I am still salty about the Nøkk skin from Brutal Swarm. That super-imposed image of her from the animated scene onto her 3D model looked SO GOOD, yet we get a tattered bedsheet instead.
I wish the image in the thumbnail was a real headgear because it actually looks sick

@@anarchyd2 the current one has another legendary outfit and headgear for nøkk, and BOTH her primary weapons.
the tier 100 is actually kali though, since her gun has the weird prismatic effect on the square.
I think characters, especially the SAS guys had personality without their faces shown, I felt it made them seem real and closer to the unit of the SAS. I liked the contrast of them compared to those how had their faces revealed. It gave some mystery to them. Idk if I’m the the minority of wanting characters with their faces covered to keep them covered. Nøkk skin in game not showing her face was odd, but if I remember rightly when she first came out when she rappelled upside down the mesh used to flip the other way. But since she had no face underneath or didn’t wish to reveal it they then permanently pinned the mesh to her torso so that doesn’t happen, so it could’ve been a reason why they couldn’t do it?? But probably just uni being lazy
The only operators that have kept their faces hidden are considered the introverts, jäger is autistic and doesn’t talk to most on rainbow and mute is well, completely mute apart from a couple words shared with fuze
Also it’s a big part of nokks lore that her identity is hidden, she’s a part of royalty and in order to protect her and her family her identity is kept hidden, that’s also shown by all her info the biography being redacted/ classified. It’d be a real kick in the balls if they did do a full face reveal since it’s a large part of her character and background

jager’s face was actually possible to see back the chimera event. when he was downed and needed to be healed for that one objective where your supposed to protect him apparently they actually modeled his face underneath the glass and you were able to get a decent peak under it.
this was however ages ago and most people didn’t really bother since well your playing the game and didn’t have anytime to mess around sadly.

It wasn’t, you can see behind his helmet glass if you peek it in the customization menu, and on a headgear which has that glass more transparent and you can only ser his eyes like tachanka so no, we can’t see his face

13:29 Mute, Tachanka and even Jager are such iconic characters and I'm so glad they're fully advertised with their headgear on. Ubisoft should go back to tactical stuff rather than pure competitive marketing
The game itself is tactical, the rest is world building, and keeping it fully tactical would eventually get stale in my opinion.
A big part of the early operators not really having faces was probably because this game was a lot more of a real world tactical shooter and each group was just special forces from X country so you have the SAS, GIGN, GSG and Spetznaz all represented by faceless members of the group all in similar outfits
It's sad they ditched the more grounded feel, but I see why it can be prohibiting from a game design standpoint
Jager did get his bone structure revealed in the 1st Halloween event 3:42
Fun Fact: The GIGN isn't allowed to show their face in uniform IRL, So showing their face would break their rules and is essentially pointless

I think docs face being so prominent makes sense, he is a doctor so if has to treat someone it’s more convenient for him, and more calming for any patient

Part of Jager's face can be seen if his figurine is turned sideways. You can see his eyes. Also, the Dark Waters helmet reveals half of his face.

Mute's elite skin does show a good bit around his eyes, but I wish it didn't Mute should always be faceless to me.
Same with Vigil, the intro was him putting on the mask. And now he has a battlepass headgear

So did Smoke, back in Outbreak one of the headgear was a completely opaque gas mask and then they went and added his elite skin.

If you want to see Lord Tachanka's Face just look at thr Voice Actor, he is what looks the most Tachankest possible
I'm hoping that for the characters whom we don't know anything about what their face looks like, Mute, Jäger, and Tachanka, that for at least one of them that there is something cool to see there. Like, what if they had like a part of their face was missing, or they had like a metal jaw or something. I feel like that would add a lot of personality to that character while also making a lot of sense as to why they always cover up

i´d really like, if more concealed characters would come. i like masks and the secret behind it can stay a secret. leave some things to your imagination, it wont hurt :)
I like the masks but I want them to have a unique look to them as well, which is getting increasingly hard to do. How often have you confused a rook for a doc or a smoke for a mute on your drone? Shit's annoying.

The interesting thing with Jackal is that in his default he has messy slickback hair. I hope one day we can get a skin for him where that slickback hair is shown clearly rather than the hairstyle from his elite. (Bcuz i'm a simp, but i love both hairstyles)

One cool funny theory I like to believe to be true is that nokk is mozzie’s wife. In one concept art you can see mozzie with his wife and she looks extremely extremely close to nokk. It’s a funny dumb theory but I would like to believe it to be true haha

Yeah, smoke's young face does not really leave up to super imposing operator's video "don't ask me about the canister". Like, bro, you just a kid with a scar on the face.
And that video is more for something like special mission, where you gather 5 operators just for one task, and the guy on your team is using something, you really shouldn't ask about.
Because after this mission (4-9 rounds) you would not see him again and you shouldn't know, what is in the canister.
It's good to have both types of characters: with and without their faces shown. That's like situation with Revan from KOTOR then devs wanted a cool and iconic character design so instead of giving him a face they gave him a helmet (they were inspired by Bobba Fett btw). At the beggining of Siege Ubi probably never even thought of giving operators personality/likeness/etc. but as the game became more popular they added a bit of fan-service to it by giving new ops faces and revealing faces of the old ones. It is pretty cool but I hope not every character will get a face reveal, especialy Mute, Vigil and Nokk. Vigil's and Nook's whole arcs are about them hiding their personality and faces so it would be upappropriate (from my point of view), meanwhile Mute is just a guy who does his job and doesn't interact with people around him often, so it would suit his character. I also don't really want Mute's face to be shown because I am afraid I would get disappointed, Mark is my favorite character and I kinda prefer to stick to my imagination on that part. Though, in Vigil's case, face reveal could show some character development, as if he could feel himself safe even without the mask in the future

I'm pretty sure Tachanka is his voice actor, in the outbreak cutscenes of 2018 they did a cutscene with Tachanka's voice actor wearing mocap.
I love the fact that they're leaning towards showing their faces bc it allows me to get attached to the characters alot more and it makes the characters that haven't or dont want to show thier face stand out more like if nok and vigil remained masked like mute i would've never had an issue with that bc those 3 are like the mysterious opps and having everyone else shoe there face atcleast once would've made that stand out more
Nokk and Vigil remaining masked should be canon and also should stay. Their mystery is essentially their characters and revealing them would just ruin it imo

I hope if we finally get unmasked cosmetics for characters like Solis and Nøkk, they don’t fuck up the face models. I’d be fine with never seeing their faces in-game tho, Nøkk especially, it fits the character.
All i realized from this was that there are a lot more added ops than i thought there would be and that the marketing for them seems quite low since i only really remember a couple being recognizing.
Fuze's Rengoku headgear also reveals his face. Jäger's Shadow Brine headgear shows off his eyes and eyebrows. Mute's elite skin was changed so his eyes are showing now. Kapkan's "Foliage Cover" headgear shows him without face paint (albeit only his eyes are showing).
Interesting fact about Lion is his face changed quite a lot. In the board behind Harry, he looks a lot older and has a beard. Same for outbreak cutscenes where his face can be seen on the file

I think Nøkk is working with Deimos, that’s why her face is still not revealed. In the lore, they say there is a mule in R6 it could be Nøkk because she faught her own mates in the comics during the search of Deimos

I'm still wondering if it would be very difficult to make a nøkk face model from the game files, I think it's possible but I'm not sure
Lion looks really like Doc, or perhaps it's a face that was reused and modified from its own games, or this might apply to many characters as well. Nice job, Ubisoft.

i cant believe that so many cosmetics are locked behind past battle passes/bundles, like 90%+ of them and yet everyone is okay with them clogging up gigabytes of storage yet never being obtainable anymore.
fucking hate companies manipulating FOMO just for cool cosmetics. hope they add a way to get them somewhere in the future.

they would make a lot more money if they made more cosmetics available for newer players that get into siege each year. the FOMO is a powerful tool to make people buy shit so that they dont miss out but they don't take into account new players which would 100% buy older cosmetics but cannot.

@@ven3558 the point still stands it’s a battle pass skin meaning it’s limited time, if you want an even better example take the COD battle pass since you can get new operators in that that aren’t available after the season ends.
