- Hey brahs! In this video I went and played every single Rainbow 6 game that I could get my hands on.. I played a bunch of games in this video and it was really fun to see the evolution with each one and how we went all the way from where it all started in 1998 to where we're at now. I grew up playing these games, so this was a nostalgia journey for me but when did you first play a Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six game?

literally the game turned from story base to strictly a competitive game. in my opinion i dont think it has any correlation to the rest of the franchise if it werent for the name of the game
Originally there was a Rainbow Six Patriots, which was more like Vegas, but it got into development hell. Siege is basically salvaged and improved multiplayer part of Patriots. It initially had to be a short multiplayer only break before next proper R6 with story and such, but Siege suddenly blew up and Ubi decided to dutch the roots and go full ESports live service

Can only hope Vegas 2 gets a call back in siege one day. Even if it’s cosmetic bundles or something. Best case scenario they reintroduce Bishop or give recruit some level of customization like it was in the Vegas series.

Vegas 2 had the most fun T-hunt out of any of the games imo. I would play hours offline whenever I didn't have Xbox live or internet available. The mechanics, the leveling system, all of it was just superb and having a squad come with you you could direct made it so much more immersive. I've played every siege since r6 3, and honestly the online modes were all fun as hell too. I understand why you couldn't show those, but maybe make a video of the evolution of T-hunt? Cause it evolved and then downgraded for siege I feel. It matches more of the tone of the game, but compared to Vegas 2, no comparison. Love the video though man, creative and would like to see more diverse vids from you fam!

Raven shield is incredible, I still have the original RS3 discs. Ground Branch is shaping up to be the ultimate spiritual successor to it.

As for Rainbow Six 3, the version on Steam works great with some config file tweaks. :)

The original R6 games with the blueprint planning and hardcore mechanics were the absolute best ones!
That old Red Storm theme was so great. Too bad there hasn't been good R6 game since Raven Shield.

Rainbow six Rogue Spear was a phenomenal game and one of the main reasons I flunked out of college my first go around. Women, a whole lot of beer and a frat also played a pivotal role in my freshman year debauchery.

I remember playing Vegas 1 and 2 on the 360. Loved 2 got it the day it came out and played it a lot. Then when I got siege on the xbox one it came with vegas 1 and 2 which was awesome. Hadn't played them in years. Nice to see the nostalgia in this video

Rainbow Six 1 was my first ever FPS and boy howdy I am still not good enough at it to finish it to this day. It doesn't help that the GOG version is kinda tricky to get running even despite being sold that way, it basically only works properly on Windows 7 and before.
But yes, do the tutorials. It doesn't play even remotely like anything else out there, and the planning phase is the meat of the game. You are supposed to go over the blueprints of each level with a fine tooth comb and spend hours fine tuning timings, go codes, who to swap to when, what rooms to hit with what grenades. It's maddeningly complex and I direly wish someone would make a modern take on this specific gameplay loop because it's quite unique.
As for Rogue Spear, the game came out on PC first, and you can actually grab it for free since it's basically abandonware. Look up Rainbow Six Black Ops- it's a combined edition of R6 and Rogue Spear with all expansions that just runs on modern hardware.
...Athena Sword is an expansion pack, and I really hate that modern gaming has descended into such anarchy that expansion packs are just not a thing anymore. It's.... basically DLC before DLC existed, if you wanted to ship a big chunk of new content for an existing game, you had to ship another disc and have people buy that because internet in the 90s would take hours to download even a couple megabyte file unless you were on some souped up corporate T1 network.
So...I don't know why he didn't show it but Rainbow Six 1998 has a great planning phase that would get better and peak with Rainbow Six 3
You can actually stealth the first mission by climbing the wall garden thing (for vines) around the back. The game is more about the planning phase and then executing it. You can actually win based solely off a well made plan and go codes without even taking control of a character.

Raven shield is the GOAT for me, so many memories, the way the game makes you feel so vulnerable yet so powerful with all the tools and tactics. The last tactical R6 and for me the best!

Raven Shield is a blast. It's a shame Ubisoft dropped their ball with Rainbow Six Lockdown when it completely changed the direction away from being a solid tactical FPS to became a generic action FPS. When Lockdown came out in 2005, it was disappointing and then SWAT 4 came out and blew R6 Lockdown away
I remmember starting on Vegas 2 thinking it had the most realistic graphics back in the days,watching the gameplay ,just brings me a cannon ball of nostalgia ;))
Rainbow Six 3 gets 30/10 and if you contradict me, you and I are going to have a boot camp where you actually learn to play it properly until you either go insane or learn to appreciate the classics :P

you missed an entire "generation" of R6 games, the Rogue Spear series (which includes Black Thorn and 2 other standalone expansions) was basically a stopgap between what you played in R6 and R6 3, it was essentially the "second" R6 game

I had sooo many times on RsLas Vegas 2, that game was amazing for it's time, both pvp or pve terrorist hunt where amazing and the enemies to its time were kinda relentless.

I played R6 Vegas 2 as my first R6 game years ago when I was in elementary school. It was free for Xbox gold on Xbox 360 and I would secretly play it when my parents weren't close by. I always had to switch to something else quickly if they walked by because I wasn't allowed to play a rated M game at that age.
I started gaming with Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear on a Windows 95 computer. So fun.
Rainbow Six:Vegas 2 me and my xbox live homies spent hours playing terrorist hunt and deathmatches at the villa...best of memories

Played many of the Rainbow 6 games over the years. I was always amazed how innovative the gameplay was. Vegas and Vegas 2 were a couple of my most played games back in the days. Awesome to go back and see things that were inspiration for some of Siege's features

Vegas and Vegas 2 were what I grew up with, the perfect blend of arcade shooter with tactical gameplay. I miss those days, when I had no responsibilities in life. Don't we all wish we could go back to those days and do it all over again.

I love both Vegas and Siege. Both play differently, but both give me similar vibes: an enemy sneaking up on me and me losing my shit missing every shot.

I always loved playing R6 Vegas 2 on my PS3, I still remember how badass I felt abseiling down and breaking through the window.

They need to make a new single player rainbow six. They can keep siege as the multiplayer, and make other rainbow sixes as the story modes with a cohesive story, and Vegas cover mechanics
they wont make it. ubisoft PR heads are too far up thjeir own asses. even though GR Breakpoint is a nice game (yes it is a nice game) but you can see the live service, multiplayer and overall vibe that doest feel like a singleplayer game

R6 Vegas is still the perfect rendition of rainbow 6 to this day imo
Vegas 1 and 2 both hold up today if anyone is wanting to play either, with Vegas 2 being my favorite of the two, way more of a Vegas feel throughout story mode. Also have lots of hours on terrorist hunt. I would highly recommend an FOV mod, the head shaking can also be fixed by locking the FPS at 60 but some NPCs won’t do it even with high FPS. I prefer high FPS and just ignore the head shakes. Team commands on Vegas 2 are extremely powerful, marking enemies almost gives your teammates auto aim, especially when they’re breaching a door.
That fact that the youtuber is saying get killed kid pretty much i think he was born like in the late 2000s .
I had to OG rainbow 6 for the Nintendo 64. I’ve played just about all of the games. Insane that 24 years ago i didn’t even know how big rainbow 6 would be and siege ever being a thing. Siege could be better, and it’ll get there I hope, but I love the whole entire game entirely. So unique and fun.
The vegas games hold a special place in my heart as i spent so much time playing both and I remember grinding and putting so much hours into the game but yeah personally the vegas games are the best
I'm a old ass man and Rainbow Six 3: Ravenshield was my main game from its release until ubisoft stopped supporting the game. I even played competitively on the CAL and TWL leagues. Some of the best memories in gaming. Damn I'm ancient 😢

Vegas 2 was truly the best rainbow game made. Terrorist hunt was un match a bunch of guns first super heavy online PVP customization and as out of this world good. And if you hit Max level you unlocked the ability to create your own camos. I miss it dearly

rainbow six siege 3 was one of my favorite games growing up. spent hours trying to beat the penthouse level
If they made a Rainbow Six Vegas 3 with Siege's gun play, it would be an instant buy... but I think that's a bit too much effort for Ubisoft. I'm also 32 so I was well alive when R6 was first released! I don't know if you eventually found out as well, but anyone else who is curious, the reason the Vegas 2 characters were spazzing out was because it runs at 30fps and you have to use a frame limiter to chill out all the characters, makes it so the enemies don't lock to your head as quickly too. Great video, I've pretty much played all of these titles!
R6 Vegas is one of my favorite games ever. It was one of the first games I played online on the Xbox 360 and the map Calypso Casino is still one of my favorite multiplayer maps ever.

Forest R6 game I played was way back on PS1 (wasn't featured in video) but from what I remember, it was pretty good for what it was. Had hostage rescue, team selection /ordering. Was a bunch of fun

Just a basic 8v8 TDM best gun wins. Everyone gets whatever gun they want. One thing I wish they'd add to Siege is being gimped. When your health goes below 50% you can run anymore and you drag your leg

I was playing codWW2 with some guy I met online and was telling him about R6siege. He said he hasn’t played but he used to play it in the 90s. Some older lady that had her mic muted plugged it in and confirmed it was in the 90s.

For anyone who remembers R63 differently like I did when I rebought gold edition for PC, the Xbox original version is actually a different game with a different campaign and characters. You still play as Ding Chavez but you have specific named squadmates if I remember correctly and also that dope ass into scene with the helicopter :)
