Correct me If I am wrong, according to ChatGPT, to know what is the type of your soil, you do something called "soil ball test", you take some of the soil you have, and fill it with some water but not at a level to destroy your soil, then try to form a ball using your hand (just make sure to wash your hands after finishing the test), There is 3 chances (not sure),
If it doesn't hold it's shape at all, then it's Sandy soil (not what you want)
If it holds it's shape but easy to cut it's shape then it's a bit heavy soil (what you want)
if it holds it's shape but a bit hard to cut it's shape, then it's very heavy soil (not what you want)
And I really want someone to correct me if I am wrong, yes I have give more information than necessary for lettuce, but if my comment is correct then it's a good advice for planting, not just lettuce
And a bonus information, according to creativity channel and chatgpt, green onions also grows fast but not as fast as lettuce, and for ChatGPT only, watercress also grows fast

Most lettuce is used in salads, either alone or with other greens, vegetables, meats and cheeses. Romaine lettuce is often used for Caesar salads, with a dressing that includes anchovies and eggs. Lettuce leaves can also be found in soups, sandwiches and wraps, while the stems are eaten both raw and cooked.
The health benefits of lettuce include lower cholesterol levels, prevention of cancer, protection of neurons, regular sleep, anxiety control, lower inflammation, and a constant supply of antioxidants.

Thank you for sharing such informative videos, I have lately developed passion for gardening and I am trying my luck growing some vegetables in my balcony. I get 5-6 hours of sun light there and would like to take your opinion if I can grow vegges in my balcony????

Lettuce grows great indoors! All leafy greens, microgreens, and herbs do. A good organic potting mix, quality seeds and a nice sunny window and you're golden!
