Hey Matt and Andrea, Rick and Shelby here! Great job on the review! We picked up the Cross Trail 20CBT last weekend and are loving it so far. You guys nailed it with the likes and dislikes. The bathroom is tight but, coming from a Class B it's a major improvement! The step is annoying, and the J lounge could have been so much better if it had the pull-out feature like Andrea mentioned. You summed up the likes nicely at the end, Class B driving experience with a Class C floorplan and price point! So glad we ran into you guys that day at MHSRV! Thanks for all your help and keep up the good work!
Thanks I like this much better than the winniebago ecko it sleeps more and have 6 belts that is awesome I’m current have a class b only 4 seat belts but have poptop this unit is will be perfect for me with awd thanks
@@MattsRVReviews Hello everyone I’m looking for something really similar (B+) same form factor but 20 feet or 21 feet maximum somebody can help me to find the company or Models. Thank you very much for your time 😀
You two are by far my favorite to watch showing RVs. There is not one RV person out there that shows everything on an RV like you two do. They either spend to much time talking about stuff I don't care about and not enough on things I do. You two have perfected a balance of everything you need to know. Great job you 2 have nailed it.
lol .... the beginning of the video shows a rockwood travel trailer floorplan. I was a little confused on that one when Andrea said there were no slideouts ....😆
I just want to say I have been watching you and your wife since the beginning and I love love your videos! I tried to watch someone that had a review of this van and I literally changed it in two seconds no one does a review like you! Thank you so much for all the great videos. You can tell how much you love your job. I will be looking seriously in another year or so and I won’t go to anyone else but you and I live in New York
Hey guys I love your channel and thorough reviews of the units, but I do have one suggestion. It would be helpful if once you walked into the coach and before or after Andrea does her famous "how much room with the slide in walk" you showed a steady panoramic view from the front towards the rear for just a moment so we can see it in its entirety in order to appreciate the size and overall aesthetics. Thxs
I bought a 2020 version two years ago that has the same floor plan. The passenger seat does swivel, and the J lounge converts to a bed. It is child sized, but I've learned that if you slide the driver's seat all the way forward and use the corner cushion plus a small patio furniture cushion it is large enough for my six foot tall brother. My biggest dislike was no struts on the overhead cabinets, but fifteen dollars at the hardware store fixed that!
@@randystuart938 I have my inverter, some other electric connections, and a 110 volt plug there. I thought about moving those and putting in a lounge but decided against it. If you move the driver's seat all the way forward and stuff some cushions there you convert it into a bed that fits my tall friends. I also store an Ice maker and multi-pot under the lounge, with plenty of space left over. I don't want to give those options up.
@@darrellshore1821 Thanks for the reply. It sounds like you're saying that although it would be feasible to pull out the dinette and replace it with recliners you have opted not to do so. Is this correct? And just curious - if there is a bed in the back and one over the cab, why wouldn't your guests choose to sleep on one of those beds?
@@randystuart938 I wanted three beds because a lot of my trips are with two adult friends or my two grown daughters. Everyone has their own spot, and relative comfort is king. The recliner would have been nice for relaxing inside the RV but in practice I don't spend much time inside. I did research recliners at one time. there are a few that should fit if you decide to go that route. My needs won't necessarily match everyone else's.
Can you guys review the floor plan that’s shown at the start of the video? That has one slide for the queen bed, the kitchen placement is different than what I’ve seen before, and the bathroom looks much more workable (probably still not PPP but the shower looks larger). I really like this one. Much more room than a class B and no slide outs which I prefer. The only dislike is the the sink right next to the bed but I don't see a way around it. Solar set up would be nice too. I would take out the seat or the j lounge to have room for an impact crate. I would love to have one of these for dog events.
nice one, only thing i would do is add solar on roof, a little shorter table to get in other side of dinette, otherwise cant think of anything to change.
Cute little B+. I like the floorplan except for the radius shower but understand the reason. The price is actually good compared to other units. By the way, I used your link to buy a USteps 13.5 ladder. It's heavy but I will say it is very cool. It will be great to use on our 2021 Bounder to get up and wash the roof do roof maintenance. Also great around the house.
First of all I’ve been a big fan for a long time. this RV is exactly what I’ve been looking for I feel it’s like a super size class B . Just went to an RV show in Connecticut the prices were obscene they’re nowhere close to the prices you guys quote on TH-cam when I’m ready to pull the trigger I will definitely contact mats RVs
3 things that I dislike 1. I don't like the bathroom. It's like an airplane style bathroom don't like it. 2. I don't like the dinette. The space is too small for it. 3. The step near the bed. 3 things I love 1. I love the kitchen 2. I love the corner bed 3. I love slides.
I do like it, Azdel siding and all. Do wish Coachman had other Transit floorplans before jumping to the E chassis, like a murphybed or queen slide option. For me, a corner bed is a non-starter, plus it look like a narrow full. Coachman needs to move up to Fords 178" wheelbase chassis vs the 156" and would give additional necessary interior space that would resolve your dislikes and having to choose between wardrobe or pantry and cramped one way J lounge entry. A bit puzzled why at least one of the chairs don't swivel. Matt, the Transit can tow over 2000lbs - just not this one and every other one that has huge rear storage (like LTV's rear twin drops to 2000, but other floorplans at 4000lb). That is the cost of the monster storage. Think about it, all that potential stored stuff is directly over the hitch. If you guestimate 200 lbs stored, that's 200 removed from hitch weight, so safer to put the lower rated Class II hitch when the chassis itself can handle more. Also, think of trailer hitch loading principles - fore and aft of the axel makes a huge difference in hitch weight. 100% of the storage compartment is behind the rear axel, so it's contents will directly impact the tow rating.

Go broke in a hurry.
Love smaller rigs on the Ford Transit. Is it an awd? I like mhs under 25’ as it opens up so many more campgrounds for you, especially in Banff & Jasper. A permanent bed is nice too. Manufacturers could always make it a better bathroom even in small rigs by putting the toilet in the middle & the sink beside the door. Super cute though. Awesome storage inside & out.
I like this a lot. As a parent my one big difference for me when looking is the three point seatbelts for backseat passengers. Do any dealerships install them in dinettes like this?
This camper is very similar to ours but ours is a freelander and less floor space and we have less booth room. We have that step too. Always afraid of falling off at night haha. The J lounge is much more room than we have. Not that bad at all
Overall I like it. But I’d swap out the dinette for a comfy couch and laguna table/s, porcelain toilet, and add an oven. And I’d yank out the bunk mattress and use that to store bikes. Peace - John
Hi Matt and Andrea! My dislikes are the same as yours and my likes are the same as well. This time we like and love the same thing. It’s a nice class B +. Thank you Matt and Andrea for showing this Rv.
Matt and Andrea: great video on a small C . Much better than a B unless you must have the Mercedes chassis. I love the CCW on this. Gas mileage is decent Outside storage is very good Kitchen space is very nice Dislikes: The dinette looks very hard to use. If you need to make the fridge smaller, please do it. The bath entry is way too small, and I’m a fit and trim individual. That little seat behind the cockpit is nice but looks very uncomfortable. Thanks again guys.
Another great review. The CCC and storage is fabulous for such a small rig!! Agree on the little bathroom. Not so sure I like the little single bench seat. Doesn’t look like you can reach the dining table from it. Would prefer the passenger seat swivel and or possibly put a small cabinet there. Hard to say without actually being in it.
Coachmen: please remove the step up as well as the lower cabinet and put the faucet there instead. Flushed. More space. Make the window bigger. The cabinet colors too. Keep up.
The transits where high on my list until the recent recall on the 3.5 twin turbo engines. Of which i own a 2019 f150, which is now having cam phaser issues, luckily its under warranty. I know ford overhead cam engines including the 4.6 and 5.0 have this same issue. I would have thought after 20 plus years ford would have fixed this. The transit fell off my list. Anyone looking at a transit based rv needs to read up on the ford cam phaser issues.
I wish they had dog crate storage under the bed or a place to wedge one in behind the drivers seat. I like the table but needs to be a lagoon and not quite so big.
I think the bathroom door could have been solved by using a sliding/articulated door. I also agree with Andrea about the J lounge access. It needs the front side open-able. Maybe make a leaf or swing out on the table for that instead of a solid piece. Overall, nice RV.
. Don't like TV up at over head bunk & skylight/venting. Just want slide open side windows, ta look outside before & after sleeping. So I don't have to get out of bed. Ha.Ha.Ha & ya'lls do a wonderful job at everything with the interesting info videos. Ha.Ha.Ha
Matt, the floor plan you show at the beginning is not the unit you are reviewing, the floor plan is for a tongue pull by Lockwood with 2 slide outs. FYI.
I really like this model. It would be great though that if you go with the Transit, the front end design would be more sleek with a reduced “boxy” overhead. If you go with the regular can then sure, keep the “C” look with the overhead. I’d also like to see a bigger rear storage door but that’s a soft critique. On the inside, something with the J dinette so you can sit and watch TV, maybe rethink it for theatre type chairs or a sofa with an adjustable table. That’s it :) love the channel.
Suggestion: how about show how practical are these RVs that you are showing? Eg. Where and what size Keurig coffee maker fit on countertop or storage for air fryer, InstaPot, etc…another suggestion is for any full time RVers who needs space for computer and printer…etc
Thank you. great review Matt and Andrea. My Pro's : under 24 ft, decent mpg, and more roomy compared to other B+'s. Con's: overpriced, no solar, design layout is lacking. They should've of gottten rid of that corner seat moved the door more forward extended the kitchen and made the dinnette more accessible.
I would prefer all electric, lithium package with solar panels, swivel cockpit seats and maybe a small sofa with lagoon table. Love the large storage, the camera system and cargo capacity. And the price 🤪
Yes he could tone it down a notch. I know he’s trying to be excited about the rig, but. Here’s one that he is calm. th-cam.com/video/_ddMC7-p7vg/w-d-xo.html Much better.
Merry Christmas and Blessings to all! The floor plan you pictured isn't correct. Question for you, does anyone make/option for a twin bed in corner so a single person can have the convenience of making the bed plus getting in and out of the bed? love your reviews.
Thanks Matt for a great review,, you keep it simple for a non RV'er like me. Can you break down price as compared to living in a real home? No Solar? That would have been a nice addition in this package.
Take away the counter above fridge to add larger fridge, add convection microwave, add solar, and change stove to electric and it would be perfect for us.
I would like to see Rv's that are Diesel. This includes, 12v diesel Heaters, diesel hot water, 12v compressor fridge, 12v A/C, An electrical system that supports an electric toilet. Lithium-Iron phosphate Batteries. Full Canadian winter package, 20 degrees below zero Insulation Package. Well Dream team, give it a shot.
Wish Coachman offered a twin bed model. They are so much more spacious and with easier access and more overhead cabinets. That corner bunk is tiny and would be a real pain to live with for a full timer couple.
Hi Matt & Andrea, great review on this unit. it has a nice floor plan. If they would of added swivel front seats and an adjustable 360 degree Swivel table it would really enhance this floor plan. We are planning our first long distance RV trip, Key Largo, Florida to Alaska. Instead of going threw Canada we have elected to take the Ferry from Bellingham, Washington to Alaska. Because our last class C motor home had some issues and quite a few miles on it, we upgraded, we just took delivery on a 2022 Renegade Explorer 40 ERB. This thing is like a 5 star hotel on wheels. We have a few months before we leave to get this beast ready for the trip. Probably leave in early May and make a slow track from Florida to Washington State....
Hey Matt, didn’t know if you caught this or not but the floor plan display at the beginning of the video is a travel trailer not the motorhome. Just wanted you to be aware. Mr.
On your reviews, can you also share how many seat belts are in the RV units? This B+ look amazing at a great price point but how many total seat belts are in the unit?
More FYI. I was reading in the FB forum on this model line about road noise. Maybe that’s a topic to address in the walk-thrus - how are units lowering road noise.

Nobody is hireing hourly or contracted here. He is contracted. I have a medium standard soc.sec. check. If he doesnt get work this year before our apt. Lease is up. Ee will be homeless and houseless. Like out on the street. Our son pays 1500.00 monthly in apt. Rent. Plus a 100.00 light bill. We told him he needs a motor coach like the winnebago ekko. So we think he has checked it out. He wont tell us. I told him if he decided to buy anything to tell me. So do not buy from anyone unti you talk to matt on matts r.v.reviews. i told him you and andrea is on utube. Had 3 different ways to contact matt. He can really help you and us. Plus save money to. Sept. 1st. Our apt. Lease is up. The rent goes up then we are out of here. Wont have any food money at all. For now our son helps all he can monthly. 200.00 it helps. But not enough. We fo have some food money. We are tired of eating out of can goods. Hardly any meat in a week. 4 days. Stretching it out. Passable. Carpet is 15 or 20 yrs. Old. Needs replaced. Wall units needs replaced. 20 to 30 yrs. Old. Works decent. Could be a. Lot better tho. Most apts. In our area is 925.00 plus lights. Go broke in a hurry.
Thanks matt for all that you do for everyone. Love the videos. Jan from texas. Need a phone no to reach you. We dont have a computer. No experience.
I pick up my AWD unit on Friday!
@@ildalopez2645 Congrats!
I hate when the toilet is next to the shower...it just seems gross! This is much better in my opinion.
@@ildalopez2645 How do you like it? Any thoughts or opinions after ownership? And which floorplan did you go with?
I'm a little worried about the seams in the over the cab sleeping area, I think it will leak, but silicone can fix that down the road.
Flex Seal.
I like this a lot. As a parent my one big difference for me when looking is the three point seatbelts for backseat passengers. Do any dealerships install them in dinettes like this?
I feel like this a great RV for a solo traveler to tour across the country, i'd probably swap the toilet for a porcelain but yea looks great.
Matt's so funny when he gets excited: "Park, drive, neutral"
Just found out reading reviews. Under 89 K, thz pretty good best thing, mpg and shower, nice
Your the best Matt! I love that you do videos for the budget RVers! Not just expensive models. I look forward to every video.
Matt and Andrea: great video on a small C .
Much better than a B unless you must have the Mercedes chassis.
I love the CCW on this.
Gas mileage is decent
Outside storage is very good
Kitchen space is very nice
Dislikes:
The dinette looks very hard to use.
If you need to make the fridge smaller, please do it. The bath entry is way too small, and I’m a fit and trim individual.
That little seat behind the cockpit is nice but looks very uncomfortable.
Thanks again guys.
With that high CCC - swap out the plastic toilet for a porcelin would be the first thing I'd do, still have plenty of CCC to spare.
I still can't understand why RV dinettes with mounted tables is ever a good idea. Especially when space is at a premium, and versatility is a must.
I love your videos, but you saying I almost own this dealership !!! Got my cracking up 😅😂🎉
Coachmen: please remove the step up as well as the lower cabinet and put the faucet there instead. Flushed.
A little color and graphics on the cab would look nice a tinted door window with a shade and a auto Maxx air fan or two would make it about perfect.
Agreed! We are changing the graphics up a bit, tinting the entry door window, and have new Maxx air vents and fans arriving today!
OM..G that PROPANE fridge in a 2022 model= walk of shame COACHMEN!
I think the bathroom door could have been solved by using a sliding/articulated door. I also agree with Andrea about the J lounge access. It needs the front side open-able. Maybe make a leaf or swing out on the table for that instead of a solid piece.
Overall, nice RV.
Finally! A real bed length!! Hey wait, you showed the wrong layout and tricked us! Jen? Was that you??
🥰 I'm waiting for you to bring ... "the check's in the mail" ep🐢🤭
For the small size, this unit is awesome!!
Was thinking the same thing plus add som solar & lithium!
Perfect ! Nice job love the size thanks
This was really informative and entertaining! Thank you
Are you guys going to be at the Tampa RV show?
Yes! Come find us at the Jayco display we are going to be at an orange Matts RV reviews tent
Like the refrigerator, shower and the Ford transit.
Matt I love your energy.
Nice review guys! I've never owned an RV before, but, if I ever decided to get one, this seems to be the perfect size to start with.
I would prefer all electric, lithium package with solar panels, swivel cockpit seats and maybe a small sofa with lagoon table. Love the large storage, the camera system and cargo capacity. And the price 🤪
😀 Why does Andrea ask him to "hold Dawn" when he gets on a roof? 😀
Hey Guys!!!! I'm in love with this one. It's perfect for me.
Always like your reviews guys!
Not sure if anyone noticed but the blueprint in the beginning of the video is a 2022 Coachman cross trail 20cbt travel trailer..
Diagram shows rock wood trailer with 2 slides.
Which one would you recommend for cold weather conditions. Better yet do they make any for handy cap people? Love you videos.
You need a wide angle lens and try to sound less like salesmen and more like a quiet tour without the hyped up and loud sales pitch.
Yes he could tone it down a notch. I know he’s trying to be excited about the rig, but. Here’s one that he is calm. th-cam.com/video/_ddMC7-p7vg/w-d-xo.html Much better.
So cringe worthy
Merry Christmas and Blessings to all! The floor plan you pictured isn't correct. Question for you, does anyone make/option for a twin bed in corner so a single person can have the convenience of making the bed plus getting in and out of the bed? love your reviews.
I just love watching you guys!! 😊
Great floor plan and overall good value!
Matt!!!! 😂 Janet Jackson moment 😂😵😂
Thanks Matt for a great review,, you keep it simple for a non RV'er like me. Can you break down price as compared to living in a real home? No Solar? That would have been a nice addition in this package.
i like it! this would work for me
Take away the counter above fridge to add larger fridge, add convection microwave, add solar, and change stove to electric and it would be perfect for us.
love it i will get this one
Wow CCC I like this one. Damn just when I got into a writing mood ustep comes on.ughhhh now I forgot what I was going to say. Cheers!!!
Love the outside storage!
I thought I was imagining when I saw that floor plan. That would have been nice.
Love your enthusiasm
And Andrea is cute
Wish Coachman offered a twin bed model. They are so much more spacious and with easier access and more overhead cabinets. That corner bunk is tiny and would be a real pain to live with for a full timer couple.
Thor Compass 24KB is what you want.
Confusing, a Rockwood trailer mislabeled as a Coachman floor plan.
Slide-out is for some, a no-go..
Mr.
Likes:
800# bunk with net, outside prep for tv, and huge rear storage.
Dislikes:
Small engine, microwave should be convection, and corner bed.
19:45 I loved it until the towing. I have a Honda Gold Wing and need 4000 tow for it and its spare parts and such. Done with this model
💕 amazing thanks for sharing!!
On your reviews, can you also share how many seat belts are in the RV units? This B+ look amazing at a great price point but how many total seat belts are in the unit?
Good question! There are 3 in the J lounge, 1 in the single seat by the door, and 2 in the cab, for a total of 6 seat belts!
I like the configuration, but can’t tow 7k toll, can it seat on f350 diesel 4x4?
Do you make hybrid and solar power for electricity and induction stove instead of gas
More FYI. I was reading in the FB forum on this model line about road noise. Maybe that’s a topic to address in the walk-thrus - how are units lowering road noise.
