I learn the most from your "progression videos". It's gotta be a ton of work to keep track of all of various stages of each family of videos and to put them all together but they sure are instructional, enjoyable and beneficial to your audience. Thank you so very much. Great job again. Cheers from Wisconsin.

You guys provide SO MUCH KNOWLEDGE for us beginner gardeners! You truly provide an easy approach on how to do things that is not intimidating at all. I started last year with a 4x8 raised garden bed that turned into an epic failure as I mixed like 15 different types of vegetables into one spot! It was a hot mess! But I did come out with lots of zucchini, squash and tomatoes/tomatillos that I grew in containers. After watching your videos last fall and into winter and learning from my mistakes, I decided to rent 3 community gardens here in town and give it a go. I know that I speak for many of us, but THANK YOU for the time and effort that you put into making your videos; experienced gardeners like you are an encyclopedia of knowledge, we're so lucky to benefit from it!!!

Thank you. The progression style videos are extremely difficult to create. Takes a lot of space on the hard drive which means we have to have multiple hard drives. They are high risk videos too. Meaning if one thing goes wrong along the way the entire video is trashed. They take 6-8 months to create so that is a significant investment that could be lost. We have lost several. This is why most TH-camrs stay away from these types of videos

We live in nj and are in the woods with minimal sunlight and space. Wood chips around our plants has been able to keep diseases down which has been a problem in past gardens. We love fresh salads knowing where our plants come from. We use raised beds made of plastic recycled drums and grow organic. The raised bed we made on the ground became ensnarled with tree roots and now the beds are on legs. We love your informative videos and your compassion for life and gardening. Wow, first time gardener here (65+ yrs old - but not too late to start!) and today you came up in my feed just as I was going to plant lettuce seeds! Thank God. I love your progression videos. I know I'm not planting my vegetables the perfect way (and it concerns me because of all the time and effort I've put into learning and trying) because I see one video then another and another and.....etc,. So I finally started planting. But then later as I'm learning everyone's techniques and do's and dont's I watch another one last night while planting seeds on my outdoor gardening table and OHHHH NOOOO!!! 😱 I found out that once a seed germinates you need to remove it from the warming mat BUT leave it under the grow light, or in sunny window. I ran back into the house and started removing the peat pot starts so they wouldn't over heat. What a dilemma. I live in a very small home and not only have they taken up my whole couch - my cat is not happy - but now also my shower in bigger containers with a grow light hovering over them - and I'm not thrilled because, well let's just say I'm not taking a shower with them so they have to be temporarily relocated every time. So I had to find a place for the germinated starts so I wouldn't burn their roots. Only one video I've watched has ever said that.
    Ugh!
But I'm determined to keep learning and grow all the vegetables and fruits I love this year especially because of what is going on and what's to come (I have the straw, blue, black, & rasp berries; 4 cherries grafted on one tree; 2 pears grafted on one tree; one apple). I've spent HOURS researching "HOW TO's" and it was finally time to take the plunge and buy, order, prepare, plant and pray! I'm in zone 8b - short growing season. And now that I've got starts growing I'm like a mother hen checking on her chicks. "Good morning, how are you? Oh you look so healthy and happy! (as I fawn over their little leaves or seed heads peeking out. Even if they don't look so hot, I think positive and give them the 'you look amaaazing' vibe.) Have some water it's good for you." Then at the end of a long day of them trying outgrow those seed hats off their little leaves "it's time for bed, lights out, I love you..." I touch every one of them morning and night as I'm tending to them. And yes - I take pictures.
I think what I need to do now is quickly build a little indoor/outdoor like seedling station. So they have a place to germinate with the grow lights and heating mats, then move into the next seed section to grow, then a hardening station, then into their final resting (growing) place - a container. If anyone knows of a growing station video I can build to go from seed to 'container ready' please post a link! TY. I've been collecting pallets I'm going to paint for hanging containers to grow vertical so I can use those too.
    Happy growing everyone 💖

I went to the thrift store and got an old flour sifter (don't use the Mrs.'s or there will be hell to pay) and I put the seed starter soil and sift it over the seeds and then I use a squirt bottle set on spray and wet it down.

I'm learning a lot from you and a few others. Just need someone to help with building the tables and moving things back and forth everyday. Takes lots of care and I have a bum knee and my back is out again. Having been active all my life, this really blows.

Thanks for a very clear and easy to follow explanation. This took you weeks to make, so that we can take a few minutes out of our day to learn. I think I'm going to go buy some red romaine seeds today!

Thanks so much for these videos. Last year was the first time I was able to grow lettuce from seeds thanks to your video. Showing everything from start to finish is so helpful. Starting on year #2 now!

Thank you and God bless you both for teaching the world how to slow down and grow your own foods organically. I've watched this video quite a few times and started my trifecta of red romaine, Paris Island romaine and butter crunch just the way you taught it. After getting through some early leggy issues all of my plants are looking amazing and I'm getting ready to transplant them to 5 quart containers for their final journey to the salad bar. Your neighbors are lucky to have a wonderful couple that exemplifies God's love to the world. God is great! I like your boat too!

The whole time you're doing that video I knew you were a Godly Man and you're a lifesaver 2 because I have been trying to figure out how to get this Lettuce grown for three years now no videos from seed to show me how to do this so I've been trying to figure it out on my own unsuccessfully. So thank you God bless you.

Hi, thanks for this tutorial....this is going to help me so much! I have got seed starting down, but my failures start happening when the little veg starts go outside. I like how you implement low cost supplies and methods. I'm a new subber! You go at just the right speed and right amount of detail for someone trying to learn! Not everybody had parents who could pass on skills....I really appreciate you!

Welcome to the family! Never give up on your garden. We learn far more from our mistakes than we do from our successes. That is what turns our thumbs green 👍

I learned something new about cinnamon being a natural fungicide. Thank you, I started my seeds about three weeks ago. I hope it’s not too late to add the cinnamon.

I was just thinking that I need advice on growing lettuces and spinach...And this video appeared as soon as I opened TH-cam!
Praise The Lord! And I give Thanks to Nancy and Hollis 🙏💖🙏 I have seed potatoes growing in 5 gal containers per your videos 💖🙏 I REALLY, REALLY appreciate your videos with sketches (potatoes part 1 and 2!💖) They are incredibly helpful for people like me who tend to overthink things and always have a million questions. Your discussion, drawings and time progression videos always satisfy! Thank you so very much for all your hard work. Many people will be saved from the coming famine because of you and Nancy.
    God Bless You Both! ✝️👑🕊🙏✨💖

Thank you Hollis and Nancy for all you do each year I try to reach out to content providers and let them know how much I appreciate their work it helps in so many ways in the garden and beyond the garden, You always remind me to give thanks and who is really in control of how well my garden does and I thank you for that its easy in the middle of all the chaos to forget to stop and give thanks or let my pride get in the way and take all the glory for myself . I hope you know just how blessed and rare the 2 of you are God has truly blessed you both
