Beth!! I love watching! My husband walked in the room and said, “hey, she love green yarn just like you”. So true, green is my favorite. Thanks for another fun episode.
Thank you for mentioning my stash fluffing MAL! I'm glad it is inspiring you 😊. I am also planning to use stash yarn for shark week, however I'm knitting wise owl knits Sharkey pattern which was definitely not on my radar earlier this year - but it is oh so cute and my boys will cheer me on to knit faster 😅
That crochet sweater needs to go on my list of projects. I'd seen Karista show it on her podcast and then when I saw her in person wearing it I fell in love with it. My problem is I need to learn to crochet. Thanks for doing what you do! 😊
Yes! Great way to learn. The granny square is a simple technique to learn, and after joining all the squares, you pick up and knit the collar and hem. (Although I may change my mind about how simple it is when I try to join the squares. )
The construction of Rena is so fascinating! I will enjoy watching your progress on this. Darn those sideways knit tops! The Nomad Tee looks beautiful and I hope you are able to finish the ribbing to your satisfaction. I would be tempted to rip out the other two and start over. Seaming the Lionshead sounds like a decent solution, but I think the bulky seam would bother me.
I think the Joni top will be frogged. I'm still not sure if I'm going to undo the ribbing on Nomad. I want to try it on again and walk around with it on for awhile. I have done more investigation on the Lionshead Top. I think I'm where I need to be.
“I wish it was easier to get finished objects.” Me too! I have so many started things in bags that I really do want to finish, but it’s a slow art, isn’t it? If I could just avoid starting new things for awhile…
Hi Beth! So good to watch you this week! We were camping last week and had almost no service and I feel like I’m way behind on my podcasts! So fun to see that you got one of the summer picnic yarn sets! Didn’t Karista go a great job with that yarn? I still haven’t decided what to make for shark week…..like you, I want to make something that I already have supplies for but I’ve been holding off on my knitting because I’m experiencing some “trigger thumb” pain. I’m hoping that rest will help. I’m wondering if embroidery is allowed for shark week? I need to make some Christmas ornaments for my grandchildren and might could get those done. We are also having company for 3 days next week so my making time will be greatly affected. Looking forward to seeing what everyone makes!!! I think your cowl idea is great! I still need to make mine.
I hope you had a great trip! Sometimes it's good to get off the grid for awhile. I'm sorry you're in pain. I think any craft goes for Shark Week. I love the idea of getting Christmas things started now!

Thanks, Cheryl. Yes, green is one of my favorite colors. Your husband is perceptive.

It's great that you get to participate in both your own MAL and the Shark Week MAL at the same time. Nothing like double dipping!
Thank you! What an awesome prize/surprise! Looking forward to seeing the blue (knit sideways) tee.
Congratulations, Stephanie! I can't wait to finish the tee.

Yes. New and shiny... sigh. I'm glad you can relate.
