Suddenly I’m reminded of how much depth there actually is to living outside of my own head, and that I’ve been swimming in shallow waters because I’m faced to the sand instead of the ocean. I should turn around.
God I love YT recommendations sometimes. I'd never seen anything from you but all I can say is this was art honestly - a true hidden gem amongst all the meaningless content on the site
this is absolutely intoxicating. this feels like a story that tells itself, and that’s the most magical part about your abilities. i forgot i was watching someone’s creation. i felt like a passenger in the car. and happy to be there. thank you for this
Not only is this the cutest, most romantic, and most intimate video I've discovered on YT in a long time. It also contains so much wisdom, truth and perspectives about life that I wish I could have recognized when I was your age. It's so nice to witness your journey. Thank you. ❤️
i don't know if this was purposeful, but the difference between camera qualities (phone camera, camera, drone footage) really made this video exactly what i wanted it to be. it wasn't all high resolution footage, it was honest, sometimes shakey, in and out of focus. the high quality drone footage of landscapes almost made it easier to see how beautiful and majestic the nature was. really humanized the video in a way. beautiful work
This is how I want my relationship to be like- I am so comfortable with someone I can say whatever deep stuff is on my mind without being scared they think it’s too random, and I can ask open ended questions about their past, future, dreams, and thoughts about life. No more surface level conversations. One of my favorite things which I wish I could do more often is getting to know a new person, sharing our life stories and see what connects, what relates even though we’re two strangers. Love this, it was beautiful, the editing was admirable, thank you for this feel-good video. Hope to see Isobel again
I love that i saw someone in the comments say : "This is what TH-cam was made for" Cause i truly think so too, before all this influencer mass came in the play, TH-cam was just for genuine art to be shared with people around the world, from daily life to big things. This is really well made, well shoted, props to you young man !!
What a beautiful film. Better than most romances! Watching it, there was no way you both wouldn't get together. The way you filmed her, the way she looked at you and the pauses where you would both laugh and not say what you were truly feeling. How beautiful that you shared this moment together.
The last hug had me like really hoping you went for it, and then you did. I’m sure if you asked anyone around y’all how long they thought you two knew eachother they’d say for a lifetime.
god i loved this. it’s like watching a hidden story abt someone you used to know and feeling that nostalgia; and i didn’t even live this or know u both. this is brilliant and authentic - that’s what makes it intimate and precious. cherish this, max
I teared up when the video ended. You captured a feeling so well. Appreciating something in the moment before it has passed is something I still need to learn. Amazing video I'm glad TH-cam recommended it to me
I love how this is an incredibly genuine film about going on a journey, falling in love, and finding oneself in the process. My main takeaway from this film was just how powerful simple moments can have on you and others, such as when you had filmed Isobel eating Pringles...this is something that most of us would never think of capturing, but you had. Instead of just showing a stereotypical love tale, you showed small and personal moments that help define your journey. It's hard making films, and incredibly hard captivating an audience and guide them through a journey, to the point where it feels like we're standing over your shoulder in some moments. Great job, and I hope you continue to inspire the next generation of creators.
I find myself coming back to this video so often, especially during hard times. I cant even begin to explain to you how much i would give to watch this again for the first time. This video- no, art just reminds me how much more to there is to live for, than just the nuances of daily life. There is so much more to experience and you never know when you might miss your chance.
Wow. What a beautiful story. This whole series was so spontaneous and nostalgic as it was happening I’m just left with this unfamiliar feeling in my stomach. The rawness and authenticity of this film was absolutely amazing I seriously have never seen anything like this before, it felt like I was watching a movie of your lives and I’ve never realized just how much happens outside of my little bubble of this world until now and it’s so insane to think about. Max, your creativity and authenticity is so inspiring and captivating you are such an interesting person and I wish you the best of luck in this journey we are all experiencing called life. Cheers :)
I did in fact start sobbing when he leaned in to kiss her. The way their love and friendship grew was such a beautiful thing to watch even if we just got small glimpses of it. I never want to sit and watch a 22 minute TH-cam video but this was one I was so invested in
I know I'm just a random person commenting on this video that the TH-cam algorithm placed in my recommendations, but still, I feel honored that you let us witness this piece of your story in such an authentic way. Thank you. The music choices fit perfectly with how the story unfolded in the film. You're a creative storyteller and I'm wishing you and Isobel the best that life has to offer💛
This was honestly so cute I love the idea of two people that are completely different going on a long road trip and falling in love along the way it’s amazing
I think I've never sob this bad, i can't believe a 22 minute video made me feel lof of things. you're one of a kind Max! this was so pure. It wasn't just the intimate process of the trip but it was just your words, how you described every moment. I loved the part when you talked about being optimistic, and you taught me once again, live life to its fullest, enjoy all those little moments that have their own unique moment. So far, my favorite video
I live videos like these. for the last few weeks I’ve been meditating, and my goal has been just to “feel more” if you will. And honestly it’s been the best experience of my life, I’ve never felt more love, passion, thrill, fear, anything- I’ve never felt as much as I do now, and videos like these are kinda a love letter to life, love, and emotion. It’s a reminder to just, forget all of the little shit and live
Do you mind telling me a bit about your meditation? What inspired you? What do you do to meditate? What are challenges you have faced while doing it, and how did you overcome them? I‘ve struggled my entire life to be present. To *feel* and not just be. To *experience* a sunset, not just see it. I suffer in thoughts, in logistics, in consideration. There was one moment in my life, one girl, who freed my of this, but I have since lost her.
One of the best TH-cam videos I’ve ever seen in my life. The storytelling is outstanding and i love how you also captured the beauty of living. Love is not only about the high parts, but the little parts are the ones that captivate our hearts the most. This is the first time i've seen a video from you and all i can say is wow. You made 22 min feel like 5 and by the end of it i was stunned. So glad i clicked on this video in my recommendations. Thank you !!!! Also as a Dutch person I find the nature in America so stunning
This reminds me of my parents history. When my mum was moving 10h away when she was your age, she needed someone to take her and her stuff in a bigger car. My dad who she had only met a few times but was friends with her friends offered to drive her the whole way! 20 years later, they’re happily married with two children, a cat and a dog.
This is beautiful. You are a brilliant writer and narrator. This is finally “content” I relate to because it’s authentic, wholesome, and sacred. There are so many words to be said about slow living and appreciating life in of itself. There are even more feelings to be felt. We must each decide to take the time to experience these precious moments, and the greater choice, who to share them with.
This is a beautifully human video, better than the love stories found in romcoms that feel so hollow. You captured genuine human connection in such a tender way, and I am grateful to have come across this video.
Left alone the storytelling, the beauty of delivering everything in this video like angles and ideas, I just want to appreciate this amazingly natural example of how to get to know each other and how to really live. I simply love the life part about this video, the healthy and sincere communicating betwenn you two. Max, thank you for this story and for the fact that you are one of those people who, in my humble opinion, are really can be called humans.
The optimism is out of this world. And I love those drone shots! Thank you, and great work! Probably the best thing I have watched on TH-cam in quite a while.
Seeing how this all unfolded, a shot in the dark - a chance to explore, and the ending to match, had me cheering for your entire experience in this video, Max. Love the content!
there's just something about this video that makes me feel incredibly soothed. the way you captured a state of really deep emotions in one video is truly astonishing. undoubtedly the best love story i ever "witnessed". thank you
Sometimes, though rare, life can be crazier than you imagination. I think you had one of those times, and you embraced it beautifully. You managed to explain and fit human emotions into one 22 minute video that made me smile, laugh, and cry all at the same time. This video has made me realize that being in my head sometimes isn't that fun as being in the present. Thank you for showing me how to find and make life a little more fun. :)
Such a beautiful film. You somehow managed to capture what is the unfathomable feeling of falling in love. The process of opening up, discovering new sides of yourself and really being open with somebody. This was pure joy to watch. Thank you Max :)
I rarely comment but this video is genuinely one of the most touching and heartfelt things I've seen on this website. From the camera angles to the close ups, this video felt so real and intimate. Great job!
Every part of this film really spoke to me. I kinda have my own version of a road-trip love story. From Virginia to Wyoming my girlfriend and I went to work in Yellowstone National Park this past summer and ended up realizing that we needed to break up. We had originally planned to go on a big road-trip afterwards since we both had never been out west. So for a month on the road we were broken up. Knowing that once we went back home we had to accept that the breakup was for the best and we couldn’t see each other anymore at the end. For the first week we decided to include this Polish couple that worked with me in YNP. Both parties decided to split ways on the 9th day. My ex and I continued the road-trip for the last 3 weeks and it was during the final week where there was the most emotion. Understanding each other in a whole new way, falling in love with a person all over again, but keeping your distance so it would hurt less in the end. Then of course you had to say the thing about the second last day being scarier than the final day. That second final night, when your just looking at the bright stars, listening to the crickets chirp, wind flowing through the trees, some of the final heartbeats you’ll hear from their chest. Idk. That second last day will be cherished in my heart vault forever. Being home has been challenging, especially since I had to basically start fresh with all this time on my hands. I’m in a different chapter of my life now. Seeing this video makes me have hope for a better tomorrow, kinda makes me believe in love again but I’m 100% NOT ready for that. 10 out of 10 would watch again! We also made a video but not as amazing as this one lol
As a single man, looking to fall in love again-I found myself leaping for joy, when I saw you, Max, lean in for that kiss goodbye. So happy for you both! Can’t wait for road-trip number 2!
This video made me feel things I haven’t felt in a while, the way you loosened up after the first week, the “stalker” videos you filmed of Isobel, the drone shots of various landscapes on highway 10, I felt like I was a part of the experience, beautiful as always max❤️
This is real, a lot of influencers either send a message that is corrupted by their aesthetic and taken drastically out of proportion by their viewers but you happen to keep it real, raw and simple. I like that, keep it going Max. Feel Compassion and Live Your Passion.
Been following you for some years max, and it astonishes me to see how you keep outdoing yourself while the final product doesn’t seem to be with the intent of astonishing. This video has the personality of a Buddhist monk; it’s just there. Now. Naturally. It’s not trying to be anyone but itself. I admire you
This has got to be one of the most underrated, authentic, and well executed films I have ever watched on youtube, I wish you the best of luck. Sadly youtube doesn't have that many good creators out there.
hey max, frequent viewer but rare commenter here. just wanted to say that i love the message you're spreading with these videos, one of authenticity, optimism, and vulnerability. it's such a breath of fresh air amidst all the short-form content nowadays. you've inspired me to document more of life and tell more stories, so thank you, and can't wait for the next episodes:)
Oh my god dude. I was not expecting this. At first, I just read the title of the video, and I thought, "yes, this sounds like a good video", and indeed, it was. The storytelling, the views, the music, everything matched perfectly in this video. After a long time, I could watch an entire video without looking at my cellphone. Congratulations.
Man this is absolutely beautiful. A reminder that I need to get out of my own head more often and push myself to explore and meet new people. I’ve been to a lot of these places in this video and you captured them all magnificently.
This was really lovely! Cutting out briefly before the private things like her letter or the last kiss somehow made it feel more authentic. That was a real person's life I just witnessed. Makes me feel better with my own heartbreaks knowing someone out there has a love story
I'm Brazilian and I started watching your videos to learn a little about your language, honestly your videos are helping a lot, and I'm also binge watching them all. 🇧🇷♥️🇺🇲
rose: reliving this trip again through your eyes bud: seeing how our connection evolves through time thorn: our differences are our greatest strength, but also our biggest weakness Ɛ>
Dude this made me sooo emotional. Idk why but I guess the way you 2 are vulnerable yet so strong by going on this journey is super inspiring to me. And I guess it's that vulnerability that I have not been able to express the past few months that made me react the way I did. Absolutely beautiful and a message received at the perfect time. Thanks for reading! keep being you because that is who you are meant to be.
Everything about this felt perfect. So real, so beautiful and the music choices throughout were just so complimentary! I‘m not even sure if I can say you’ve outdone yourself once again because it was just so raw and that’s beautiful on its own and not comparable
I hope to do something like this one day. This isn't only adorable but just living in the moment like this displays so much of the beauty that life has to offer
This is your best video yet! Can't wait to see where 2023 takes you:) When you woke up in the morning in the car in a random location, and ethereal music started playing I felt like I was there, it was truly a magical moment for me. Plus the ending is so cute!
here because i saw isobel's video. i'm going on a week long trip with a complete stranger in 7 days. this video gave me all the best feelings and made me realize that i shouldn't be scared or nervous, but excited. i'm also an introvert and the thought of sharing space with a stranger terrified me. thanks for this video. i am truly excited for what is to come. for all the things i will learn about myself and the other person.
I love this little film. It’s amazing how much can be shown through a video. This story is so heartwarming. Living in the Pacific Northwest, with those bits of the video, made me see it in a different light. It makes me appreciate my home more, oddly enough. It’s so nice to just see something that makes your heart feel light.
I've been clicking on this video expecting the usual hopeless romantic/ lame ass clickbait content but got suprised heavily. Your art of telling the story made me forget every pessimism I felt until that very moment. In a long time not a single video I watched on this platform made it so worth watching it. It really made me question myself, if I should become more outgoing and giving the people surrounding me a chance to prove themselves. The insane chemistry between the two of you made me smile throughout the whole video. Now I am just hoping for the best possible outcome in terms of your relation/friendship. It was inspiring to say the least
Sending this to my girlfriend. She is from San Francisco, but moved away a couple years ago and misses it dearly. She also has serious serious anxiety. I can already tell this is going to be super comforting for her to watch I love her a lot because despite having had a lot of abuse she is incredibly wholesome and optimistic. She somehow left the experience as innocent and pure as she went in. Which has given me a hope for humanity and the world.
The fact that I was able to watch this entire video in normal speed right to the end without pausing is a testament to how good it was (and how shitty my attention span is) but wow, incredible! I recently came back home after travelling for a year and this brought back a lot of memories, a lot of nostalgia. I’m remembering the people I bumped into and the deep albeit short lived connections we formed. I’m thankful for every single one of them and the impact they had on me. Thank you for this video, hope you’re good :)
The wholesomeness of this video is insurmountable. Not only does it show the beauty of nature, the way you portray how you two fell in love is absolutely amazing!!
Have to admit that i almost cry. I've just discovered you last week and you have inspired me to do a lot of things in 2023. Even a roadtrip with a complete stranger
This is one of the greatest videos I watched on here in a long time. It just feels like I watched a whole movie in 22 minutes, and I loved every second of it. Thank you so much.
Wow. This is probably the best TH-cam recommendation I've ever had and that I'll ever have. Thank you for making this emotional, reflective, poetic piece of art.
This is the most meaningful video I’ve seen in a long time. It’s made me realized how much there is for me to do in this life, and I am excited. Humans are beautiful. Thank you.
Man I know tjis video is a year old but first time I watched it and holy jesus it just made me feel like no video has done before, honestly I had no idea about your channel but from now on I will be subscribed, so beautiful and romantic my heart melted, and one last thing man you are inspiration to me because for several years my ultimate dream has been to go on a roadtrip well a roadtrip with my friends but now I guess it could be with a stranger.
I love this because you're willing to be vulnerable, and that's the only way any friendship should start the willingness to be vulnerable. Many of us, as adults are afraid afraid of what people will think afraid of what the opposite sex will say. You talk too much, your breath smells your hair, don't look good. The pressure of looking good. This is so wonderful, because it's two strangers willing to be vulnerable, and that's why it works
This is probably the most beautiful video I have seen. I love how over the years, your form of content has changed and has been increasingly deep and meaningful, almost soul-touching. This entails the line, " The kind of slow love, we all dream to experience ". Keep up the great work Max!!
I just finished watching this, and wow. That was so incredibly beautiful. I felt it. I felt the joy and fun you two were feeling, a beautiful warmth. This was better than a movie, because it’s real. Real love. The right kind of silly goofy “ I think the way you eat Pringles is cute” kind of love. It gives me hope. Hope that this beautiful kind of love is real, and not only restricted to fantasy love stories. It makes me want to go out in the world and meet all sorts of amazing people, and share incredible experiences like this with them. That was truly incredible. I’m glad to see the kind of love I dream about is real. ❤
I watched this whole video with a great, big idiotic grin on my face. You've managed to capture something so extraordinarily special in this video. An essence that not even words could describe. This is one of the best videos I've ever seen
Just watched this video now, and I have to say it’s by far one of the best on yt I’ve watched. I feel like I am a little bit at that point in my life right now, where you’ve been in this video. Not exactly of course, but I really felt what you were saying. Thank you for this masterpiece!
This was incredible. Absolutely breathtaking. It's truly like watching a romance movie but it was a real, lived experience. This was packed with so much raw emotion. Absolutely incredible.
man I almost missed this gem. It didnt pop up in my subscription box. You just have an eye for aesthetics that I am still trying to develop. Keep going max
It feels like my life's purpose is to watch from the sidelines how other people are living amazing, interesting and/or exciting lives chasing their dreams. I hope one day I can find a dream to chase too, but until then I'll enjoy as much of my life as i can and be contempt with others' happiness. Thanks for the vid and keep up the good work my man.
Max, thanks for making this video! I am happy that you went on this road trip with a stranger. Sometimes it is good (for all of us) to step out of our comfort zone and try something we are unsure of. From what I saw, it looks like you both had a great time on the trip! Even though there were some hardships along the way, you kept going and seemed to get to know one another really well. In addition to this, I also liked your aerial views of the California coast, and the locations you went to. Keep up the good work. You are someone I admire and look up to. Look forward to seeing more of your adventures and videos!
You made me feel awe and beauty and wisdom and desire. You made me want to run fields, laugh uncontrollably, and fall in love again. It’s true. You’re an amazing storyteller. And I think these connections are so rare and raw that should be kept for lifetimes. Thank you 🙏
This was absolutely beautiful. From the cinematography to the insightful and perfectly articulated voiceovers to the story itself. Keep it up, you’re brilliant.
that was really adorable. I loved it so much, the music, and scenery, you two just being yourselves. I wish you both the best, and I'm so glad i stumbled upon this video. Truly, beautifuo
I can't stop smiling. This warmed my heart in more ways than one! It felt like I was experiencing this with you guys (even though I didn't lol). I can't believe that you two barely know each other but are willing to do this together. It makes it so much cuter! Please keep making more videos like this!

Hi my name is fady from Egypt I I am looking for a life partner who is honest
Anybody else come back to this more than once? Love is so simple and yet so beautiful!
this is an astonishingly beautiful representation of falling in love
This video truly shows the beauty of life. We have love, compassion, nature, & just living in the moment for everything life is. Beautiful video
This is the most beautiful youtube video I've ever seen. Made me ugly cry at work. Humans are such beautiful creatures sometimes.
There is nothing I can say that accurately articulates the way this video made me feel. Thank you Max. What a gift.
so glad you enjoyed it (:
The fact that some really good creators are gushing about this video in the comment section says all you need to know about this.
21:27 my heart skipped a beat that clip was so sweet
Something like this is something you would show you kids later when they ask - "how did y'all meet?"
there's just something about this video that makes me feel incredibly soothed. the way you captured a state of really deep emotions in one video is truly astonishing. undoubtedly the best love story i ever "witnessed". thank you
Sometimes, though rare, life can be crazier than you imagination.
Appreciate you Paul! Thank you for the kind words. Keep on documenting !! 🫶🏻
Part of me is dying know what’s in the letter yet another part of me know it’s simply just wrong to know. Absolutely amazing man!
rose: reliving this trip again through your eyes
bud: seeing how our connection evolves through time
thorn: our differences are our greatest strength, but also our biggest weakness

Can't wait to see where 2023 takes you:)
When you woke up in the morning in the car in a random location, and ethereal music started playing I felt like I was there, it was truly a magical moment for me.
I can already tell this is going to be super comforting for her to watch
I love her a lot because despite having had a lot of abuse she is incredibly wholesome and optimistic. She somehow left the experience as innocent and pure as she went in. Which has given me a hope for humanity and the world.
dude you cant just leave us hanging like that!! this was amazing God bless yall
I am 25 years old single boy, i am looking for someone with whom I can feel free to share everything,i just want a friend
Go for it! One trip can change your life (:
sometimes when i cant feel anything, i like to watch people discover love.
It just give me a 'Into the Wild' movie vibe. Love this kind of videos, it helps me cope my anxiety.
Yes! That inspired some of the editing/music. I planned to use clips from the movie but then decided against it. Glad you enjoyed the video!
This is the most meaningful video I’ve seen in a long time. It’s made me realized how much there is for me to do in this life, and I am excited. Humans are beautiful. Thank you.
if i could like this film more than 100 times, i so would. that ending made me cry - it’s so well done:)
❤️
Man I know tjis video is a year old but first time I watched it and holy jesus it just made me feel like no video has done before, honestly I had no idea about your channel but from now on I will be subscribed, so beautiful and romantic my heart melted, and one last thing man you are inspiration to me because for several years my ultimate dream has been to go on a roadtrip well a roadtrip with my friends but now I guess it could be with a stranger.
your view on optimism and meeting new people is inspiring. thank god i found this video at the exact moment i needed it. good luck max!
Wow ! You deserve an Oscar, I almost cry at the end ! This trip was so beautiful !
You've not lost the film making knack and you've gained a sole mate. Chuffed for you. x
❣️❣️
Just watched this video now, and I have to say it’s by far one of the best on yt I’ve watched.
I feel like I am a little bit at that point in my life right now, where you’ve been in this video. Not exactly of course, but I really felt what you were saying.
Thank you for this masterpiece!
This was honestly one of the best TH-cam videos I’ve ever watched. The editing was amazing, narration was amazing. It was just absolutely beautiful
I love how you both cherished the connection you made, and that your tume together ending did not make it any less powerfyl.
that was really adorable. I loved it so much, the music, and scenery, you two just being yourselves. I wish you both the best, and I'm so glad i stumbled upon this video. Truly, beautifuo
I’ve been down in the dumps lately, but seeing your guys’ story unfold made me feel better. Thank you.
I can't stop smiling. This warmed my heart in more ways than one! It felt like I was experiencing this with you guys (even though I didn't lol). I can't believe that you two barely know each other but are willing to do this together. It makes it so much cuter! Please keep making more videos like this!
