- This was one of my first ok tapes i had just about learned all there was to know about my camcorder , stratford on a saturday could be good , but my first depot visit (since steam days in edinburgh) was good . it rained which made shooting the locos taking fuel a ice rink . thanks to the guys doing the job they let me carry on with no hassle.

A big thanks Limehouse for the upload , I moved freight for BR and remember these places , plus Temp. Mills , Thornton Fields , Stratford Freightliner Terminal , my old 37 failing near Dalston junction. You caught things on the wane from BR to private railways incorporated . Now all gone of course and the area looking very modern and different.
ta ive no t looked at any of the old tapes for a while no one new then it would all soon be gone as well im just glad I did this now theres not a lot around about this depot , it was the same in france I did some videos there no one else was from france now all they have is my few videos and some others now everyones recording I don't do as much as I did theres no real need for me to do video but I still do a few steam and gals videos at 64 now its getting harder to get the right spirit to do the German trips ive just came back from one I had not been for 4 years .Still managed to put in over 12 hrs per day for 5 days . it was real nice doing that ...Ian.

Hi DT(?) Love the vid. I posted on your flickr accnt that I like the fuelling point I faved, but the one on here is so like the Bachmann one I own that I'm torn. Becoming more drawn to diesels but they'll have to stay green!

One from the past , this was my first depot visit since the steam days .In Haymarket Edinburgh . It was raining a lot and the ground was slippery .They were filling up the locos with fuel for the next days ballast trains .I though they would tell me to get lost , but they were ok about it. It was odd in the sheds were locos that had been worked on , the tools were lying around , but there had been no work done in there for a while . Just looked abandoned . Sad sorry sight now its all gone , must have been great in years before.
@mappman1000 i edited around a lot of it , to make it fit the 10 min slot . the rfd 47s you see in the depot were just leaving as i arrived , left that one out . thanks ive 1 more stratford and some hither green , i will post soon.

Thanks my old videos still get viewers im glad theres some great stuff among them all , some of my favourite workings Stratford is so odd now no depot anymore just a great big Olympic complex sad day for rail...............ian
You would need ear plugs now the station tannoy is so loud security everywhere and no Stratford tmd its gone...........thanks for viewing .....ian
