlexTheAnalyst  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think Machine Learning is one skill most Data Analysts won’t use - that’s mostly Data Scientist. If you want to make that transition in the future this is a great skill to know! I think if you know Python well it’s pretty transferable to ML, but it’s definitely a different thought process and methodology.

    Only after doing some Machine Learning projects, I now understand the importance of Data Cleaning. No Clean data No Machine Learning.
    DataCamp is awesome, especially their projects section for Machine Learning is a gold mine. I badly wanted to do Andrew NG's ML course in Coursera but too bad its not implemented in Python :(

    • @AlexTheAnalyst
      @AlexTheAnalyst  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey Veronica! There's a long answer to that (maybe I'll save that for a future video lol), but in short I really just didn't enjoy it as much as I did other things. I really like the ETL/Data Engineering side of things more an if I am going to change careers I would probably go in that direction. So I thought it was fascinating and really interesting, but just not something I personally wanted to do long term. I did learn a lot about data pipelines and ETL through these too though which I think helps with both data science and data engineering. That's it in essence :)
