@@TheNastyNamazu Agree - thanks for this. I dropped the entire blue mage quest and class because other guides seem to point to duties more than open world leveling. That's nice if you can find a group willing to help, but for those of us late to the job the open world is more helpful.
Thank you. Everyone else spends too much time talking about nothing. Quick, to the point, and easy to follow. Sick of watching 20 minute videos for something that can be explained in 5 minutes
Great guide! One tip that worked well for me: it’s possible to manually re-enable level sync after turning on the unrestricted party option. While this does make instances more difficult and time consuming, it has the added benefit of giving you a 100% spell learn chance. Some instances are too hard to do this way, but Cutter’s Cry and Bowl of Embers are both manageable on-level as long as you have Basic Instinct and Mighty Guard. If you have trouble with RNG not giving you the darn spell even after a bunch of tries-or if the idea of spamming a dungeon that might decide not to cooperate at the last minute doesn’t appeal-it could be a worthwhile alternative!
I'm late to the levelling BLU party. Hit 60 when it was new, sat on it till now. And of all the things I've seen in guides, the marked maps at 6:48 are the exact godsend of quick and digestible info I was looking for. As well as the guide being straightforward and helpful, you have saved me so much time!
There's a A Relic Reborn: Chimera Trial with only 1 Chimera for the Rem's Voice and the Dragon's Voice Spells which can be done rather quickly. It's unlocked after playing a few ARR Relic Quests. But the payoff is super. Otherwise just let friends carry through a Cutter's Cry in synced, for it is a high ranking Spell and the rate for it to "drop" unsynced is lower than you'd expect.
So I found this video AFTER I made it to the Ram's Voice / Ultravibration stage, but I can say that it is exactly how I did my solo leveling and it works like a charm! So, great video :) I did manage to kill my kongamato for UV around level 56, but it was SUPER touch-and-go and I got it on my first kill which was lucky.
Yeah...I did all of the field acquisition spells each time the lvl cap for BLU increased. I usually use aqua breath - northerlies for a much longer freeze than start going ham with everything else after the spell in question is used (not to mention you can prep another aqua breath - northerlies to refresh the freeze if needed before they unfreeze) made it quick to get new spells so I could focus on the lvl grind, either solo (freeze - vibrate is always nice) or finding the train in the higher zones
Thanks, also you'll be amazed just how much the process speeds up when you get ultravibration. I was able to go for 70 to 80 in maybe an hour and a half.
Yeah, but that is harder for a solo player to do and something I have learned after running multiple blue mage events for learning abilities is...no one ever has the arr relic trials we always have to run cutter's Also thanks. Glad you liked it.
@@TheNastyNamazu That's true. I just wanted to people know it. I did do ARR trial solo at 52lvl with 130ilvl gear. In first try I did die as I run out of mana (forgot Lucid Dreaming). Otherwise I didn't face any trouble. It takes a time to kill it but it also takes time to run dungeon . Those who are looking a bit challenge (and have unlocked ARR trial) will like it. I wouldn't recommend to get ARR trial only for this as Cutter's cry is available for everyone :)
got my blue mage to 70 today using this, thought i'd tell others the issue i ran into. if you're using the rams + ultravibration combo and queuing/leaving dungeons quickly to reset the cooldown, make sure to not do too many at once. apparently you can only do 100 duties a day, and after you've hit that limit you have to wait a full 24 hours before you can do any type of instanced content again. i assume its to prevent bots or something like that, but now i have to wait ages before i can do anything :/
That "Goodluck" just cracked me up. I'm running through the early Hildebrand stuff from ARR to unlock encounters I don't have to get some BLU spells. There's also some Hard mode dungeons I don't have that I need for some extra spells and some Trials I gotta do (Warring Triad for instance). Yeah, you'll need A LOT of "luck".
Yeah, I host blue mage events for the fc rather often, and every time there is that moment of "Oh I don't have x hard-mode(usually Pharos Hard)". There is so many hardmodes especially from earlier in the games history that people just don't know exist. Like with Pharos they might unlock the base dungeon and never do it so they can't even see the unlock for the hard.
I was so lucky to have a friend come with me to get 1000 Needles and Bad Breath under level 20. Coupled with Acorn Bomb and Swiftcast I got to over level 40 in only an hour.
This is the best class. Really takes me to GW1 days of farming for skills. Im a do nothing and alot of it mmo player this class is HEAVEN inside NIRVANA. Ty for the guide i was a lost kitten stuck in a boat w/o it
For 1000 needles you can just lure the mob to the Brass Blade NPC nearby and have it attack it with 1000 needles and the NPC will attack it and get emnity and you can sit back and do nothing.
This guide rules tho an easier to get both ram and dragon voice is by beating the boss of the blue mage quest he drops it as long as you can beat ACT 1 and ACT 2 which are easy
I found out if you wanna take on higher levels at low levels before choco meteor don't have your bird with you because they will knock off the acorn sleep before you can use 1000 needles, and even then i find myself missing most of my 1000 needles on level 40 and above.
I have my bird on healer mode because it's kinda useless as a tank and I usually play DPS, I've found it literally never attacks anything and it's generally a help.
FYI reset your cooldowns using an unsynched trial not a dungeon. There is a limit of 100 dungeons a day to prevent bot farms but trials dont count towards this.

@@TheNastyNamazu ah yes, the Friar Rush...such a wonderful cosmetic to earn. I definitely sped up my Gogo fights by using a final sting combo around 35%-40%. I did mine before the endwalker star crunch but a DH-crit final sting with whistle, tingle, and moon flute took off just over 50% (I tested it a few times to get a decent idea of when to use it before properly doing the fight to learn mechanics) and the fun in phase 2 is the holy/flare spells and the meteor. But I enjoy my BLU carnival titles and my Friar Rush.
for all those saying the trial "A Relic Reborn: the Chimera" is a good way to get "the ram's voice". No. No it is not. I tried it. I won. It took a little over 30 minutes and got nothing (at lv 51). just do "Cutter's Cry". It's faster and easier.
I made the point of noting that 1000 needles does "1000 damage no more or no less" and in the part where I showed 1000 needles being using on multiple enemies I made sure that my battle log was opened so it would display the damage being done(specifically 333 to the 3 enemies). Moreover, I noted that you should only take on multiple enemies if you can survive tanking them(and/or using acorn bomb one of the bonus spells I listed) the damage isn't the important part of that equation its can you survive.
