I LITERALLY JUST NOW was like, wow I need to go to the Lab's Channel to see if they have info on shipping and supplies 'cause I know you have links on your videos. And BAM you just posted a video. Hehe what a coincidence! Thanks for the info, much appreciated!
Hey Derek, congrats on the big sale! Unfortunately when this happens I just take the L and send the cards first class. Simply pack them in a team bag and protect them as needed. Shouldn't come out to over 5 Oz and can ship for like $3.78-4 depending on where it is going.
Glad to see someone else talking about PWE optimizations, I've been shipping up to 30 cards in a PWE for a while now, got a great deal on forever stamps last year so just two stamps and I'm good. Also, you should tape the two top loader stacks in a way that they won't move and end up on top of each other, which would cause the envelope thickness to be over the 0.25 inch limit (which has happened to me multiple times before I started using blue painters tape to horizontally tape the two team bags together).
Also, for the tcgplayer - you can download the packing slips and then print sizing it to the thermal printer. Yes, it's smaller but a bit easier that way. Then, if you can ship packing slips you can print invoices with your thermal printer.
@@TheLabTCG Did you delete my other comment? It was very informative to those wasting the machinable charge when their mail pieces are being thrown in the sorting belt regardless.
Any advice on the cheapest way to ship a starter deck on tcg player? I'm torn between a box, bubble mailer, in order to both properly protect the starter boxes and also be cost efficient with shipping cost. Thanks in advanced! Great video liked/subbed. Pirate ship costs is 6-9 bucks for the small box I have with two starter decks in it. So im wondering what people on tcg player are using to sell the starter decks because I really cant profit at 7.50 shipping costs + having to offer free shipping to compete + fees
I sell tcg on ebay only at the moment. 1. card > sleeve > semi ridgid sleeve > pwe > rollo shipping label for orders bubble mailer Trying to get my hands on Shipping shields as Semi ridgids are getting annoying and costly
@@TheLabTCG I've seen the vending sheets, but I'm more into 'shipping shields' it's in my opinion the new tcg standard for shipping. Lighter, holds more and more durable than semi ridgids etc. Do you have a $ threshold? like for me I started selling on ebay $2+ only cards. Than decided to push $0.99+ cards and spike my feedback. It's working amazingly
Absolutely useful information, I personally know I'm not knowledgeable enough to ship all sorts of products but this clears up some stuff and questions I had in general
I have $1 shipping on TCG. Made my first sale and not sure how the shipping works. Do I pay postage and get reimbursed later by TCG or does tcg have a postage I can print out?
Heck yea good vid, i've sold around 10 cards so far on ebay, no issues yet. I started using the ebay standard envelope, and ill put a little bubble wrap around toploaded card.
Have you considered making a video on how you handle your book keeping? I've been doing this for a while, but never bothered with proper book keeping since I never met the requirements for TCGPlayer to generate a 1099 in my name, but because of the recent changes I met those requirements in the first month of this year.
That is awesome that you are selling so much! I don't have any plans on making a bookkeeping video because I want to avoid talking about taxes. Mainly because the variance between states could mislead people that don't live in Maryland. I recommend watching some videos on using quickbooks and getting started there.
I just started selling and have been using non machinable stamps for all my PWE orders, even for orders with 4 or less cards inside a shipping shield. I do like the peace of mind that they're not going through the machines, but those stamps aren't cheap either. My fear is that the machine will damage the envelope and cards, but I don't want to keep using them if it is not necessary and save me on shipping costs. You have been shipping for a while, have you had any customer complaints about damaged cards you sent that have been 4 or less through the machine?
Hey Charlie! I got them through my distributor. They are called bcw 5k boxes and can be at bcwsupplies.com. I do have a discount code for 10% off if you're interested. Code: "thelab". Other than that, they can also be bought off Amazon.
Shipping cost for sealed products is what is mostly keeping me away from selling it online. I rather do in-person sales on sealed products with a few exceptions. They are the high-end booster boxes and older products that are actually worth it. A lot of the newer products have such a small margin for profit that if shipped, usually bring it even lower. What are your thoughts in this?

Already 1100 subs. Growing fast man congrats!
Thanks so much! Yes the growth has been crazy haha
I’ve been asking for a video like this for a long time! The PWE info is crucial when selling bulk on TCG! Great video!
Thank you! Glad it was helpful!
Another fantastic brotha!! Your channel is growing fast. Where did 1k come from all of a sudden?! Congrats!
Haha, it came fast man. Thanks for the support Derek!

Absolutely, sounds like my process. I recommend vending machine cardboard sleeves, they are quite cheap and are better for shipping lower value cards.

When inputting the weight for the shipping label, do you take the weight before or after boxing it up?

Absolutely, shipping info is super useful!
What about a flat instead of pwe?? Wouldn’t that have more shipping weight but less than then bubble mailer?
Post office has given me trouble for non pwe. Pwe works for me, but isn't the end all solution. Try it out!

@Defyzx u mean plastic wrap lol not bubble wrap lol just saying bubble wrap has those air bubbles all on it it wouldn't fit in a pwe lol

Is it smart to ship a $100 single in a bubble mailer? Or smarter to spend a bit more for the priority box?
Learning as I go...
I would just make sure the items are packaged safely. A box would likely be better and should still be able to go first class.

Totally agree. I've found that orders over $100 are worth biting the bullet for free shipping.
Don't forget that as of 2022 if you make $600 or more on eBay throughout the tax year, you will get a 1099 and will have to file it as income

Hey is it just me or does TCGPlayer not offer sellers any discounts for shipping like Amazon and Ebay does?
It doesn't unfortunately
The link to your list doesn't work.
