    I'm a side sleeper. I've had right shoulder pain for months. It had gotten so bad that I couldn't sleep on that side anymore. I did your exercise last night before bed. I slept on the right side pain FREE. You are the man! You consistently have great info in your videos.

    Thank you for this video! That exercise is helping a lot.
    Some things that have been reinforced over the latest past nine weeks of my shoulder pain: my GP is useless at diagnosing or treating my shoulder issues exactly (related but different issues over years), the MRI radiologist was able to pinpoint the source of inflammation (infraspinatus tendinopathy), and my physio was able to pinpoint which muscle was most affected and knows a helluva lot more about the working anatomy than my GP.
    Go to a GP, get an MRI booked, take those results to a good physio, and then start the real path to healing. Once I got my MRI results (the GP told me I had “mild inflammation” after he read the results which is very non-specific and useless), I was able to find this video and the soup can exercise which is a game changer for sleeping. The physio had already narrowed it down to teres minor involvement and given me proper exercises prior to seeing the MRI results.

  • @spiderbabybill
    @spiderbabybill หลายเดือนก่อน

    If your pain sounds like this, I think this video will help. Describing these symptoms to my GP got me nowhere but the associated neck pain seems to be an indicator:
    “Primary symptoms of infraspinatus trigger points include front of shoulder pain, mid-thoracic back pain, painful weak grip, and problem holding arms up. Secondary symptoms of infraspinatus trigger points include front of arm pain, back of neck pain, radial forearm pain, and thumb and radial hand pain.”
    Basically angry shoulder pain, particularly at night. Pain radiating down through the elbow and sometimes hand. Issues typing at a desk some days. Difficultly sleeping on my back because of the neck pain right around the C5.

  • @mikeanthony5206
    @mikeanthony5206 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Just to add one more tip for the side sleepers that worked for me:
    When I discovered hugging a pillow it changed my life. But over time I realized I was pulling the pillow over to my front side which rotated my shoulder forward. And since I was still hugging the pillow in this position it caused tremendous pain in my shoulder. What helped was throughout the night making sure I stayed more on my side and keeping my upper arm parallel with my torso.
    My 2¢.

    Ive seen 10 therapists, 3 doctors. Ive had a lumber puncture, 3 mri's (neck shoulder and elbow) and 5 ultrasounds of my back and trapesiuz/shoulders/neck etc. It all comes back as fine or good.
    Yet im still in pain everyday for every minute of the day. I cannot train chest or shoulders. If i even dare to try im left with severe pain/brainfog/fatigue/lethargy for days even weeks after. IVe been bodybuilding for 13 years and i miss training chest and shoulders. I dont know where to go from here..... Even doing the smallest external rotation exercise with a band or cable induces this extreme brainfog/lethargy/exhaustion. Man what i would give to have you work with me. I have been dealing with this for over 7 years now.......

    That additional pillow under your head surely must be very bad for your neck, though? That's extremely high and really bending the neck a lot! I'm gonna try that exercise though, I've had pain in my shoulder for a few years now, whenever I move my arm to the front, or inwards, too much. I have to have something like a pillow or plushie to hold at my chest so that my shoulders don't "collapse" (they don't actually dislocate or anything, it's just painful), and it always helps when I have something at my waist as well - so it sounds like similar solutions.
    I could feel my hips hurting just by looking at the way she was lying in the video, though! I have to look for a video on that, too, I hope you made one!

    I searched your channel, I couldn’t find a video for my issue. I have top shoulder pain type feeling. My shoulder does shrug up, and I have to focus to get it into the right position.
    But when i lay down, and move my arms up to my ears and try to bring them in a circle down to my hips (imagine making a snow angel) my shoulder blade pops out and my elbow begins to bend and lift up. I will go back up and try again, but it will again pop out my shoulder blade and my elbow will bend and lift itself.
    this is beginning to weaken my entire right side, even my hips are feeling weaker now, like my whole back is getting messed up.
    Please help me to correct this issue.
