  • In my journey to become a machine learning software engineer, I took many free online machine learning courses to learn the fundamentals, deep learning, and popular ML libraries. In this video, I describe my three favorite courses for that most impacted my career (links below).
    Chapters:
    0:00 - Intro
    0:48 - Learning the Foundations
    4:43 - Practical ML Frameworks
    6:57 - Putting ML Skills to Practice
    10:17 - The Journey Ahead
    Links to the free courses:

    Hi Charles.... Thanks for these informations. I would like to ask some questions and will be glad if I get a response.
    (1) Completion of these certificates will make me prepare for an ML engineer role with my Kaggle experience ? Because the route is very quick to becoming an ML engineer (my thought)?
    (2) They say it isn't necessary to learn ML if you want to specialize in DL. Is that correct? Because my objective is DL.
    (3) What books do you recommend for both ML and DL - "Beginner", "Intermediate" and "Advanced".
    Thanks for your swift response 🤞🏾

    • @CharlesWeill
      @CharlesWeill  2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Here's how I do it. If the professor is writing on a whiteboard/blackboard, I just write down in my notes what they write. If the class is online, I don't take notes. The most important thing is doing the assignments, and just getting the experience of training ML models.

    Hello! I'm currently a high school student that's interested in learning machine learning. I have a pretty strong python foundation, mainly doing web scraping (got me interested in data -> and now machine learning) I don't mind self studying the math before taking the first course, but just what/how much calcalus and linear algebra would I need to cover? My main resource for learning math so far has always been Khan academy. Any answerers are appreciated.

    • @CharlesWeill

      It really depends on a lot of factors. If you can already code and are comfortable with some of the math, the 3-6 months. If you need to learn to code add another 3-6 months. For a complete beginner (no coding or math background), I'd say 2-4 years of full-time work effort, assuming high school level credentials.
