- I installed a few random parts and a RC Hidden Winch on Capable Bumper. Not a how to video but how it went for me. 2.3L Ranger Engine cover on Bronco.

Came from TFL to see how you put this together, great little winch mount, looks like it's from factory!
Yeah, that winch mount is close to perfect. Just needs a way to easily disconnect and engage the clutch. But it’s not that big of a deal to just run it out with the switch.

It is fun to accessorize and customize these new Broncos. But, ADDING an engine beauty cover? I don’t get it. And maybe not a concern for you, but all those door pockets will make it difficult to store them neatly. I do like the door handle pockets though.
The engine cover does quite down the injector noise and I keep a lot in door pockets with no issues. Some people leave the net to split the storage.
Is a 200amp relay enough? the winch says it draws just shy of 400a at peak.
This is what I've used for a while, but yes, maybe get one bigger if needed.

I just noticed on the website that it isn't capable with the capable bumper. Did you notice anything on your instructions that indicates that? seems like the spacers aren't needed and that is your only variation from the modular installation instructions. Anything else i'm missing?
the missing 2 bolts and not using the spacers seem to be the only differences?
Now I was told by rough country that hidden winch can not be installed with a capable bumper...

Does that with mount limit the approach angle? Looks good though
It takes away maybe 1/2 inch at the most. I never had any issues even in Colorado on harder climbs.

No, I just ordered the one for 2.3 Ranger.
So my question that I wasn't able to get an answer on from Rough Country, how do you free spool it? Is there some way to access the clutch? Great video btw
The only way is to reach in front of the motor and turn it. I’m planning on building a remote lever and will make a video when I do. I just run it out with the controller. You can see me use it on TFL Offroad Channel.

You can buy a cheap extendo-reach hand claw to reach down and disengage the winch
So RC just wrote me saying that this setup won't fit a capable bumper. Other than 2 missing bolts, nothing else caused any problems, correct?
It bolted Right up.
Why does RC say it doesn’t fit the capable bumper? Did you run into any issues that wasn’t in the video?
If I’m not mistaken, they have two versions. Just give them a call.

Yes, and it has been a great winch so far.

The base 2 door Bronco starts a $31k. As far as new cars go, that's not bad.
Have they got them down to MSRP pricing now? Haven't looked in a while
@@JM8872 That is up to the dealership. The dealership in East Texas I deal with doesn’t make up anything special ordered.
I'm surprised Rough Country lets someone get away with using the name Rough County for a similar business.
