When I was a young Wren I worked in Communications at Whitehall...where those people walk, we were working underground. Love Admiralty Arch...Saw Horse Guards Parade every time we were on watch arriving in our RN boneshaker bus. Hard work but happy days for an 18 year old...

How lovely to see the Union flag flying,makes me very proud ,
I used to work for the police as a civilian staff,we used to help train the horses by banging pots pans, blowing whistles,shouting etc while the rider walked the horse through, one day I was walking over the
Parade ground when one of the trainers who used to be military shouted at one of the cadets just as I walked past, it was so loud I was deaf for three days 😂
I did know about that entrance have watched them loading horses for rehearsal for various ceremonies, they usually have the ones that carry more than one horse with the gates to separate the horses they all had leg protection on, it is lovely to watch that horse on its own going in, it is rare a horse will go straight into a horse box they don't like them, so it was very well handled by these troopers, you have to be strong to move a horse who really doesn't want to go in.

The Trooper with the great lungs was recently in a video wearing camo but sadly I don’t think he’s been at Horse Guards in ceremonial kit since just after the coronation, when they had to stop shouting. You and your lungs are missed, sir 😊❤.

John, just seeing this video. First, I've seen that back gate once before when the feed and hay was being delivered on a rainy day, naturally. I remember being amazed at the amount of train and hay that was needed for the beautiful boys and girls (the 4 legged kind). Also I don't know if you ever found out why the horse was taken out, I hope he was okay. He was really beautiful. I've said it before I just want to buy them all, they are my obsession now adays. Thanks so much for these wee gems John. I don't do tiktok so they're sometimes quite new to me, and sometimes new angles on things I've seen before. Either way well worth watching. I do like your comment section too John. It's not quite as...... How can I put this??.... ummm retentive as some. I ended up being blocked in a chat by one content provider who shall remain unnamed, without any warning, or reason given. I was annoyed cos I'd barely said 3 sentences, but I stayed asking what I'd actually done over and over..... In the meantime they( the page owner and his mod) were commenting on me being a troll!!! Which as you can imagine just made me fume cos they still hadn't told me what I was supposed to have done! Finally they made an obtuse reference to language, and I was like "because I said" hell"? "...... Yes it was..... I was just so annoyed but just said I hoped they got their heads out of their arses and left. Honestly.... all they had to do was TELL me, but no.... Too busy on their little power kick. Tragic.
These horses and their human tenders are fantastic to see. Thanks for reprising your videos. I do hope you are enjoying your time off, although it seems you are spending plenty of time at your editing bench.

When I was there 101yrs ago I was able to walk right past the front door of No 10. Had my photo taken in front of the door. Someone (not the PM ha!) came out. I thought they were inviting me for lunch! 🤣 How things have changed.
Yeah, it was a bit disorienting when I first saw the end of Downing Street in John's videos cos when I lived in London, Downing Street was just that, a street that you could walk down. Couldn't believe how it's both very different, and yet just the same. What makes me laugh is all the tourists peering thru the gates..... Why? At what exactly? I mean let's be honest, it's possibly the most boring street in London, mainly because it's high security lol

Hi John I used to drive the RM many moons ago. No power steering and freezing cold in winter and hot in summer. Did any of you guys film them loading the horses up on Dec 3rd?
Sadly I got stuck in traffic and missed the last 4 o'clock Inspection (and loading) on December 3rd. Just my luck... 😅

Horse shit doesn't smell bad. I really don't understand why people get so worked up about it(ofc this MAY well be years of living around horses...maybe lol) Besides these troopers live alongside stables, and work in them every day..... they probably don't even notice it.
