Another solid avenue is to hit up Vintage shops. I have a handful of these places around me. I will usually take a weekend and scan these places. I have found some pretty cards for cheap. I have found vintage bulk Pokémon, magic, binders, etc... for cheap! Usually just older folk not understanding what they have and sell for cheap. its a fun way to hunt for some new inventory.
Hey Will, great video! I have definitely had luck with being active on social media, through Facebook, Instagram, and TH-cam, with putting out the availability that I am a buyer. I steer people to my website, and they message me through there. Hundreds of thousands of bulk cards have come to me this way in the last year, makes it so I really don't have to do a lot of hunting, which I love, saves me a lot of time. One tip I'd like to add is that if you are going to join a bunch of social media groups or participate in a bunch of hashtags, make sure you add value to those groups or conversations. Don't just constantly ask for cards - if you become a value-adding part of the community, people will throw more inventory at you than you know what to do with. Keep it up, Will! Great video as usual
i love your content as im a mainly british sports card dealer but im trying to learn about pokemon and i have recently started doing content myself so i just thought id say hi
New subscriber, trying to learn the ropes on selling cards. Have a question though: I’ve seen many videos on selling singles online, but it usually is 2 cards at a time max shown in video. How do you go about mailing 10-30 cards at a time? As in how do you package it? Thanks!
Hey there Treever Leaf! Thanks so much for subscribing. I would use a top loader, sleeve, and team bag. You can fit up to 10-12 cards in a single sleeve. I would out the sleeved cards in front of the top loader then team bag it. Anything over that, I would do that process twice. So two top loaders two sleeves and two team bags. Thay way you are separating the stack of cards so they ship better. Tape the packets to the invoice and make sure to send the envelope non machinable. I hope this helps!
For bulk do you give extra for store credit? I have about 125ish in bulk (maybe more.. haven't counted in a while) But I'm trying to trade it for about 5-6 slabs so I can make them into mystery bags (including an alt art chase and other goodies!) Anyways would you be interested in the bulk? Lmk!
I usually ask them to wait a month before I make any concessions. If they message me again after that time period has passed, I'll just bite the bullet and refund them. I definitely happens, but not enough to make a big difference in margins.
Do you post the same card on multiple websites if you only have one of them? I have one extra card of the 25th McDonalds Bulbasaur. I posted it on my TCG account and I want to post if on ebay but what would you do if you see that someone orders the card on TCG and another person orders from ebay? Should I only pick one webstie?
I have done that before, but I wouldn't recommend it. I often will forget that a card is cross posted and then double sell it. Ends up leading to disappointed customers and refund fees. I would just pick one website.
I'm on the CUSP of starting a Pokemon card business, and sourcing bulk and other product seems intimidating. Do you think selling from your personal collection can be enough to start the process without having to invest personal money? (I have a little one and another one on the way, so spending personal money on it is tough)
Absolutely! Selling off parts of your personal collection is a great way to start your Pokémon business. Only thing is you will need to invest some capital into getting enevelopes, stamps, and other shipping supplies.

Really good stuff! Hope your internship went well!
Thank you!
How do you handle pwe sales? Like if a buyer lies and says they never received the card, but they really did and just want to get a free card?

What's your opinion on doing mystery boxes on something like ebay
As long as there is true value for the end customer, I think it is fine.
@@TheLabTCG it's how I plan on getting rid of my bulk
@The Lab TCG of course adding in good cards as well I planning doing a 50 card pack with a minimum of 2 v, ex,gx ect. And holos
How do you know you're buying authentic cards when buying bulk on ebay?
Great video
Thank you!
