Also, you can get an SD card, download OSCAR and after the first night of use take the SD card out of the unit and plug it into your computer and wait for the data to load. If you look at the history it will tell you if it was used and when it was set up from factory.

Which one is the lightest between these two machines? Please INCLUDE THE BAG and ONLY THE HEATED HOSE, (not the other hose that is in the pack) and REMOVE ANY BOOKS AND PACKING before you weigh them. Thanks
The run hours shouldn't be able to be reset. Most machines require you to access a clinical menu in order to view that and wouldn't be accessible on a patient's main menu. Most people do not know how to access a clinical menu. It's a crap shoot on getting a used machine or new.

These machines need to be completely redesigned. It's meant to help you breath but in most cases it will make it harder to breathe lol. It's such a dumb machine that just rams air in to your nose. I think it needs to be able to sense the air pressure more precisely and with waaayy less latency.

I have a EVO 804 APAP only 25 hours I really did not use this model I can't find a mask for it or VA it's in brand new condition . do you have a mask for sale that works with this APAP ? it's set on CPAP can't find the CD ! It's set on 11 p it runs great ! Got it new years ago from VA

It doesn't come with an SD card. I saw my supplier open a new one which she took out of different drawer, as part of the process of setting up my new machine. It was definitely new. Clean case, all the books in, plastic on the screen, 6 free filters to start with etc.
You can program it in front of the patient but those days seem to have passed. We use a separate power supply to program all our machines as it's more efficient to begin with for the company.

I bought a new resmed air curve st 10. Can you comment on this machine. The seller gave me the amara view face mask by Philips. Most of the time air leaks. Do you think I have to change my face mask to Resmed Airfit 20.?
My resimed 10 was used and also malfunctioned . Water filled the tube so much i almost drowned breathing in the water. woke up with , could not breath with full tube of water. The company called it a faulty machine , her settings were off . Not good .
For Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset, there is a hours usage counter that tells how many hours the machine was used. Is there a way for the vendor to reset this to zero? When I received my "new" machine, I found out that about 4,000 hours were logged on it, which is between 1.3 to 2 years of use, depending how many hours various people used it. I sent it back and will not deal with the big players out there. Thanks for your video, especially for the 50% non-compliance heads up. The unit was billed to medicare at full, new price, but I stopped that from happening. The penalty for fraud against a government agency is up to $1,000,000 and imprisonment. Prices are sky frickin high, and where are all these refurb units he talks about? Says he wouldn't sell them to a patient, then who is he selling them to? Who else besides a patient would buy one? Beware, the dme industry as a whole is sketchy af
Saltysteele They are on our website for sale. Before COVID-19 it was easy to sell refurbished units for $395. Half the price of new with less then 100 hours? Patient is 100% aware of refurbished. What do you think the National Companies do with returns?! If you aren’t in the sleep industry how would you even know? Ignorant statement by someone not even in the sleep industry...

DME suppliers have very long rapsheets--all the big ones and many small ones. Wheelchairs, walkers, electric carts, and many other items. You alluded to what "some" vendors do. They ship them in bulk far away at a deep discount tof some other dealer to unload them. Every one of them deserves prosecution. Thanks for pointing out this aspect of the shady DME vendors.

My wife got her brand new Resmed today from the NHS. Diagnosed a week ago so didn't had to wait long. Brilliant.

I think I got a used one it did not come with the heater hose, they unwrapped a plain cheap one .

Can the DME reset the hours in service back to zero? Wouldn't that be the easiest way to know if the machine was used or not?

John Bolduc I don’t know of any way to reset blower hours. Never heard of that being done.

Yes, you have to access the clinical menu.
Hold both buttons for 3 seconds not the start pump button. Just the 2 on front. Write down your setup

If it still works and you are cleaning it properly, I would imagine you don't.

Great question! I haven't seen them in the devices. I'm assuming since they are cell data capable, no need for the extra cost to add.

But the therapist needs to open the power supply and cords to power up for programming the machine for the client.
