- Be aware, full spoilers in this video. This is the last part in the game, including the final boss. Played in Normal difficulty and with Naked Jehuty (you can select it after you finish the game once).
Why I love this game so much cause you practically become as strong as the final boss which is satisfying considering last game you had to run
I played first game in 2004,I got from a cousin. I couldn't find the second one,so I played first one over and over. It mad me mad I could never beat anubis. So I finally bought the HD remaster this year and I was so happy to finally beat him after all this time (17 years!).
God. Is it just me, or does the soundtrack for this boss fight just SCREAM MGS2?

Reminds me more of MGS3, some of the brass in this is the same used in the Jungle Alert theme. But yeah, what @Zennethe said.

This fight is probably, and will probably always be, my favorite of all time.

Got stuck on the fight until I discovered the side-hit move I’ve never used once up until this point.
I hate how everyone on gamefaqs says this fight is so easy that you don't even have to try to win and that it's impossible to lose. Really? I've died several times--usually before he even gets down to half HP.
I can't even touch him when I melee him usually due to those white plates around him, and his projectiles always hit me, even when I dash.
+Lunavarion The secret is to dash strike him. That's the thing no guide tells you.
+Lunavarion When the red lasers cone after you, zero shift. When the fireball comes after you, dash left or right diagonally
***** I played the PS3 version, which I think is harder than the PS2 American version. Still, knowing that one trick made all the difference.
Unfortunately, the re-release has increased difficulty for some reason. I died several times when playing.
Anubis One Of The Best Video Games Villain’s Of All Time
I don't know how he avoids the homing projectiles so easily during the end of the battle. They always caught up with me even if I zero shifted.
You should have used the hexagon shields on the walls they always respawn so you never run out of them plus aslong as you used the shield button with it, you can just move forward to anubis and go through his Burst projectiles.
Great battle and good god this game kicks ass, n about freaking time konami ported this to 360 and PS3, I pitty thoose fools for missing out on this game.

I'm confused. My memory is of fighting Anubis in space in a kind of cylindrical forcefield between one place and another.
That was the Anubis fight just before this one. This is the final Anubis fight.

AH. I'm not sure why I thought the other was the final fight...
DGneoseeker1 It was definitely way tougher and thus more fitting of being the final fight. In the HD collection, you even get a trophy called 'It's Over.' Of course, once you beat the real final fight, you get a trophy called 'It's Over, Really.' Still, I think it was cheap to have two final fights the way they did, especially since the first of the two was way harder.
Guh more of the ZOE and Armored core comparisons The games are nothing a like! Only game i've played thats like ZOE is Another Century's Episode R but that game sucked.

No its not....its exceptionally easy and incredibly boring. Rest of the game is fine. This boss battle wasn't that great. If you thinks it hard maybe you don't play many mecha(giant robot) games?
