It's refreshing, to see someone who isn't doing "van life" in a $150k+ custom van. This method is much more attainable, and I think it will inspire more people to try this.
"Van life" is a trap. It's a good way to waste years attaining no marketable skills and a great way to find yourself alone in the middle of nowhere with nobody to hear you scream.
I can't put into word how artistically beautiful each of your videos are, they almost give off a sense of euphoria watch. I feel like most TH-camr have a generic sense to their videos but Natalie put such great care and detail into each of hers. From a Photographers point of view you can see just how much time and Love goes into each and every clip. She not only an amazing filmmaker but an amazing story teller, and in a lot of aspects that even more important.
Hi Natalie, I’m a dad to a 14 year daughter who you have inspired to make videos. Thank you for being authentic and genuine in your videos. Thanks for being you. I wish you the best with van life. If you are ever in the Dallas area I’m sure Sofia (my daughter) would love to say hi.
Natalie, your videos have the distinct ability to transport me into a whole new world. Like I actually forget everything in my real life, and am completely immersed. Such an epic and beautifully made film. You have such a talent for filmmaking! I'm glad to see that you found a van and am absolutely hyped for the new Borderless series! Honestly, sometimes I daydream what it would be like to live in a van for a year so this is gonna be fun to watch through your experience :D
I am deep into my hunt for a van. None of my family understands my desire to get out of my home town again except my Dad. You spoke every thought I have tried to get out for the last year and a half.
into the wild was my inspiration to start youtube, i cant wait for this series, got to spend a week in a van across canada this past summer. Keep on going Natalie, this was awesome
Into the wild is about an over privileged kid who gave up a life 99% of the world would want and thought he knew better than the locals in dealing with the back country in Alaska to only starve to death close to a supply station. Anyone who glamorizes this stupid misses the true meaning of the book, it is not about the unknown and what comes next. Its about respecting your discoveries and following the ways of area while in a new area. His death was preventable and his stupidity has acted as a guide for others to follow in his footsteps and die in that same bus. I grew up less than 10 mins away from this kid, everyone says it was a tale of stupidity
THIS is the PRIME example of Quality over Quantity when it comes to TH-cam, or honestly just videos and projects in general. The waiting time for a new upload is always worth it.
Seeing Natalie's IG stories about how she's doing or how she's apologizing because she haven't uploaded for awhile now but y'all know it's worth watching her videos when it drops. It's no ordinary video but a masterpiece. Who else is excited for the rest of the "Borderless" series?
You are one of the most talented filmmaker I’ve ever seen. I think you need to post more often because your videos are making difference in other people’s life. I am learning a lot from your videos in terms of film making. Keep it up
I did the same thing for only 8 months and honestly it was an amazing experience. Like you I was broke but when I hit the road my family and I realized that time and experiences are priceless and having less worrying was pretty epic too.

You’ve got no idea how long I’ve been waiting for this, your each work -which is artwork, honestly- is what has been giving me a certain motive to just, keep going you know? You capture life’s smallest things and situations in such a beautiful way, you showcase and highlight the parts of it we fail to notice at times. I feel lucky to have found your channel and to be able to watch your videos and witness such a thing. You’re seriously talented and one of the reasons I decided to keep on editing for the past three years. You’re admirable, please never give up on this talent of yours. You’re one in a million! I wish you everything good in life Natalie, we’re all proud of you and I truly hope you achieve and have everything you want to have in your hands. Once again congratulations for your work, this is insanely good 🤍🤍
i saw your van renovation video about a month ago when i began to work on my van and i immediately subscribed bc i loved the video and your whole vibe in general. i was feeling alone and confused about my feelings towards moving away and everything that my future holds and i turned to your videos and they really helped. i feel like i relate to so many things you said and sorry if that sounds cliche but it just is, i don't know if maybe a lot of people who I've never met think like that as well but ive just never heard a stranger speak my thoughts the way you did in your videos, if that makes sense. ive never related to a stranger on a screen as much as you, and i dont feel understood by anyone (besides one person) but i feel like you understand somehow, a stranger on a screen. i especially enjoyed listening to your explanation on why you want to live in a van and i can definitely relate to some of the reasons, i really felt when you said "im sure these thoughts will unravel a bit more like during van life and everything but i just know as of right now i need to get the flip out of my parents house" because that's just how i feel like ive literally told my friend something just like that and when you said it in this video i was like EXACTLY, I NEED TO FRICKIN LEAVE!! anyways sorry if this is a weird comment but i just wanted to thank you for putting me in a better mood and to tell you that your videos are amazing, i really admire the videography and editing. i hope you get to read this :)
it's crazy that you mentioned Into the Wild as being one of the things that inspired you because we are reading that book in class right now, and throughout this whole video, it was reminding me of your experience. Loving what you are doing as always and can't wait to see more!
Okay. So I’m a grown man (34) and my husband/partner and I (along with our two year old daughter) all travel around in a van and document here on TH-cam. I randomly found your channel from this video snd I’m so blown away. I mean, I’ve never seen anything like this. I’m in awe and a little jealous and can’t wait to see what you create. Thank you for reminding me what good storytelling can and should look like. I so so appreciate it.
Natalie's skill and message truly transcends all age groups and walks of life. I usually am made sad or jealous by the success of others (small minded, I know) but something about Natalie's authenticity is truly infectious. I feel genuinely inspired more than I have in a long time, such that I've actually taken my camera out of storage and gotten back into filmmaking. I became so distracted and discouraged by the dystopian algorithms and "influencer" lifestyles that it made me lose sight of what I loved so much about filmmaking to begin with. Her story about not caring about money, uploading regularly, or worrying about copyright, or the algorithm or monetization is really refreshing. I guess it's the age old "build it and they will come."
The way she's using stuffs the colours, environment and everything uff hitting the vibe bro not only it's just story it's become so much inspirable & ah all vintage smell rounding around me
I cried my eyes out when you were talking about when you got the van. This video is so liberating and I have these strong feelings of being so proud of you even though I don’t know you personally. Keep up this video making it is honestly amazing
It is nice to see a community being this supportive, but I genuinely worried with this choice. Yes, her parents work all their lives, but that is kinda what enabled her to even exist. An actual home and a proper life is expensive, and living in a van is not a good thing for resume. If you ever want a change. Is she going to live rest of her life in a van? And isnt it weird van life become an alternative to having an actual house? Like there is a bigger problem under it, and this just solves a symptom?
@@randomdude8202 she is just doing it for fun. If she goes to college i am pretty sure she is going to do arts, a degree which really doesn't get you any good Job. Imo, she is doing the right thing by focusing on youtube and her other businesses (patreon, merch, sponsorships, freelancing her services, maybe get a minimum wage job? ). She just needs to work on getting her channel monetized. She can literally live with her parents until 22 and save enough money, invest and then move out of her parents house. Atleast this way she won't end up in college debt. The reason why i am saying she will defenitely choose an arts degree and not some other degree such as business is because I have seen her complain about school in many of her videos. It is something that she absolutely hates and i think she is not meant for school either.
It is so awkward when people give me that look like "you're a loser" when they learn I quit my job and moved into a van lol. As if it wasn't completely my choice and I saved tens of thousands in preparation for it. A massive part of this process is taking a leap of faith and forgetting what society thinks. It's a very vulnerable but rewarding position to be in.
This TH-cam channel is one of the best things out there. Thank you, algorithm, you nailed it this time. Congratulations for this Natalie. Beautifully done, pure soul
I am taking this video as a sign. I have savings stashed elsewhere for this exact reason and I've been debating whether or not I've been wanting to do it or if it was really worth my time and seeing this video proves that yes, it is and I should go for it. Eventually, I'll get there and things will be okay and I'll finally be able to start living and for this video and for you, Natalie, I have to thank. Your videos are truly so inspiring and it feels so comforting to watch, like reconnecting with an old friend. Am excited for the series! ^^
TH-cam's algorithm showed me your "I became everything I ever wanted" video, and then I binged your entire channel. Regretted for not finding you earlier .And waited for your next upload, which somehow felt like an eternity. But totally worth the wait. You never disappoint. You just never will. YOU GO GIRL!!!!
your videos bring me such a sense of comfort and safeness. the way you edit and the music you choose just puts me in a place where i feel like time has paused and in this moment nothing can go wrong. i really appreciate you for the effort you put into your videos so thank you for being you
Loved your story, and really happy to see somebody actually being motivated with Into the wild. It did some effect on me as well, but not sure when will I ever give up what holds me back from living - into the wild, on my own to be better for own good and also for people around me. You actually put the whole dream into reality. its true when Christopher said "Happiness only real when shared" Thank you for sharing your journey of being - Borderless :)
WELCOME BACK, NATALIE. Congratulations on having a van (Spiffy) and finally releasing this video with so much hard work. Thank you for making my day as always!
You are an unbelievably good storyteller. I’m in the process of looking for a campervan myself and this is only making me more excited. Awesome video, can’t wait for more!!
Fell asleep watching TH-cam videos around midnight, woke up for some reason at 3:30AM and your video was on my recommendation since I’ve been watching Van videos, and now it’s 4:14AM for me and I’m binge watching your videos, I’m in my mid 30s, and you’re an inspiration, thank you.
Your genuinely one of the most incredible filmmakers, not only on this platform but in general. You get incredible angles, perfect editing and choice of music, stunning shots where each one adds to the story, and in general an amazing ability to captivate and transport anyone watching. I hope you realise how impressive it all is ♥️
yet another cinematic masterpiece. your work NEVER fails to amaze me natalie!! after all, your last video was the very thing that got me into film and inspired me to start producing works of my own. thanks for putting so much effort into putting this stuff out here for people to enjoy and marvel over
i can't even explain how happy i am to see natalie happy and living out her dreams. this girl has worked so hard and i cant wait for the rest of the series!!
I saved your videos for cinematography inspiration. 1:05 gave me goosebumps. For anyone that CANNOT or HAS NOT found that clarity of your passion... it's all good. That moment of clarity finally happened for me at age 25 after I shattered my leg while snowboarding this year. Everyone told me to quit and be thankful I can walk. Instead: I'm selling all of my possesions, bought an SUV to probably use as a house lol, and pursuing snowboarding instructing.
I love your story! It's so dope to see a young person so drawn towards the unconventional because it feels right, and totally going for it. Get it girl, you're a huge inspiration!
Your editing is beyond amazing. You are so good at telling a story it's insane. You definitely inspire me to do better whenever I wanna do more documentary type videos. The first one I did is so bad haha but hey! Now I have an artist to look up to! :) Keep up the amazing work Natalie!
You are honestly one of the most talented, creative minds I have ever ever seen. I can't wait to see how your passions develop further in future!! Also cannot wait to watch this series!
I’m in the middle of a night shift at work and I stopped, unplugged my phone and sat down to watch this. you’re such an inspiration. I look forward to your videos
I've seen countless van-travel videos but your films are pretty unique and this is precisely what I'm looking forward to seeing in your story. Keep doing it and good luck. The van looks awesome, by the way.
I like your style and the creative path you take the viewer on. Its always fun for me to find people who do things differently and make it their own. I look forward to your next video! Oh and I watched the video "I became everything I wanted"...I get your point of view and share the same sentiments as well. You seem like a genuine human being who just wants to create and show it to those who like watching things that speak to them. Just my opinion, Hope all is well!
@@Fishylocker Not jealous at all. I’m older and content with my life and means. I’m just recognizing that her innate talent is being underwritten by the support her family can provide to her. I have no doubt she has earned money on her own and has been taught to earn, save and make choices on purchases-those lessons are typically taught by families with means. But for someone that 1) professes to have chronic, near-crippling anxiety, 2) has a steady supply of money to spend at Starbucks, and 3) Apple laptops and fantastic camera equipment she is certainly postured to explore with freedom more so than many of her peers. That was my point.
had to live in my Jeep when I was 18 and even though it was more of homelessness, I realized how awesome a "nomadic" lifestyle can be for you happiness in general. Everyone should give it a shot even if it's only for a week/month.
You are actually living my dream! i just cant get out of the daily circle of working and sleeping. really hope to break out of this circle one day and go for iT! Proud of you and everyone who was able to do it :)
you’ve done exactly what you’ve been watching your whole life you’ve made the step an this is motivating a lot of people including myself thank you for this masterpiece of videography.
Only 2 minutes in and i have to say this is such an incredibly well put together video. Your skills in editing and videography make me feel like im watching a feature film about one of my biggest passions, Van life.
Your videos feel like a movie and i know whenever i see a new upload i will be seeing high quality content that you’ve spent an enormous time planning and making
Hey Natalie, I hope that you see this. I am deeply inspired by your work. I related to your situation with your parents, and I wish that I had the bravery to escape it all. I am so excited for your new series and so stoked to listen to your stories.
Watching this made me tear up so much and make my heart soar. This already looks like such an incredible and enlightening experience. Hype for Borderless. This is a dream of mine as well!
I just watched the last episode of borderless and I’m back to watch it start to finish. Thank you Natalie for making these films and sharing them with the world, you have such a talent and I can’t wait to see what you do with it next ❤
Your storytelling skills are incredible, and the addition of the bloopers at the end, sailor's mouth and all, are just the icing on the cake. Good luck, be safe, and enjoy yourself. You're starting a whole new adventure (:
Im not really the emotional type, but your videos dor some reason always give me happy tears. Just the pure excitement for the future you give me is so dope
Awesome! I love the way you put this video together! I’m also on a journey like yours but I’m doing mine all on an E-bike. I just began my adventure on my 40th birthday Sept 4th. So far it’s been an incredible experience and in two weeks I’m going to start pedaling from Oxnard, Ca to San Diego and from there all the way to Oregon all along the coast. One challenging but also rewarding thing I’ve been doing is finding my own style on how to document this. I’ve watched a lot of van life content but I have to say yours is my favorite so thank you for the inspiration to expand my content horizons. Maybe I’ll see you out on the road one of these day🤙👍🚴⛺️
I mean, Natalie’s life it’s really my dream. What she did and her motivation is beyond most of us. I have been watching her video for a long long time. Every videos were improved, and this one. I can’t wait to see her next video. Watching her video, it just feel so peaceful, like looking at mirror of myself. But one thing that will always be different, that is I have my way to live this world. With such big hope on my shoulder and my family want me become a what they can proud of being. But I can’t live up their desire or mine. I am not strong enough. Actually I don’t have a friend. So sometimes I really envy Natalie and Jared. But now I am moving somewhere better, and keep pursuing my dream. I realize this road is destined lonely. So I really appreciate that Natalie’s video brings what my missed. I hope I can be a friend with her, someday I hope.
Omgg, I've had this playlist saved for a while, and i just got the opportunity to watch it. This is one of the most iconic videos I've watched on youtube. I'm really so excited. Your videos are amazing, and inspiring❤
Yayyy! So proud of YOU! I remember watching a video of yours over a year ago and you were talking about wanting to do this. You're amazing Nat, take care and have fun! Sending love from Western Australia! :)
Been watching your channel for a while. You probably know it already but you have talent when it comes to story telling. Your ideas when it comes to editing are also amazing. I hope you will someday do some big documentaries. I would love to watch them. All the best and keep it up Natalie. See you in the next one.
Wow, just discovered your channel. Your storytelleing, filmmaking and editing skills are absolutely amazing 🙏🏽❤️ I wanna go and live in a van soon too, so this video definitely resonates 🌈
The videography is esthetically and simply amazing. Love the shared lesson also about being resentful from materialism and the world portray it in full saturation that everyone of us are being molded with that ideology
Congrats I’m so happy for you! I can’t wait to live in a van and live life to the fullest, of course I try my best to do so now but it’s just something about the van life style that seems legendary
This is really inspirational Natalie. Thank you for taking us with you on your life journey. I really think it makes a lot of people happier and relate by seeing your life experience. I wish you the best in this new life chapter of yours ! PS : Your editing is soooo amazing ^^
damn you never fail to make me feel some type of way. I've been feeling like trash the whole day because of my overthinking about stuff, but this video really made me smile and want to go on an adventure or smth and just enjoy the little things i guess
The whole style of this video makes me think of Coniferous forests & I'm loving EVERY part of it, the storytelling & editing are incredibly phenomenal, felt EVERY part about your view on materialism & how you felt it was way too overvalued while growing up, that's what inspired my move too!!
Welcome back to TH-cam, Natalie! We're doing the exact same thing for pretty much the same reasons. Best of luck in your travels and maybe we'll cross paths one day! :)

You actually put the whole dream into reality. its true when Christopher said "Happiness only real when shared"
Thank you for sharing your journey of being - Borderless :)
the editing is so sick. not sure if i'm into the whole vanlife thing but it's always nice to see someone enjoying what they do
Very excited to see this series
dualex! :) (Y)
Man. You are so good at this.
That's the tweet. 📌
Also cannot wait to watch this series!
gotta watch it a few more times to appreciate all the attention to detail, but already love this series so much :)
Just my opinion, Hope all is well!
why i feel like there's a big production behind this video? the editing, the photography... is it just talent?
Yes
Look at her parent’s house…girl is sitting on her family’s money. There’s the ‘big’ you’re seeing.
@@TheDude1764 someone's jealous 👀
@@TheDude1764 and?
YESSSS SHE'S BACK
ASTELIC WOW HELLO
had to live in my Jeep when I was 18 and even though it was more of homelessness, I realized how awesome a "nomadic" lifestyle can be for you happiness in general. Everyone should give it a shot even if it's only for a week/month.
I am amazed about the quality of your storytelling and filmmaking skills! Watched the whole video and seemed like just 2 minutes passed!
Excited to see how this series plays out :) proud of ya!!!
You are actually living my dream!
i just cant get out of the daily circle of working and sleeping.
really hope to break out of this circle one day and go for iT!
Proud of you and everyone who was able to do it :)
so excited for you and proud of everything you accomplished
you’ve done exactly what you’ve been watching your whole life you’ve made the step an this is motivating a lot of people including myself thank you for this masterpiece of videography.
This is gonna be an absolutely incredible series that will leave a mark on the internet. LETS GO BORDERLESS!!!
O momento de vídeo novo da Natalie chegou 😍
Simmmmm
Espero que ela não demore pra postar o próximo k
kkkk do nada mais brs por aqui
“I just know as of right now I need to GET THE FUCK out of my parents house.”
I resonate with this so much
Im not really the emotional type, but your videos dor some reason always give me happy tears.
Maybe I’ll see you out on the road one of these day🤙👍🚴⛺️
You are a genius. Loved the storytelling and the editing and this is my life dream too, to ride and live in a van.
At the end is all about us. If you go where your feelings belong, it will be the right way.
This feels exactly like something that you would do and it gives me hope that I might be able to follow my own dreams one day :)
I like your creative editing skills. It makes the content more substance and not boring.
Omgg, I've had this playlist saved for a while, and i just got the opportunity to watch it.
This is one of the most iconic videos I've watched on youtube.

Your film making skills are out of this world
Been watching your channel for a while. You probably know it already but you have talent when it comes to story telling. Your ideas when it comes to editing are also amazing. I hope you will someday do some big documentaries. I would love to watch them. All the best and keep it up Natalie. See you in the next one.
i’ve always wanted to live in a van and to see you do it is honestly so awesome i think this is totally you
Wow, just discovered your channel. Your storytelleing, filmmaking and editing skills are absolutely amazing 🙏🏽❤️ I wanna go and live in a van soon too, so this video definitely resonates 🌈
This video is incredible. Thank you for inspiring people like me every day
The videography is esthetically and simply amazing. Love the shared lesson also about being resentful from materialism and the world portray it in full saturation that everyone of us are being molded with that ideology
Your editing and storytelling is next level. You’re ready for an indie feature.
Congrats I’m so happy for you! I can’t wait to live in a van and live life to the fullest, of course I try my best to do so now but it’s just something about the van life style that seems legendary
Welcome back , you are awesome by the way ✨🤍
Omg you guys don't even understand how I've missed her videos her content is always top knotch 👌...van life wow
The filmmaking quality, cinematography, editing etc in your videos is just epic. Saying well done would do it justice

I wish you the best in this new life chapter of yours !
PS : Your editing is soooo amazing ^^
damn you never fail to make me feel some type of way. I've been feeling like trash the whole day because of my overthinking about stuff, but this video really made me smile and want to go on an adventure or smth and just enjoy the little things i guess
this was amazing natalie🔥 can’t wait for the rest of the series
I knew I can find you here, hey Luis again 🤣
@@damianstech1502 this is like the 10th time this week😂
@@luisfilms Yeah, that's crazy
The whole style of this video makes me think of Coniferous forests & I'm loving EVERY part of it, the storytelling & editing are incredibly phenomenal, felt EVERY part about your view on materialism & how you felt it was way too overvalued while growing up, that's what inspired my move too!!
You have my heart after this! The bravery of not knowing but doing it anyways. I love it! Good for you!
Literally so so beyond Proud of you
Welcome back to TH-cam, Natalie! We're doing the exact same thing for pretty much the same reasons. Best of luck in your travels and maybe we'll cross paths one day! :)
You are living my dream!
This was beautifully made!! 10/10
Sharing such a personal story, with all your creativity... You are a true artist! 😄
Can't w8 for a new video
Check your export settings, because frame rate was all over the place... Maybe export in 30 or 24 FPS so it stays consistent 😁
I did this when I was 23 and been traveling doing uber/doordash since from Florida, and in Oregon now. A great way to enjoy this place we were gifted with earth.
The details of your cinematography to tell the story is seriously inspiring! Super creative and unique.
